LISBON -- William Beeson, 24, state Route 9, Salem, was served Wednesday with a secret indictment recently issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury for possession of a deadly weapon while under detention, a fifth-degree felony.
The indictment said that while under detention at a detention facility, Beeson allegedly possessed a deadly weapon described as a piece of bent metal with sharp corners and a handle on Sept. 20, 2022. The detention facility was identified by the sheriff's office as the county jail.
William Earl Barnes, 31, last known address Avondale Street, East Liverpool, was served Tuesday with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury in 2020 for failure to verify address and failure to provide notice of change of address, both third-degree felonies. As a convicted sex offender, Barnes is required to report his address to the sheriff's office of the county where he resides and failed to do that on Nov. 27, 2018 and Dec. 14, 2019, the indictment alleged.
