New Waterford

-- Officers responded to the 46000 block of state Route 46 at 7:08 p.m. Sept. 21 in reference to a dog that had been tied outside all day without food or water. Officers checked on the animal and found everything to be okay.

Salem

-- Two juveniles were charged with a delinquency offense after an officer observed them fighting in the student section of Sebo Stadium during the varsity football game 9:35 p.m. Friday. They were transported to the police station and released to their parents.

-- Geoffrey J. Forney, 28, Salem, was cited for expired plates following a traffic stop at West State Street and Georgetown Road at 7:18 p.m. Friday.

-- Officers responded to the 300 block of North Broadway Avenue at 4:03 p.m. Friday in reference to a domestic dispute and found it to be a verbal argument regarding family issues.

-- An officer took a report of a theft via the internet at 3:37 p.m. Friday in which the complainant said someone solicited a sum of money for a rental they did not have control over.

-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Buckeye Avenue at 2 p.m. Friday in reference to a reported threat. Officers spoke with employees of the location who said everything was fine.

-- Officers responded to the 200 block of West Wilson Street at 1:30 p.m. Friday in reference to suspicious activity and found someone attempting to help a friend enter her home.

-- Officers responded to the 300 block of West Wilson Street at 12:44 p.m. Friday in reference to a burned section of fence. The complainant, who owns the fence, said the damage occurred Sept. 21.

-- An Adams Avenue resident reported at 11:40 a.m. Friday an account had been attempted to be opened at a bank with which they are not associated. The resident said they were not at a loss of money, but wanted the issue documented.

-- A Newgarden Avenue resident reported at 11:36 a.m. Friday a harassment issue. The resident was advised of actions that could be taken on the matter.

-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East Fifth Street at 5:51 a.m. Friday in reference to a suspicious vehicle occupied by multiple people that had pulled up to a residence at which they did not reside and the occupants went onto the property. Officers were unable to find the people in question.

--Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of West Pershing Street at 5:41 a.m. Monday for a report of a dog barking excessively. Officers stopped and listened for several minutes during which time the dog could be heard barking persistently. Officers made contact with the owner and advised them of the complaint, and they took the dog inside.

--Officers spoke to a woman at the policed department at 7:34 p.m. Sunday for a report of a runaway juvenile. The woman said her daughter did not come home Friday night and she needed to report her missing. The woman was able to give officers an address she might be at in Alliance. Officers contacted the Alliance Police Department and requested they check the residence. Alliance police advised they had the juvenile and officers advised the woman to go pick her up.

Perry Township

--Officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Benton Road at 7:10 p.m. Saturday for a civil complaint. Officers advised the caller the matter was a civil issue and they needed to try and work something out with the other party, or take the other party to small claims court.

--Officers responded to the area of U.S. Route 62, and West State Street at 10:44 p.m. Friday for a report of a reckless driver. Officers checked the area and were later advised they had crossed into Goshen Township. Goshen police were notified.

--Officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of West Pigeon Road at 11:40 a.m. Friday for a welfare check. Officers were unable to contact the resident.

--Officers responded to the 1200 block of Georgetown Road at 10:50 a.m. Friday for a report of suspicious activity. Officers spoke with the caller and advised an extra watch would be conducted in the area.

--Officers responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Garfield Road at 9:26 p.m. Wednesday for a report of juveniles banging on windows at the residence. The caller advised that while she was sitting in her residence several juveniles began banging on her windows. Officers checked the area but did not locate any juveniles. Officers also advised the caller to get some additional lighting to illuminate the areas as that might deter the juveniles, and that an extra patrol would be conducted.

--Officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday for a harassment/threats report. The caller advised her 15-year-old son was receiving threatening messages on Snap Chat, and that her son doesn't know who the man is, but her son has been talking with him for a while. Officers explained the issues of talking to strangers on the internet. The person was reported to Snap Chat and the number blocked.

--Officers responded to the 1200 block of Goshen Road at 7:28 p.m. Sept. 20 for a wellness check on a person walking in the roadway just outside the Township. The man was located and he was advised to walk on the shoulder of the roadway.
