LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a pretrial was set Aug. 11 for Mahmood Mohammed, 32, Houston, Texas, also Troy, Mich., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly coming to East Palestine on July 6 with money and his cell phone after arranging to have sexual acts with an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent posing as a female in exchange for $100.
A pretrial was set Sept. 15 for Timothy Battison, 34, Cortland, charged with possessing criminal tools, engaging in prostitution and possession of drugs for allegedly coming to East Palestine on June 10 with money, his cell phone and a marijuana bowl after arranging to have sexual acts with an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent posing as a female in exchange for $100.
A pretrial was set Sept. 6 for Mark Hudik, 37, Painesville, charged with engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly coming to Salem on July 7 after arranging to have sexual acts with an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent posing as a female in exchange for $100. He allegedly had the cell phone and a small glass pipe in the vehicle.
A charge of obstructing official business against Kelly M. Reed, 32, Sunset Drive, Wellsville, was dismissed. Reed had been accused of not answering the door June 15 when deputies were looking for man at her residence who was wanted for an assault charge.
Timothy Pratt, 69, Akron was fined $750 for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools and ordered to forfeit $160 to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. He was also ordered to perform 40 hours of community service. Pratt had arranged to meet an undercover MVHTTF agent on April 5 in Salem for sexual conduct in exchange for $160.
A sentencing was set July 21 for Clint Gaskill, 44, East Martin Street, East Palestine, after he pleaded no contest to violating a temporary protection order on July 7 in Columbiana when a protected person was in a vehicle with him during a traffic stop.
A pretrial was set July 18 for Michael Souers, 34, East Fourth Street, Salem, charged with disorderly conduct-intoxication for allegedly laying in the road and yelling and admitted to being voluntarily intoxicated on July 2 in Salem.
A pretrial was set July 21 for Christopher Wallace, 37, West Main Street, East Palestine, charged with criminal damaging for allegedly head butting a glass window at the Columbiana County jail on May 2, causing significant damage and requiring $372 in repairs.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Timothy Lodge, 33, West Pershing Street, Salem, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, third offense, two counts of driving under suspension, furnishing false information and two counts of speeding.
Timothy Thomas, 55, Middle Street, Homeworth, was fined $315 for no license, speeding, no seat belt and possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on June 22 in Knox Township.
Michael Conzett, 25, Ambrose Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $185 for driving under suspension and speeding.
A pretrial was set Sept. 1 for Dadi Jarkami, 46, Pataskala, charged with speeding.
