LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, preliminary/pretrial hearings were set March 13 for John Kenneth Douglas, 28, Mulberry Street, East Liverpool, and Linsley Nicole Carrol, 21, Mulberry St., East Liverpool, both charged with second-degree felony burglary and misdemeanor assault for allegedly kicking in the back door of a residence on Mulberry Street, East Liverpool after an argument about a pizza delivered on March 3. When the victim went upstairs to call police, Douglas allegedly chased her, threw her phone and shoved a mattress into her, then Carrol allegedly struck the victim in the face with her fist.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set March 13 for Skyler Stinard, 22, Hazel Street, Leetonia, charged with fifth-degree felonies of aggravated menacing and obstructing official business and misdemeanors of violating a protection order, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety and she was ordered to have no contact with the victim. The charges stem from an alleged incident March 3 in Salem when police were called to Fernengels for a person violating a protection order. The victim said a person she has an active protection order against approached her in the bar, grabbed her wrists and said something to her, then went to the Foundry where police found Stinard, who said she made a mistake violating the protection order. When placed under arrest, she allegedly became combative with officers and made threats, then she began fighting and pulling away from officers when removed from the cruiser at the station and again when placed back inside the cruiser where she almost kicked an officer and allegedly made multiple threats while en route to the jail.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set March 13 for Bristen Zachery Lavant, 27, Smithfield Street, East Liverpool, charged with third-degree felony tampering with evidence and misdemeanor resisting arrest, with bond set at $15,000 cash or surety. A police affidavit said Lavant was allegedly stopped for acting suspicious running and hiding in residents’ yards on First Avenue, East Liverpool on March 5, then tried to hide a clear bag of white powder down his pants and then threw it on the ground. He allegedly pulled away and wouldn’t place his hands behind his back and fled on foot before being taken into custody.
A preliminary hearing was set March 13 for Asa Dayne Walker, 20, Chester, W.Va., charged with third-degree felony tampering with evidence. A police affidavit said Walker was allegedly stopped for acting suspicious running and hiding in residents’ yards on First Avenue, East Liverpool on March 5, and then stepped on a bag of white substance dropped by another person and threw it toward a house.
A preliminary hearing was set March 13 for Larry Edward Smith, 38, New Castle, Pa., charged with third-degree felony compelling prostitution, fourth-degree felony attempted and fifth-degree felony possessing criminal tools for allegedly answering an undercover ad posted on a known prostitution website of an adult female and 15-year-old female and soliciting sexual conduct with the juvenile in exchange for $140, arriving in East Palestine on March 4 for the meeting.
A case against Larry Ellis Jr., 37, state Route 45, Lisbon, was bound over to the county grand jury on a third-degree felony domestic violence charge for allegedly grabbing a woman by the hair, shoving her against the wall and onto the bed and threatening her on Feb. 27 in Lisbon.
A case against Jordan Swain, 35, Mattix Road, Lisbon, was bound over to the county grand jury on charges of third-degree felony having a weapon while under disability, and misdemeanors of obstructing official business, two counts illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and back up lights required. Swain allegedly had a firearm in his possession and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Jan. 30 in Lisbon while under felony indictment for a drug charge.
Eric Ewing, 46, Dover, was fined $750 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for three days served, for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was also ordered to forfeit $312 to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, perform 150 hours community service and complete a 12-hour preventing prostitution course. Ewing solicited sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for a bag of suspected marijuana and drove to Salem for the meeting on April 29.
A pretrial was set May 8 for Richard Marchese, 60, Noiroeville, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly answering an undercover ad for two females and soliciting sexual conduct with them in exchange for $140, arriving March 5 in East Palestine for the meeting.
A pretrial was set May 1 for Graham Rodhe, 34, Newton Falls, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly answering an undercover ad on a known prostitution website of two females, soliciting sexual conduct from them in exchange for $80, meth and weed he was going to share and arriving in East Palestine on March 5 for the meeting.
A pretrial was set May 4 for Joseph Geraci, 66, Verona, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly answering an undercover ad on a known prostitution website of two females, soliciting sexual conduct from them in exchange for either $140 or $220, and arriving March 5 in East Palestine for the meeting.
A pretrial was set March 13 for Joshua Gallimore, Glasgow Road, Greenford, charged with violating a temporary protection order. Bond was set at $20,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim. Gallimore allegedly went to the victim’s home and had contact with her on March 4 in Madison Township, in violation of a protection order.
A pretrial was set May 15 for Steven Bondoni, 43, Canton, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly becoming irate in the lobby of the Salem Police Department on March 4 while waiting for his ride to arrive and going out into the middle of the street.
A pretrial was set May 16 for Brian Ours, 56, Seventh Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly being intoxicated and combative with two other males on March 5 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set May 15 for Tyler Austin, 31, St. George Street, East Liverpool, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly trespassing in a condemned home on Mulberry Street on March 5 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set May 15 for Clayton Murray, 22, East Martin Street, East Palestine, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, OVI breath first offense and speeding.
Heather Carpenter, 47, Smithfield, was fined $1,165 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, along with a 180-day suspended jail term, for OVI first offense, driving under suspension and failure to control. Her driver’s license was suspended for a year and she was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
Daniel Riggs, 45, Monroeville Heights, Salineville, was fined $470 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit for three days served, for falsification, two counts drug paraphernalia, two counts no license and restricted tinted glass. Charges stemmed from an Aug. 19, 2022 traffic stop in East Liverpool when he gave a different name to officers and possessed drug paraphernalia, for possessing two burnt pipes commonly used to smoke crack cocaine during a traffic stop on Dec. 21, 2022 in St. Clair Township and for a Jan. 28 traffic stop in East Liverpool.
A driving under suspension charge was dismissed against Jibril Hammond, 23, North Market Street, East Palestine.
Marques Kimmie, 27, Cleveland, was fined $50 for possessing marijuana.
William Craven, 65, Commerce Street, Wellsville, was fined $100 for no license.
A pretrial was set May 16 for Anthony Wagoner, 42, Walnut Street, Rogers, charged with no valid license.
Justin Broad, 41, Alliance, was dishonorably terminated from probation on charges of theft and criminal trespass from 2012.
A pretrial was set May 16 for Chad Huston, 37, Bye Road, East Palestine, charged with driving under suspension.
David K. Watt, 77, Crestview Road, New Waterford, was fined $50 for possessing marijuana.
