LISBON -- In county Municipal Court, a June 22 pretrial was set for Tasha E. Higgins, 35, state Route 518, Lisbon, charged with four counts of endangering children, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing justice, criminal trespassing, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and no headlights. Higgins allegedly attempted to the flee the police, reaching speeds of 90 mph. The officer also said they recovered a Crown Royal Sachell containing three glass bowls used for smoking meth.
A June 18 pretrial was set for Raymond L. Edwards, 36, state Route 518, Lisbon, charged with contributing to the unruliness of a child, four counts of endangering children, four counts of criminal damaging, failure to comply, obstructing justice, felonious assault and failure to comply with orders or signals of a police officer. Edwards was allegedly under arrest for an active warrant but fled the scene after a traffic stop, nearly hitting the officer at his car.
A July 30 pretrial was set for Scott W. Knight, 22, East Third Street, Salem, charged with aggravated menacing, obstructing official business and menacing. Knight allegedly grabbed a steak knife and threatened to kill his brother.
Darrin Harsh Sr., 54, Southeast Boulevard, Salem, was fined $725, sentenced to 30 days in jail, had his license suspended for one year and ordered 30 hours of community service for OVI first offense, operating while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and marked lanes.
Kevin A. Silva II, 33, Continental Drive, Salem, was fined $675, sentenced 90 days in jail, had his license suspended for three years and ordered 60 hours of community service for OVI first offense and OVI breath .17+ first offense.
Donald C. Shogren, 60, state Route 45, Leetonia, was fined $735, sentenced to 90 days in jail, had his license suspended for two years and ordered 40 hours of community service for OVI, driving left of center and failure to dim headlights.
A June 18 pretrial was set for Steven R. Barnes, 38, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence.
An Aug. 17 pretrial was set for Joseph S. Clark, 39, Verna, PA, charged with failure to comply and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
Carl A. Williamson, 37, U.S. Route 30, Minerva, was fined $400, sentenced to 30 days in jail, had his license suspended for 180 days and ordered 60 hours of community service for reckless operation and failure to control.
A June 15 pretrial was set for Clinton M. Hodge, 30, Allen Avenue, Columbiana, charged with OVI first offense, DUS, use of unauthorized plates, speeding and traffic control devices. A June 15 preliminary hearing was also set for Hodge, charged with failure to comply with orders of the police.
Rebecca L. Bollinger, 29, East Adams Street, East Palestine, was fined $200 for permitting a dog to run at large.
Joey J. Morris Jr. 35, Ohio Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 for disorderly conduct.
A June 18 pretrial was set for Frank C. Beck, 49, West Street, East Palestine, charged with assault.
Eli Shetler, 20, state Route 7, New Waterford, was fined $150, sentenced to 30 days in jail and ordered 20 hours of community service for aggravated menacing.
