-- Todd Dean, 42, Aetna Street, was taken into custody at McDonald's on East State Street at 9:56 p.m. Monday on a warrant for dangerous drugs and turned over to a Columbiana County sheriff's deputy. Police had received an anonymous tip about Dean working there.
-- A resident in the 800 block of Newgarden Avenue reported a burglary in progress at 8:58 p.m. Monday after hearing movement on the roof. Officers located fallen icicles that appeared to have struck a metal air vent. Police found no sign of suspicious activity.
-- Police were called at 8:22 p.m. Monday to the area of Butcher and Cunningham roads for a report of a female near the intersection wrapped in a blanket. She could not be found.
-- A woman reported at 5:25 p.m. Monday that someone took her purse containing multiple medications and credit cards while she was at the Foundry in the 500 block of South Broadway on Saturday.
-- A spokesman for Antone's Restaurant reported at 3:36 p.m. Monday that he found the front dining room door open and some items out of place. Officers found no sign of forced entry. He was told to call if anything is determined missing or out of the ordinary.
-- A hit/skip was reported at 3:31 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of East Third Street where a woman said she was legally parked in a red Jeep SUV with her two children in the vehicle. She said a westbound black Dodge Ram went by and struck her driver side mirror, breaking it, then continued without stopping.
-- Officers responded at 12:49 p.m. Monday to Game Stop in the 2900 block of East State Street for a parking complaint about a gray van parked parallel across four spots with a man pacing around inside a vacant property near the van. Officers spoke with the man who said he parked that way so his prospect could find him in the plaza easier. He was told to move the vehicle.
-- A man from the 200 block of Woodland Avenue reported at 11:18 a.m. Monday that his truck was egged over the weekend. A woman in the 600 block of West Pershing Street also called Monday morning to report someone egged the front door of her house over the weekend.
-- Police at 9:26 a.m. Monday responded to a residential alarm on Fairview Avenue. The exterior was secure and the homeowner responded and police also checked the interior.
-- Police were asked at 9:07 a.m. Monday to check the well-being of a male in the 500 block of Walnut Street after a home health aide was unable to make contact. Officers knocked on the door and the person answered. The aide was able to check his vitals and contact an ambulance if necessary, which she later did.
COLUMBIANA
-- A minor crash occurred in the parking lot of Columbiana Cadillac Buick Chevrolet Monday afternoon.
-- Tim L. Miller of Youngstown was arrested during a traffic stop at 5:08 p.m. Monday for an active warrant through the United States Marshall Service.
-- Officers helped a North Main Street resident retrieve a phone leased under his name Monday evening.
