MUNICIPAL COURT

LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a July 29 preliminary hearing was set for Robert E. Burge, 49, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, charged with possession of drugs for allegedly having methamphetamine in a contact case in Salem’s Centennial Park on June 20.

A July 3 preliminary hearing was set for Greg L. Gatrell, 53, Cindy Street NE, Alliance, charged with theft for allegedly, along with co-defendants Reginald Odd and Michelle Settles, taking $1,420 in merchandise from the Salem Walmart on Feb. 24. Odd and Settles were also charged in relation to the crime.

Cynthia E. Stacey-Tirabassi, 54, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, was fined $400, had her license suspended for seven months, required 40 hours community service and sentenced to three days in a counseling program for traffic control devices and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

Michael V. Ball, 28, North Market Street, Minerva, was fined $210 and required 30 hours community service for obstructing official business, open container, failure to control and a seat belt violation.

Raymond Nalevanko, 65, state Route 170, Petersburg, was fined $100 for unsafe vehicle amended from driving on the left side of the road.

Bryant M. Allen, 23, Independence Square, Wellsville, was credited with 30 days served in jail for criminal trespassing for going inside an Independence Square apartment on March 17 after he had been served with an order not to be there three days earlier.

A July 22 pretrial was set for Nicole E. Gamble, 27, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, charged with theft for allegedly taking two bottles of Colonial Club Vodka on May 28 and May 31.

A July 28 pretrial was set for James D. Schmidt, 31, South Avenue Extension, North Lima, charged with criminal trespassing after he was allegedly found in the backseat of a Chevy Avalanche owned by Nancy Lanza on Friday.

A July 31 pretrial was set for Joshua B. Petersen, 24, Aetna Street, Salem, charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for allegedly taking a vehicle without permission, but returning it while police were still there.

An Aug. 12 pretrial was set for Dakota Gage Baker, 19, Dutchtown School Road, Rogers, cited with driving under OVI suspension.

A Sept. 4 pretrial was set for Patrick J. Dugan, 44, Struthers, cited with driving under suspension and speeding.

MUNICIPAL COURT

LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court Thursday Tristan Taylor, 21, Madison Avenue, Salineville, was fined $100, given credit for four days served and was placed on two years probation for obstructing official business. Falsification charge dismissed.

George R. House Jr., 29, North Street, Lisbon, was fined $350, sentenced 30 days jail, placed on two years probation and ordered to perform 50 hours community service for prohibitions regarding tattooing and body piercing and possession of drug abuse instrument.

David C. Earich, 27, Jefferson Street, Salineville, was fined $30 for lane violations.

Jennifer L. Oettinger, 37, South Broadway Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 for speeding.

Greg G. Gattrell, 53, Alliance, was ordered to appear at any date to answer for driving under OVI suspension charge. Own recognizance bond set at $2,500. A July 3 pretrial was set for possession of drug paraphernalia charge.

Ciera N. Rice, 25, West Pershing Street, Salem, was fined $50, given credit for one day served and placed on two years probation for persistent disorderly conduct.

Travis Rhodes, 23, South Market Street, East Palestine, was fined $100, sentenced 29 days jail with credit for one day served for obstructing official business.

Joshua Crooms, 24, Water Street, Salineville, was fined $150, given credit for 10 days served and placed on two years probation for violating a temporary protection order.

Jose Rojop Alvez, 30, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 for driving without a valid license.

Raymond Whitman, 52, Toronto, was fined $30 for speeding.

John E. Lafleme, 19, East Pershing Street, Salem, was fined $150, given credit for one days served, placed on two years probation and ordered to attend anger management classes through the Columbiana County Counseling Center for persistent disorderly conduct.

Domingo D. Diego, 22, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $130 for no driver’s license and failure to control.

Zachary Tyler Rothwell, 19, South Union Avenue, Salem, was fined $300 for reckless operation and speeding.

Zachary Silone, 22, Boardman, was fined $100 for speeding.

A July 28 pretrial was set for Samuel J. Faloba, 60, Woodville Road, Leetonia, charged with OVI first offense, speeding and seat belt.

A July 24 pretrial was set for Eric W. Snyder, 43, Gromley Road, Salem, charged with OVI first offense and OVI above .08 gram first offense.

