-- A woman reported suspicious activity at 12:26 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of South Lincoln Avenue where she said a shopping cart may have been stolen and left there. Officers spoke to people who said they left the cart there and were told it was ok as long as they returned it. Store employees confirmed the information was correct and the shopping cart was returned.
-- A man from East Fourth Street came to speak with officers at 8:36 a.m. Tuesday about a problem he was having with a business in the city. He was told his options.
-- A man from Franklin Avenue reported at 7:58 a.m. Tuesday that he was having issues with people arguing in his household and wanted to know if he could have someone removed. He was told the eviction process to have someone legally removed.
-- A resident in the 800 block of East Third Street reported at 10:36 p.m. Monday that a male was looking into his kitchen window. No one was found.
-- A caller at 9:46 p.m. Monday reported a female walked into a vacant apartment in the 200 block of Vine and was not permitted on the property. She could not be found after a search.
-- Police found a vehicle with lights on parked in the street in the 200 block of South Union Avenue at 9:28 p.m. Monday and notified the owner.
-- An illegally parked vehicle on North Union near Cleveland was moved after police contacted the owner at 9:26 p.m. Monday.
-- City police assisted Perry Township police at 9:19 p.m. Monday with a traffic stop on South Lincoln at Aetna.
-- Officers at 7:39 p.m. Monday saw a vehicle parked with the left side to the curb on Lexington and had the vehicle moved.
-- Jarrod Westover, 19, of 674 E. Sixth St., was taken into custody on a warrant for a probation hearing after being spotted by police in the area of West Pershing and South Howard Monday night. He was turned over to a Columbiana County sheriff's deputy.
-- A dispute was reported at 6:45 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Jennings Avenue. Police found it was a civil matter and told all parties their options.
-- Police were called at 6:41 p.m. Monday to the 200 block of East Fourth Street where a woman reported the yard to the apartment complex had trash from other tenants and she was upset about conditions. She was told to contact her landlord.
-- A reckless operator on a motorcycle was reported at 6:17 p.m. Monday in the 2200 block of Southeast Boulevard, but was not found.
-- Officers on patrol at Washington and Maple at 5:42 p.m. Monday saw a juvenile attempting to use tobacco products and made contact, making the juvenile dispose of the products and advising the juvenile about the laws regarding juveniles using tobacco products.
-- K-9 Simon was requested at 5:27 p.m. Monday on Fairfield School Road at state Route 517 and indicated to the presence of a narcotic odor. Contraband was recovered.
-- A business owner came to the station at 3:41 p.m. Monday to report an incident of harassment at his place of business in the 600 block of East State Street. The unknown person was taking pictures of his business and later he received a call from the person. He said the male made some false accusations about him and he wanted it documented.
-- A man from North Ellsworth Avenue reported the possible theft of his 45-day temporary plate at 3:39 p.m. Monday, saying part of the plate was missing, with the main portion still bolted on. He also said there were several new key marks that weren't there earlier.
-- A woman at 3:37 p.m. Monday said a dog came out of its yard without being on a leash and tried attacking her. Due to conflicting stories and no video footage, an investigation is pending.
-- Police responded at 2:54 p.m. Monday to East Third and Rose for a parking complaint involving a vehicle in a no parking zone. The vehicle was moved.
-- An officer at 12:30 p.m. Monday saw a vehicle run a red light on West State and Benton Road and initiated a traffic stop, finding the driver was someone the police have been dealing with lately for several driving and parking complaints. The person was given a warning and advised of a retest for driver's license. Adult protective services was contacted and advised of the ongoing problems.
-- Police responded at 8:54 a.m. Monday to the 700 block of North Lincoln Avenue for a neighbor dispute over parking. Since it's a shared driveway, the caller was told to bring it up with the landlord. At 9:52 a.m., police were called back to the residence when a woman said the upstairs tenant began yelling at her after police left. She was told her options.
-- Police responded with fire department first responders and EMT to Jefferson Avenue for a medical call at 4:03 p.m. Sunday.
-- A resident in the 600 block of East Perry Street reported loud music at 1:56 p.m. Sunday. Officers located the source of the music and the male was more than willing to turn the music off. He was warned to keep the music down.
Lisbon
-- Police were called to the Lisbon Car Wash at 11:30 a.m. Monday about a woman motorist whose vehicle was stuck on the concrete wall. The driver told police she thought she could pull straight out of the car wash onto North Market Street and did not realize the wall was there. Baker Towing was called to get her Chevrolet Trax off the wall.
Salem Township
-- A Fox Den Drive resident reported on Monday Columbia Gas came to his home unannounced and dug up his front yard, did not properly repair it and was partially blocking the roadway with all their equipment. Police told the man, Columbia Gas did not need permission to access the utilities and he should call them to see if they will be back to repair the yard.
-- A state Route 45 resident reported at 4:38 p.m. Monday a developer off of Fox Den Drive is illegally burning during a no burn ban. Police told the developer to extinguish the fire and explained he would need to get a permit to burn from the EPA.
