-- Police responded at 2:05 a.m. Friday to the 400 block of Aetna Street to check on fire department medics and KLG at a medical. Nothing was needed.
-- An alarm was reported at 2:08 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of South Broadway, but the building was secure.
-- Police, fire department medics and EMT ambulance responded at 12:12 a.m. Friday to Continental and Bentley Drive for a well-being check on a man sitting on the curb due to a possible medical emergency. After locating him, police were told he walked away from a local nursing home earlier in the day for alcohol. Due to his level of intoxication, he was taken to Salem Regional Medical Center by EMT.
-- A caller just after midnight early Friday asked police to do a well-being check on East Fifth Street after hearing a woman yell. Everything was quiet when police arrived.
-- A barking dog was reported at 11:55 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of East Third Street. Officers attempted contact due to the dog continuously barking in the back yard, causing a disturbance, but nobody was home. Dispatch contacted a female who said she would call the owner about the complaint.
-- An alarm was reported at 10:55 p.m. Thursday in the 2300 block of East State Street. All doors appeared secure.
-- A man reported at 9:30 p.m. Thursday that his video game system and two games were stolen from the 100 block of Brooklyn Avenue. The alleged suspect sent threatening text messages. The incident is under investigation with possible charges.
-- A business alarm was reported at 9:20 p.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of East State Street. Officers located two males inside the building doing tile work and learned they were supposed to be there.
-- A caller at 8:17 p.m. Thursday reported a possible drug deal occurring near Dunkin' Donuts in the 2800 block of East State Street. The vehicle was found and a consent to search was given by the owner. No contraband was found.
-- Police were called at 7:39 p.m. Thursday to the area of East Pershing Street and Butcher Road for a report of two juveniles who appeared to be assembling a firearm in a field. The people in question told police they recently bought an air rifle from Walmart and were on their way back home. Police confirmed the rifle was being transported legally.
-- A caller at 7:17 p.m. Thursday asked for a well-being check for a distraught female who was standing outside on East Pershing Street threatening to harm herself. Police determined the female wasn't thinking of harming herself and was just intoxicated. Officers were able to calm her down and get her inside her residence where her son was going to care for her.
-- A domestic was reported at 6:33 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Prospect Street. A woman and her boyfriend both said he wouldn't let her inside the residence so she pushed him until he moved out of the way. She took some of her belongings and left and was coming back the next day to get the rest of her stuff to move out.
-- A reckless operator on a motorcycle was reported at 3:59 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of North Lundy Avenue. Officers followed the motorcycle but saw no violations.
-- Police were notified at 2:43 p.m. Thursday about a woman possibly sexually assaulted at a facility in Mahoning County a year ago. The caller was advised to contact the police jurisdiction where the incident occurred.
-- A man from Bentley Drive reported at 2:03 p.m. Thursday that he ordered a $3,200 graphics card from eBay and when the package was delivered, the product was missing. He said his wife was home and saw the package right away, but the box was dented and had a hole in the side. The box appeared to be previously cut on top and retaped. When he opened the box, the product box was inside the shipping box, but there was no product inside. He said the item must have been stolen during shipping or the company he purchased from wasn't reputable. He already contacted eBay and was told to file a police report.