An Aug. 5 pretrial was set for Michael F. Byers, 31, Johnson Road, Lisbon, charged with no driver’s license, speeding and seat belt. Receiving stolen property charge bound over to Columbiana County Grand Jury. According to Court documents, sheriff’s deputies allegedly found two four-wheelers on his property, one of which belonged to Noah Allison.

A July 1 pretrial was set for Stephen J. Clunk, 55, Beloit, charged with obstructing official business.

LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court Tuesday, Michael A. Brownfield, 55, High Street, New Waterford, was fined $150 for no operator’s license. Failure to display valid sticker charge dismissed.

Emily S. Noel, 20, state Route 14, East Palestine, was fined $350, sentenced three days jail, placed on two years probation and had her driver’s license suspended 180 days for OVI underage first offense, left of center and possession of marijuana.

Tamara J. Clemens, 27, Oak Street, Hanoverton, was fined $400, sentenced two days jail, placed on two years probation and ordered to perform 25 hours community service for theft and obstructing official business.

Eric Bell, 25, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, possession of instruments to ingest or inhale controlled substance charge dismissed. A July 17 pretrial was set for possession of drug abuse instruments and physical control charges.

William J. McFarland, 42, Old state Route 558, Salem, was fined $150, sentenced three days jail, placed on two years probation and ordered to attend aftercare program at the Columbiana County Counseling Center for aggravated menacing.

Brent J. Ford, 35, Hamilton Road, East Palestine, was fined $100 for unsafe vehicle.

Larry A. Reed, 37, Beaver Falls, Pa, was fined $550, sentenced three days aftercare program and placed on two years probation for OVI, no operator’s license and cracked windshield.

Shane A. Harris, 31, Martins Ferry, was fined $150, placed on two years probation and ordered to perform 40 hours community service for theft.

Andrew G. Allen, 24, Center Street, Wellsville, was fined $150 and placed on one year probation for leaving the scene. Failure to display valid plates charge dismissed.

Michael T. Bowlin, 28, Harrison Avenue, Salem, was fined $600, sentenced three days jail, three days school and placed on two years probation for OVI first offense within six years and speeding.

Mark A. Hill, 51, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $925, sentenced 10 days jail, placed on two years probation, ordered to attend classes at the Columbiana County Counseling Center and had his driver’s license suspended for OVI and failure to control.

Seth R. Holenchick, 21, West Wilson Street, Salem, was fined $705, sentenced three days jail, placed on two years probation and ordered to perform 30 hours community service for OVI first offense and speeding.

MUNICIPAL COURT

LISBON – Rusty Ray Altman, 41, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, was found guilty by an eight-member jury following a six-hour trial on Wednesday and will serve six months in jail on the theft charge.

Altman was accused of entering his neighbor’s car on May 22 and ransacking her purse. He was given credit for 14 days already served in jail and will serve the additional six months at the Columbiana County Jail.

In other municipal court business on Thursday and Friday, Kathleen E. Bereschik, 53, state Route 39, Wellsville, was fined $30 for speeding.

Damand A. Glenn, 22, state Route 45, Lisbon, was fined $300 and had his driver’s license suspended 180 days for fictitious plates, expired plates, drug paraphernalia and open container.

Bryan Jackson, 49, Alliance, was fined $500, placed on two year probation, had his driver’s license suspended 180 days and was ordered to perform 40 hours community service for hit/skip and failure to reinstate license.

Vernon Sarge Jr., 64, Youngstown, was fined $150 for possession of marijuana.

Lisa Cover, 37, Wheeling, W.Va., was fined $50 for speeding.

Thomas W. Eichler, 19, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, was fined $30 for speeding.

LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court Wednesday Daniel Tice, 26, Wells Hollow Road, Wellsville, was fined $100, placed on one year intensive probation and ordered to perform 10 hours community service for driving under suspension, fictitious plates and two plates.

William R. Beesler Jr., 33, Ashtabula, Ashtabula County, was fined $600 and sentenced 180 days jail with credit for seven days served for two counts passing bad checks, disorderly conduct and aggravated menacing.

A July 21 restitution hearing was set for Helen L. Moffett, 19, Highland Avenue, Wellsville, charged with criminal damaging.

Brandon O. Brown, 29, Honey Lane, Leetonia, was fined $700, had his license suspended for 190 days and required three days in counseling for OVI first offense, a registration violation and failure to control.

