North Lima man hurt in SR 165 crash

NORTH LIMA — A 20-year-old North Lima man was critically injured after being ejected from the vehicle he was driving during a rollover crash at 2:21 a.m. Saturday.

According to the Canfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Brennan P. Toy was driving a 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue eastbound on state Route 165 near milepost 18, when he drove off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, a culvert and overturned the vehicle several times. Toy was ejected from the vehicle and was transported to Mercy Health in Youngstown by Beaver Township EMS.

Troopers believe speed and alcohol to be a contributing factor to the crash. Toy reportedly was not wearing a seat belt either. The crash remains under investigation.

The Beaver Township Police Department, Fire Department and EMS assisted at the crash.
