-- Officers responded to the area of South Lincoln Avenue and Snyder Road at 9:59 p.m. Sunday for a report of an intoxicated driver possibly entering the city. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
-- Officers on patrol in the 100 block of West State Street at 9:25 p.m. Sunday conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple traffics violations. The driver, Arys Pettis, 26, was found to have a suspended license, and the passenger, Breontez Young, 29, was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Columbiana County. An open container and contraband were also recovered from the vehicle and destroyed during the stop. Pettis was cited for driving under suspension and a licensed driver responded to collect the vehicle, and Young was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail by officers as no deputies were available.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of East Sixth Street at 8:09 p.m. Sunday for a report of a barking dog. Officers sat in the area for a time but did not hear any barking.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 6:27 p.m. Sunday for a wellness check on two juveniles. The woman said that she saw a female juvenile smack a male juvenile and provided officers with a license plate. Officers responded to the residence; however, nobody was home at the time.
-- Officers responded to a business in the 200 block of West State Street at 5:12 p.m. Sunday for a reported theft. While en route dispatch advised the person in question had left the store without paying and was walking west and officers were also provided a description of the person by the caller. Officers located a man matching the description in the 400 block of West State Street who was holding a container of ice cream and spoke with him. Officers asked the man for identification and he said he didn't have any. The man then provided officers with his name and date of birth. It was determined the man gave officers a false name and another officer arrived on scene and confirmed his real name. Officers placed the man, John Castelucci, 43, for theft and obstruction, and transported him to the police department for processing before being transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of Hawley Avenue at 4:29 p.m. Sunday for a 911 hang-up call. Officers made contact with the residents, and all involved advised they did not need police or medical attention.
-- Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 1:08 a.m. Sunday who advised that he was in danger. The man, who was intoxicated advised that he had gotten into a verbal altercation with multiple people in 500 block of South Broadway Avenue. The man also advised that he wanted to go to the hospital to get checked out. Officers requested that the fire department and an ambulance respond, and they transported the man to the hospital upon their arrival.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of Homewood Avenue at 10:21 p.m. Saturday for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers made contact with the two women in the vehicle and advised them of the complaint, and they left the area.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of East sixth Street at 10:13 p.m. Saturday for a speak with officer report. The caller provided information in regards to a vandalism that occurred at Waterworth Memorial Park. Information was collected and will be passed on.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 6:13 p.m. Saturday for a suspicious vehicle complaint. The caller advised that the vehicle had been on the property since earlier in the day, and that it had been causing issues with the parking to the business. Officers advised that because it was on private property, she could have it towed if she wished. Officers were unable to contact the owner of the vehicle.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East State Street at 4:26 p.m. Saturday for a report of a reckless operator. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a vehicle matching the given description.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Howard Avenue at 3:29 p.m. Saturday for a reported dispute. Officers located the involved parties who denied being in a dispute, but did say they had been talking loudly.
-- Officers spoke with a resident in the 1900 block of East Eleventh Street at 3:15 p.m. Saturday for a report of illegally parked cars. He advised that he would have then moved.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of East Fourth Street at 1:59 p.m. Saturday for a reported dog at large. Officers checked the area, but the dog was not found.
-- Joseph Nesselrode, 52, East Liverpool, was cited for a red-light violation and driving a vehicle with no license after his northbound vehicle on Southeast Boulevard failed to stop at a red light and struck a vehicle driven east on East Pershing Street by Diane Hoschar, 75, Boardman at 1:32 p.m. Saturday.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of East Fourth Street at 8:43 a.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic dispute and found it to be a verbal argument.
-- Deanna Denise Moschella, 43, Youngstown, was charged with theft after officers responded to at 2800 block East State Street business at 10:23 p.m. where she admitted to stealing the work boots she was wearing along with a bottle of perfume in her pocket.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 9:17 p.m. Friday in reference to someone pointing a green laser pointer into traffic. Officers spoke with the resident in the area who said her children had a green laser pointer. Officers spoke with the juveniles who admitted to being outside playing with the laser pointer.
-- An officer responded to the Fun Factory on East Pershing Street at 8:54 p.m. Friday after an off duty officer working security detail found a 14-year-old juvenile in the restroom in need of an ambulance after admitting to smoking marijuana and drinking wine at home before going to the Fun Factory. Medical personnel and the juvenile's grandfather, who has guardianship, responded. The grandfather did not want the juvenile transported to the hospital. The juvenile was charged with delinquency and released to the grandfather. The matter was forwarded to the juvenile officer for follow up.
-- Officers responded to the 2700 block of East State Street at 6:34 p.m. Friday in reference to a woman running in the middle of the roadway and yelling. The woman in question was found inside a business and was advised of the complaint.
-- Officers assisted an agent with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with an alleged sex offense in the 100 block of West State Street at 5:57 p.m. Friday. Officers seized $60 from the man involved in the investigation.
-- Officers responded to the 1700 block of East State Street at 5:54 p.m. Friday in reference to an individual who had caused a disturbance inside the store and then locked themselves in the restroom. Officers spoke with the individual and advised her to leave the property.