MUNICIPAL COURT

LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Bonifacio Lopez Herrera, 24, North Broadway, Salem, was fined $755, had his license suspended for six months, required 30 hours community service and sentenced to a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense, driving under suspension and improper backing. A marked lanes citation was dismissed.

Mary A. Johnson, 44, South Washington Street, East Palestine, was fined $725, had her license suspended for 180 days and required three days in counseling for OVI first offense, failure to produce a license and a plate violation.

John Paul Dominick Jr., 24, Lowellville, was fined $700, had his license suspended for 180 days and required three days in counseling for OVI first offense and speeding.

Christopher A. Webb, 34, Jones Drive, Salem, was fined $675, had his license suspended for six months, required 40 hours community service and sentenced to a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense. A lighted lights required citation was dismissed.

Jacob A. McBride, 19, North Pearl Street, Columbiana, was fined $400 and sentenced to 30 days in jail for underage consumption.

Tammy L. Johnson, 46, East High Street, Salineville, was fined $350 and sentenced to three days in jail for driving under a 12-point suspension and unauthorized plate.

Daniel W. Tunnat, 49, Woodsdale Road, Salem, was fined $250 and credited with two days served in jail for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for fighting with his son.

John Mark Oswalt, 58, 11th Street, Wellsville, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for hitting his mother in the head and striking her with a beer bottle in the head.

Wendell S. Beatty, 25, Homestead Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150, credited with one day served in jail and required 30 hours community service for criminal damaging for throwing a rock, which shattered the front window of a vehicle belonging to Rebecca Crago. A July 21 restitution hearing was set.

Thomas Cox, 52, Whinnery Road, Hanoverton, was fined $100 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Michael A. Noble, 49, Union Street, Washingtonville, was fined $100 and credited with three days served in jail for disorderly conduct for refusing to listen to a deputy’s advise and go to bed when he was intoxicated.

Charges of carrying a concealed weapon, criminal trespassing, possession of instruments to ingest/inhale a controlled substance and OVI first offense against Nicholas Brierly, 25, Mt. Orab, Ohio, were dismissed after the Elkton Federal Correction Institution refused to turn over security videos of the alleged incident. Deputies conducting a traffic stop on Oct 6 reportedly had found an eight-inch knife between the seats. Brierly had been accused of driving on prison property in areas clearly marked as authorized vehicles only.

A seat belt citation against James T. Reish, 53, East Broadway, Alliance, was dismissed.

A June 23 pretrial was set for Brent L. Rhodes, 55, Latta Road, East Palestine, cited with violating a temporary protection order for allegedly stopping his vehicle about 30 to 40 yards from Thomas Burkett’s vehicle on June 8, getting out of his vehicle, making a hand gesture like he had a gun pointed at Burkett and stating “I’m going to kill you, you’re not killing me.”

A June 23 sentencing hearing was set for William McFarland, 42, Old state Route 558, Salem, charged with aggravated menacing for becoming angry because he believed his girlfriend was cheating on him with his friend Daniel Piper, getting his loaded shotgun, threatening to kill Piper and going outside claiming he was waiting for Piper, who gave his girlfriend a ride home from work.

MUNICIPAL COURT

LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court a June 26 preliminary hearing was set for Patrick F. Brennan, 52, Hawthorn Drive, North Benton, charged with a felony OVI. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety. Brennan also has a court trial scheduled for June 26 for other charges of OVI first offense, no motorcycle endorsement and a turn signal violation.

Michael P. Souers, 26, East Pershing Street, Salem, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury on a charge of theft. Souers is accused of attempting to steal the purse of an elderly woman behind Trolls Jewelry in Salem, on June 6, when others stepped in and held him down until police could arrive.

Robert J. Ketchum Jr., 26, East Perry Street, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury on a receiving stolen property charge for allegedly driving a Chevrolet Cavalier with a stolen registration on June 8 on Bethel Drive just off state Route 45 in Perry Township.

William D. Cunning, 37, East Main Street, New Waterford, was fined $950, sentenced to three days in jail, required 30 hours community service and had his license suspended for 180 days for OVI first offense, driving under suspension and a registration violation.

Carrie A. Malone, 31, West Fifth Street, Salem, was fined $900, had her license suspended for 180 days and sentenced to 30 days in jail for drug paraphernalia, five counts of no license and two counts of a head lights violation.

