LISBON –A Sep. 30 pretrial was set in Columbiana County Municipal Court for Kayla R. Baker, 28, Taylor Road, Negley, charged with obstructing official business. Baker allegedly shut and locked the door when police attempted to serve an arrest warrant to Jonathan A. Post, Lisbon.

A Sep. 27 pretrial was set for Wesley D. Clark, 31, Cleveland Street, Salem, charged with obstructing justice. On Jan. 19, Clark allegedly lied to police by stating he did not know the whereabouts of a woman they were serving with an arrest warrant. The woman was found hiding behind his couch within his eyesight.

An Aug. 16 pretrial was set for Mia N. Sheets, 31, Carbon Hill Road, East Palestine, charged with theft. On April 21, Sheets allegedly stole three sandwiches from Rogers Food and Fuel on Depot Street in Rogers.

A Sep. 9 sentencing hearing was set for Thomas A. Vescera, 60, Hermitage, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. Vescera traveled to East Palestine on July 29 after arranging a meeting for sexual activity in exchange for money in answer to an ad posted online by a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent.

A Sep. 20 pretrial was set for Michael A. Hamilton, 32, Bank Street, Salem, charged with menacing. On Thursday, Hamilton allegedly left a threatening voicemail to an employee of the counseling center.

A Sep. 9 review hearing was set for Charles P. McQuillan, 61, Woodland Avenue, Columbiana, charged with domestic violence for threatening to kill his brother.

An Aug. 16 preliminary hearing was set for Michael G. Miller, 26, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, charged with domestic violence. On Thursday, Miller allegedly slapped his pregnant wife and smacked her head against the ground twice.

A Sep. 28 pretrial was set for Christian M. Ruble, Lake Front Drive, Beloit, charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly walking and laying in the roadway of state Route 62 while intoxicated on Friday.

Craig A. Coffman, 39, East Fourth Street, Salem, was sentenced to eight days in jail and fined $250 after being found guilty of obstructing justice during his Aug. 9 pretrial.

A Sep. 30 pretrial was set for Justin F. Lake, 24, Woodland Avenue, Salem, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Lake was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana along with a rolled dollar bill with white residue inside during a traffic stop on Saturday.

An Aug. 16 preliminary hearing was set for Benjamin Jay Loveridge, 51, West Middlesex, Pa., charged with compelling prostitution, attempt to commit an offense, and possessing criminal tools. Loveridge allegedly arranged a meeting for sexual activity in exchange for money when he replied to an ad posted online by a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent.

An Aug. 16 pretrial was set for Michael J. Spencer, 33, state Route 45, Lisbon, charged with possession of drug abuse instrument, tampering with evidence and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Spencer was allegedly found in possession of hypodermic syringes and a digital scale with suspected drug residue on Friday when sheriff deputies responded to his motel room on the report of an unresponsive man who was reportedly overdosing. Several syringes were also allegedly found in the toilet in an attempt to hide evidence.

A Sep. 27 pretrial was set for Jason a. Heiss, 36, Youngstown, charged with receiving stolen property. On Oct. 29, Heiss allegedly was found in possession of a HILTI hammer drill that was reported stolen.

A Sep. 27 pretrial was set for Katie Alice Thomas, 30, Strasburg, charged with possession of a drug abuse instrument. Thomas was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and hypodermic needs during a traffic stop on July 23.
