Final 4th Thursday Banquet in Salem

Friends of the Banquet will sponsor the 4th Thursday Dine In or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Thursday at the Salem Memorial Building. This will be the last 4th Thursday Banquet; only the 4th Thursday Banquet will be discontinued. The menu will include penne pasta and meatballs, green beans, applesauce, fresh vegetables and fruit, and pudding. Dine in will park behind the building and proceed to front door. Local students recognized in international competition

INDIANAPOLIS — Several local students have been recognized at an international competition. The International Violin Competition of Indianapolis (IVCI) recently announced the 30 Streeter Hadley Matthews Grand Award Winners and 120 Regional Winners of the inaugural 2026 Juried Exhibition of Student Art (JESA). Thanks to the generosity of the Ohio-based Cynthia P. Matthews Family Foundation, the IVCI expanded the program to Ohio for the first time, building on its program in Indiana which began in 1986.