Michael W. Thomas, 35, Westville, Fla., was fined $755, had his license suspended for 180 days, credited with two days served in jail and required three days in school for OVI first offense, open container, driving on a closed road and two counts of hitting a barricade on a closed road.

Lynn V. Hogan, 49, Canton, was fined $675, had her license suspended for 180 days, was sentenced to three days in counseling and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense. A failure to display a valid sticker citation was dismissed.

Steven B. Smarr, 38, East Georgia Avenue, Sebring, was fined $425, credited with three days served in jail and had his license suspended for six months for OVI first offense. Citations for possession of marijuana and failure to control were dismissed.

Justin L. Adams, 25, Clintonwood, Va., was fined $150 for disorderly conduct amended from weapons while intoxicated, due to his low blood alcohol test result following the incident. Adams had a reading of .024 on a handheld breathalizer unit after Salineville police were called for shots fired in the area of 24 North Street, Salineville on Feb. 13.

Geary A. Bates, 72, Wintersville, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Nakita N. Miller, 21, 18th Street, Wellsville, was fined $130 for speeding and a seat belt citation.

Nicholas J. Guy, 25, West Salem Street, Columbiana, was fined $100 for speeding.

Stephen Ramsey, 24, March Road Northeast, East Rochester, was fined $100 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.

LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Jared M. Coil, 26, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, was bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury for felonious assault charge. Bond remains at $250,000 cash or surety. Coil is accused of taking both a .38 and a .45 caliber handgun from Robert Marshall’s house and then going outside before firing several rounds into Marshall’s Jeep as it was being driven by Nicholas Burson on May 21.

A Sept. 15 pretrial was also set for Coil, who is additionally charged with weapons while intoxicated and assault for allegedly holding Marshall, an elderly and handicapped man, down while taking the guns.

– Natalie N. Ice, 42, Loudonville, was fined $935, had her license suspended for six months, required 30 hours community service and sentenced to three days in counseling for OVI first offense, a stop sign violation, a seat belt violation, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

– Robert J. Luketic, 42, Sprucevale Road, Rogers, signed a waiver of extradition so he can be returned to Pennsylvania where he faced charges of failure to appear on a fraud-false statement hearing.

– Christopher L. Brown, 38, Clewell Drive, Lisbon, was fined $280, had his license suspended for six months and required three days in jail for driving under OVI suspension and a seat belt violation. Citations of failure to display a valid sticker and speeding were dismissed.

Kimberly J. Lucas, 32, 16th Street, Wellsville, was fined $305 and required three days of counseling for a seat belt violation, an equipment violation and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

Leslie R. Henry, was fined $300, had his license suspended for six months, required 30 hours community service and sentenced to a three-day counseling program or three days in jail for speeding and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

Kirsten R. Eberhardt, 20, Old Lincoln Highway, East Liverpool, was fined $250, had her license suspended for six months, required 40 hours community service and sentenced to three days in jail for driving under OVI suspension.

A June 16 pretrial was set for William R. Beesler Jr., 33, West Lincoln Way, Lisbon, charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly telling Angel Lake he was going to slice her throat when she went to sleep on Monday.

A June 26 pretrial was set for Joshua D. Rutter, 20, Y and O Road, Wellsville, cited with driving under FRA suspension, speeding and a seat belt violation.

MUNICIPAL COURT

LISBON – Michael Cook Jr., 48, Roselyn Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $150, required 56 hours community service and credited with three days served in jail for improper transport of firearms in a motor vehicle. Cook, a board member with the Wellsville Schools, had a .380 Kel-Tec pistol under the driver’s seat with six rounds in a seated magazine during a traffic stop at 2:02 a.m. Jan. 1. The charge was amended from a felony to a misdemeanor. Cook was previously sentenced on a related OVI first offense citation from the same traffic stop, but sentencing was delayed on the firearms charge.

Paula J. McFarland, 35, Teegarden Road, Salem, waived her right to a preliminary hearing for a theft charge and will be bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury. McFarland is accused of pushing a shopping cart full of 81 items totaling $1,538 from the Salem Walmart on Jan. 21.

A July 3 pretrial was set for Jane M. Coghe, 29, West Clark Street, East Palestine, charged with weapons while intoxicated. She is accused of locking herself inside her home and shooting a hole into the kitchen floor on Monday. Bond was set at $1,000 own recognizance.

