Two local public libraries receive grant funding

Two local public libraries have been awarded state funding. The Salem Public Library will receive $10,143 and the Columbiana Public Library $13,500 in Guiding Ohio Online grants through the State Library of Ohio. During its May meeting, the State Library of Ohio Board approved more than $368,000 in federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funding for eighteen public libraries across the state. Minerva chamber to host stargazing night

The Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce will host a stargazing night Wednesday, June 17, at Great Trail Golf Course, at about 9:15 p.m. The event is free, for all ages, and will take place near the #18 green, by the clubhouse. Drive to the end of the parking lot and turn left, then drive to the gravel lot. Great Trail Golf Course is located at 10154 Great Trail Drive, and cancellations will be posted on the Chamber Facebook page.
