LISBON -- Rylee Cloutier is the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center's September Student of the Month.

Rylee is a senior from Crestview High School and is enrolled in the Health Academy (HA) Program under the instruction of Pam Dawson. She is a member of both the National Technical Honor Society and the SkillsUSA Chapters at the CCCTC. At Crestview, she is a member of the Spanish Club.

Rylee is employed with Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she started as a dietary aide and has since moved into the position of a Certified Nurse Aide. During her junior year of high school, she earned Nurse Aide Certification as well as her CPR and First Aid. She is currently working on becoming certified as a Patient Care Technician and will start Phlebotomy during the second semester to become a certified phlebotomist.

Rylee plans to attend college after graduation to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and become a registered nurse. She strives to achieve good grades throughout high school and into college as well as obtain all available certifications that can be earned through the CCCTC.

Rylee stated, "The CCCTC set me up for my future and made me realize how excited I am to be working in the healthcare field and helping those who need it."

Rylee was nominated by Dawson, who stated, "Rylee is a wonderful student and is very conscientious and hard-working. She is extremely busy outside of school with work and extracurricular activities. Instead of making excuses about being busy and not having time to complete her work, Rylee is diligent and uses her time wisely in class and always gives her best effort. Rylee demonstrates an unwavering commitment to her studies and has a passion for learning and doing her best. She is a valued member of the Health Academy program and carries these same characteristics over to her work place. It is apparent how passionate she is about her job and in providing the best care possible to her residents. I look forward to watching Rylee on this journey as she continues to mature and grow. She is a remarkable young lady."

Rylee is the daughter of Dan and Becky Cloutier.