Ronald D. Corey, 36, Ambrose Avenue, East Liverpool, waived his right to an extradition hearing so he can be returned to West Virginia where he faces a citation for allegedly failing to appear for a probation revocation hearing.

Brandi L. Cope, 21, Holmes Wood Drive, Winona, was fined $500, credited with one day served and sentenced to an additional nine days for theft and falsification for giving deputies a false statement when they were investigating a fight with shots fired at a home on state Route 172, Lisbon, on May 21. The theft charge stemmed from cosmetic items shoplifted from Family Dollar on June 4.

Amanda L. McCarty, 23, East Fifth Street, Salem, was fined $400 and sentenced to 45 days in jail for four counts of theft for taking cash from the register at work on four different occasions. She was ordered to pay $998 in restitution to Valley View by making $100 monthly payments.

Frank J. Crone, 35, Youngstown, was fined $300 and credited with 11 days served in jail for two counts of theft for taking 18 boxes of Prilosec from the East Palestine Rite Aid and $418 in merchandise from the Rite Aid in Lisbon, both in July 2013.

Isaac L. Lemasters Jr., 44, Salineville Road West, Salineville, was fined $250, required 25 hours community service and sentenced to three days in jail for driving under a 12-point suspension.

Dustin K. VanFossen, 21, Richmond, was fined $250 for no CDL.

Maren N. Rankin, 21, state Route 154, Rogers, was fined $185 and had her license suspended for 180 days for marijuana paraphernalia and failure to display a valid sticker. A marijuana possession citation was dismissed.

Cathy L. McGeehan, 51, Mick Road, Wellsville, was fined $175 for speeding and no license amended from driving under suspension.

Mike Gargano, 42, Harrison Street, Lisbon, was fined $100 and required 42 hours community service for persistent disorderly conduct amended from assault for punching Joe Cruz in the face.

Robert Marcin III, 39, Esther Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $100 for improper backing. Citations of leaving an accident and failure to report an accident were dismissed.

Thomas A. Hurst, 60, Salem-Unity Road, Salem, pleaded no contest to theft for leaving Walmart in Salem without paying for $71 in merchandise on Sunday. A sentencing hearing was set for July 8.

Charges of failure to comply and drug paraphernalia against Elijah J. Taylor, 34, Youngstown, were dismissed with prejudice due to a defect in the charging documents.

LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court Monday, a June 16 preliminary hearing was set for Robert J. Ketchum Jr., 26, East Perry Street, Salem, charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly driving on Bethel Drive in Perry Township on Sunday in a vehicle which had been reported stolen on May 30. A pretrial was also set for June 16 for Ketchum, who is additionally cited with driving under suspension, a traffic control device violation and an expired temporary tag.

A June 16 preliminary hearing was set for Michael P. Souers, 26, East Pershing Street, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly taking a purse from an elderly woman in the alley behind Troll’s Jewelry, East State Street, Salem, on Friday. Several people were reportedly holding Souers down when Salem police arrived.

Keith E. Good, 44, Prospect Street extension, Salem, was fined $900, had his license suspended for six months, required 50 hours community service and sentenced to three days in jail for OVI first offense, traffic control devices and drug paraphernalia.

Terry A. Hughes II, 33, state Route 170, Negley, was fined $790 and required 80 hours community service for speeding, a seat belt violation, a child restraint violation, open container, a stop sign violation and two counts driving under suspension.

Jonathan Mitchell, 31, Scroggs Road, Lisbon, was fined $700, had his license suspended for 180 days, required 28 hours community service and required three days in school for OVI first offense and marked lanes.

Charles A. Sine, 44, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $400, credited with two days in jail and ordered to pay $1.49 in restitution to Sparkle in Salem for theft, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Sine was intoxicated inside the Sparkle on Feb. 22, opened and consumed a can of Goya Jalapeno Peppers and refused to comply with orders to stop.

Gay L. Kirchner, 52, Valley Road, Salem, was fined $150, required 40 hours community service and credited with one day served in jail for theft for taking bottled water on several occasions and consuming it while inside the Walmart in Salem. The total for the bottled water was nearly $51.

Steven E. Boggs, 29, Annesley Road, East Liverpool, was fined $50 and had his license suspended for six months for possession of instruments to ingest or inhale controlled substances.

