MINERVA - Something sinister is lurking behind the door of Room 214, and moviegoers will soon have the opportunity to discover its terrifying secrets as the new independent psychological horror thriller What Lives in Room 214? makes its premiere at the historic Roxy Theatre in downtown Minerva on Friday and Saturday. Both screenings begin at 7 p.m.

Produced by Caving In Films and directed by Brandon Rice, What Lives in Room 214? takes audiences on a suspenseful journey into a world where reality begins to unravel and nothing is quite as it seems.

The film follows Cory King, portrayed by Adam Joseph Turner, a successful B-list actor fresh off the biggest movie of his career. Searching for his next big opportunity, Cory checks into the Sunset Hills Motel, where he encounters successful entertainment industry figure Paul Denner, played by Timothy J. Cox.

However, what begins as a promising new chapter quickly takes a disturbing turn. As familiar faces come and go, Cory's stay in Room 214 becomes increasingly unsettling, sending him down a dark and dangerous path that threatens far more than his acting career. As the boundaries between reality and nightmare begin to blur, one terrifying question remains: What lives in Room 214?

The two-night premiere offers audiences a unique opportunity to experience an independent film on the big screen while supporting the creativity and dedication of independent filmmakers. The historic Roxy Theatre provides an intimate setting for what promises to be a suspense-filled evening of psychological horror.