Nicholas D. Torres, 35, Boardman, was fined $150 for 438.01 amended from speeding.

LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Abby L. Pierson, 20, Academy Street, Salineville, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury on a charge of receiving stolen property. Pierson allegedly had a laptop stolen from Albert Hobbs on May 25. The laptop was reportedly sitting on her front porch in a yellow plastic bag and she claimed to have received it from John Woodland, who said he needed to get rid of the laptop and she intended to pay him $150.

A Sept. 4 pretrial was set for Pierson on a falsification charge after it was learned Woodland could not have given her the laptop on May 25 because he was incarcerated in the Jefferson County jail at that time.

Travis J. Barber, 25, Taylor Avenue, New Waterford, was fined $955, had his license suspended for 180 days, required 20 hours community service and sentenced to three days in jail for OVI first offense, driving under suspension and failure to control.

Jeffray Jakob Leinbach, 26, Washington, Pa., was fined $755, had his license suspended for 180 days and sentenced to three days in counseling for OVI first offense, speeding and a seat belt violation.

Marcus R. Gutierrez, 35, Pine Hollow Road, Rogers, was fined $600, had his license suspended for six months, required 60 hours community service and credited with three days served in jail for obstructing official business, criminal damaging, possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct. Gutierrez had damaged two tires on a car by cutting them with a hunting knife on May 25 and fled from police when he was asked for identification.

Albert J. McVay, 50, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, was required 40 hours community service, credited with 14 days served in jail and sentenced to 16 additional days for theft for taking a pair of FUBU shoes and razors from Walmart in Salem on May 19.

Mark A. Conroy, 45, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $200, required 30 hours community service and credited with one day served in jail for theft for concealing a $4 bottle of Vodka in his jacket and leaving Smith Oil in Salem on April 26.

Jonathan A. Plagman, 34, Poland, was fined $150 and credited with one day served in jail for violating a civil protection order for calling Emille Shaw twice at work.

Emily A. Zehentbauer, 19, Lindesmith Road, Hanoverton, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from a stop sign violation.

Terry L. Ballard, 28, West Main Street, Salineville, was fined $150 and credited with one day served in jail for persistent disorderly conduct for damaging a car window, front porch banister and a table. A menacing charge for allegedly chasing someone with three knives was dismissed.

Jonathan David Shellenberger, 24, Pembrooke Drive, Salem, was fined $150 and credited with two days served in jail for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for striking Alicia Craig multiple times in the mouth until she lost consciousness during an argument on Feb. 28.

Robert J. Halfhill Jr., 32, New Waterford Road, New Waterford, was fined $150, required 40 hours community service and credited with nine days served in jail for theft for concealing a $29 pint of Jagermeister in the front of his pants and walking out of Gene’s Drive Through on April 17.

Brian K. Fisher, 26, Eighth Street, Wellsville, was fined $130 and required 20 hours community service for driving under suspension and a seat belt violation.

James M. Deck, 34, Canton, was fined $130 and required 20 hours community service for driving under suspension and a seat belt violation.

Steven J. Byers, 20, Lower Elkton Road, Leetonia, was credited with 12 days served in jail and fined $100 for violating a temporary protection order by attending the graduation ceremony at the Crestview Schools on May 25.

A June 9 pretrial was set for Luis Alicea, 49, Elkton Road, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly slapping his wife, Samantha Alicea in the face and threatening to kill her.

A June 10 sentencing was set for Brandi L. Cope, 21, Holmes Wood Drive, Winona, who pleaded no contest to theft for shoplifting items from Family Dollar, state Route 45, Lisbon, on her birthday Wednesday. Cope was also fined $250 for driving under suspension.

A June 12 pretrial was set for Rusty Ray Altman, 41, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, charged with two counts possession of drug abuse instruments for alleged syringes and one count each of driving under FRA suspension, failure to have a functioning brake light, a seat belt violation, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft for allegedly ransacking the purse of Christine Helman on May 22.

A June 12 pretrial was set for Mexico N. Pitts, 27, McKaig Road, Hanoverton, charged with domestic violence for allegedly threatening Kayla Baker and her mother Gladys Pitts with a shovel, then slapping Baker on the arm when he attempted to strike a chicken she was holding.

A June 17 pretrial was set for Eugene Anthony Pineda, 22, West Pershing Street, Salem, charged with OVI first offense, driving without a valid license and marked lanes.

July 1 pretrials were set for Floyd G. Gilmore Jr., 36; Richard A. Lips, 40; and Dana L. Duffied, 48, all of Center Avenue, Lisbon, and each charged with possession of criminal tools and criminal mischief. The three are accused of allegedly being co-conspirators found in the area of bolt cutters and a hacksaw, which were being used by another person to cut a lock of a Planet Aid box on May 29 in Lisbon.

A July 8 pretrial was set for George S. Gilbert, 56, East Rebecca Street, East Palestine, charged with OVI first offense and assured clear distance.

An Aug. 5 pretrial was set for Cecil B. Barker, 45, Youngstown, charged with OVI third offense.

An Aug. 7 pretrial was set for Raymond Charles Willoughby, 55, Youngstown-East Liverpool Road, Rogers, charged with OVI first offense and loud exhaust.

MUNICIPAL COURT

LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Tuesday Robert J. Smith II, 28, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, was fined $1,050, required 50 hours community service, had his license suspended for one year and sentenced to 15 days in jail for OVI second offense and driving under a 12-point suspension. A failure to control citation was dismissed.

Camellia P. Taylor, 33, Votaw Drive, Lisbon, was fined $780, sentenced to 10 days in jail, had her license suspended for one year and required 50 hours community service for OVI first offense and a seat belt violation. Citations for lane violations and failure to display a valid sticker were dismissed.

Randy J. Scott, 33, Failor Road, East Palestine, was fined $700, had his license suspended for six month, was required 20 hours community service and sentenced to three days in jail.

Michael B. Delp, 37, East Eighth Street, Salem, was fined $700, had his license suspended for 180 days, was sentenced to 10 days in jail and required 50 hours community service for OVI first offense and display of plates.

John E. Ott, 42, Darlington, Pa., was fined $700, had his license suspended for 180 days and was required three days in counseling for OVI first offense and a headlights violation.

James R. Temple, 64, East Lake Road, Lisbon, was fined $675, had his license suspended for six months and and was required three days in counseling for OVI first offense. A failure to control citation was dismissed.

Jeffrey L. Offenerger, 57, Waynesburg, was fined $375, credited with three days served in jail and had his license suspended for six months for OVI first offense.

William Tomlin, 44, North Union Avenue, Salem, was fined $300, credited with three days served and sentenced to 177 additional days in jail for two counts of assault for attacking Josie Ezell on Aug. 17, 2013 and striking Debbie Rupp when she tried to stop him.

Brandon E. Hacker, 21, Jimtown Road, East Palestine, was fined $250, credited with 10 days in jail and sentenced to 170 additional days in jail for theft for taking jewelry from the home of Bonnie Parise and giving it to another person to pawn for him.

James D. Metalik, 43, Riffle Road, New Waterford, was fined $250, credited with one day served in jail and required 40 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for punching Kimberly Spencer, his live-in girlfriend, on May 5 and pulling her by her hair.

Paul E. Bartholomae, 30, Chicago, Ill., was credited with one day in jail for criminal trespassing after he forced his way into the home of Phil Bartholomae, Bowman Road, Homeworth, and refused to leave. He was found hiding in a hayfield.

Douglas Dennison, 52, Somerset Drive, Salem, was fined $200 and had his license suspended for six month for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the Eagleton Road covered bridge.

Danielle L. Heckathorn, 27, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, was fined $150 and sentenced to two days in jail for theft for shoplifting at the Salem Walmart, pushing a cart full of $189 in merchandise toward the exit of the store without paying.

Ashley S. Dunn, 20, Kent, was fined $150, credited with one day in jail served and required 30 hours community service for underage consumption.

Neil D. Lehman, 62, Jersey Shore, Pa., was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Shane Suhy, 21, Youngstown, was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle amended from a stop sign violation.

Steven E. Boggs, 29, 14th Street, Wellsville, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for grabbing and pushing Nyasia Buzzard down by the neck, slapping her in the face and throwing bricks at her vehicle on Jan. 25.

Douglas E. Shaffer, 41, Metz Road, Columbiana, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from a stop sign citation.

Stephen Louis Henderson, 47, Franklin, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from a turn signal violation.

Katelin Hurst, 22, Raley Road, New Waterford, was fined $100 and credited with one days served in jail for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for punching Dina Hurst, her step-mother in the face on Feb. 26.

Ronnie A. Clemens, 53, McCann Road, Kensington, was fined $100, credited with one day served in jail and required 10 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for blackening the eyes of Kim Clemens in February.

Samantha J. Susak, 28, Cleveland, was fined $50 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Charges of assault and criminal damaging were dismissed against David L. Todd, 42, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, after the assistant prosecutor filed a motion due to an inability to locate a witness. Todd was accused of hitting Homer Carnes with broken glass after he broke a window.

A charge of assault against John P. Dunlap Jr., 30, Ninth Street, Wellsville, was dismissed due to federal sentencing of 110 months in an unrelated case for convictions of maintaining a drug involved premises and committing a felony while in possession of a firearm and ammunition. The assault charge had alleged Dunlap choked Kaylynn Kenner until she passed out, slammed her head off the wall and kicked her on Aug. 11, 2013.

A violation of a temporary protection order citation against Steven A. Althiser, 34, Main Street, Wellsville, was dismissed on a motion of the assistant prosecutor. He had been accused of going to the home of Rebecca Lavalley on May 20.

A driving under suspension citation was dismissed against Lance Roberts, 42, North Lima, after it was learned he had valid insurance at all times.

A June 9 pretrial was set for Justin E. Houle, 40, Grant Street, New Waterford, charged with criminal damaging for allegedly taking the cell phone of Nicole L. Schnarrenberger on May 17, threatening to break it if she refused to tell him what she did the night before and then breaking the phone by throwing it.

A June 10 court trial was set for Maren N. Rankin, 21, state Route 154, Rogers, cited with possession of drug abuse instruments, possession of marijuana and failure to display a valid sticker.

A July 1 pretrial was set for Micah T. Johnson, 22, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, cited with a stop sign violation.

A July 3 pretrial was set for Cheyanne M. Steed, 18, West Pershing Street, salem, charged with theft for allegedly placing two bags of balloons and a table cloth in her handbag and attempting to leave Family Dollar, West State Street, Salem, without paying on May 30.

A July 3 pretrial was set for Kylie R. Kuhns, 19, Hillcrest Circle, East Palestine, cited with failure to control and drug paraphernalia for a glass hookah and two glass pipes with residue allegedly found in her vehicle following a rollover crash on May 19.

A July 7 pretrial was set for Richard D. Hitt III, 19, Jackson, Mich., cited with speeding.

A July 10 pretrial was set for Jonathan T. Meissner, 21, Hawley Avenue, Salem, cited with OVI first offense and a traffic control device violation.

A July 10 pretrial was set for Patrick F. Reynolds Jr., 32, Conneaut, cited with use of an unauthorized plate and driving under suspension.

Carlson, 24, Salem Grange Road, Salem, charged with weapons while intoxicated, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct for allegedly carrying an AK-47 with a dual magazine containing 28 rounds while running through a yard in Perry Township on May 6 while intoxicated.

MUNICIPAL COURT

LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Monday, Joseph O. Altenburg, 27, Youngstown, was bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury on a charge of disrupting public services for allegedly damaging the a window in a highway patrol vehicle so it will no longer close properly. A Sept. 1 pretrial was set for Altenburg cited with resisting arrest and obstructing official business. Altenburg is accused of telling deputies a girl, who fell into a fire pit on May 26 at a address on state Route 14 in Unity Township and taken to a home on state Route 165 by another child was not there.

Cheyenne L. Hoops, 18, Seacrist Road, Salem, was fined $400 for underage consumption and ordered to participate in the STEP program.

Steven J. McVay, 33, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, was fined $300, sentenced to 15 days in jail and required 50 hours community service for driving under suspension and unauthorized plate.

Albert J. McVay, 50, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, was fined $250, credited with 14 days served in jail and sentenced to an additional 166 days in jail for theft for shoplifting shoes and two razors on May 19.

Aaron M. Carter, 28, Warren, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Amy Scott, 41, Richmond, was fined $30 for speeding and a driving under suspension citation was dismissed due to an error.

A June 6 pretrial was set for Brian D. Digman, 23, last known address West Wilson Street, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly stealing about $1,000 in Speedway Rewards money while employed there in Salem on May 12, May 14 and May 18.
