-- Officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Franklin Street at 3:03 a.m. Thursday for a report of telecommunications harassment. Officers spoke with the person in question and advised him to stop his actions and block the accounts he is associating with.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Ohio Avenue at 9:12 p.m. Wednesday for a parking complaint which turned into a neighbor dispute. The caller advised her neighbors continuously park sideways near the parking garage which prevents them from being able to park in their spaces. She said when her boyfriend tried talking to a man about the issue, he brandished a stun gun. The man in question had already departed and contact was made at the apartment in question, advising them of their complaint.
-- While on patrol in the area of North Lincoln Avenue and East Second Street at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday officers observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign, and officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Officers made contact with the driver and a passenger, and while identifying all parties it was discovered the passenger of the vehicle, Randall Culler, 43, had an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office. The driver was given a warning for the stop sign violation.
-- Officers responded to the area of North Ellsworth Avenue and East Fourth Street at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a suspicious man. The caller advised they'd seen them on a property that he does not belong on, and was unsure if the man was attempting to break into a residence. Officers located the man and advised him to stay off properties where he did not belong.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday for a report of fraud. She advised that someone had opened a Chase credit card in her name on Feb. 24. She further advised that she had received a letter from Chase stating she requested an address change, despite not having done so, nor opening a credit card. The woman was given the report number and advised to contact Chase and have the account closed.
-- Officers spoke with a woman at the police department at 5:57 p.m. Wednesday regarding a child custody dispute. The woman said that she had let her ex-boyfriend and the father of her children watch their children Monday, and that she had texted them the day prior and advised him to return her children and he refused. Officers contacted the man and advised him he had to return the children to their mother since they are not married the mother has full rights to the children. Officers advised the man that if he didn't return the children immediately, he would be in violation of interference of custody and would be subject to a warrant being issued for him. The man said he would bring the children home immediately.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East Second Street at 5:56 p.m. Wednesday for a reported hit and skip. The caller advised that when she left work, she found damage to the right rear side of her vehicle that was not there that morning. The caller was provided a report number.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Rose Avenue at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the woman who was intoxicated, and advised she was fine and just wanted to take a nap. She did not appear to be in any distress.
-- Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 4:24 p.m. Wednesday for a report of an assault. The caller advised that their juvenile son got punched in the face by another juvenile in the neighborhood. Officers made contact with the mother of the juvenile in question and said the juvenile had come to their house and wanted to fight her son, and had witnessed her son walk over and punch the boy in the face. The mother of the juvenile that got punched said she didn't want to pursue any charges at that time.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of West Wilson Street at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a license plate stolen from a trailer. The theft occurred sometime the prior evening or during the morning hours that day. The caller had obtained a replacement plate but wanted the stolen plate documented.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of Trimble Street at 10:57 a.m. Wednesday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that two men were walking on a neighbor's driveway toward the backyard. The caller yelled to the men they weren't allowed to be there and both men left the area.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East State Street at 9:27 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a line down on the sidewalk. Officers and the fire department located the wire and removed it from the sidewalk.
-- Officers responded to an apartment in the 500 block of Franklin Avenue at 2:43 p.m. Wednesday for a noise complaint. Officers made contact with the male resident and advised him of the complaint. While the music was not in violation of any state law or local ordinance it was requested that he turn the music down due to having downstairs neighbors. Officers responded back to the apartment at 3:02 a.m. for another noise complaint. Officers could hear some music inside; however, the audio was low and could barely be heard outside. Contact was made with the resident again and requested he turn the music down some more for his downstairs neighbor. Officers responded a third time to the apartment at 3:25 a.m. Officers spoke with the caller who was upset that nothing was being done about the noise. Officers advised each time they had responded that while they did hear some voices and music it was not excessive and not in violation of any state law or ordinance, and that he would have to contact his landlord to make a complaint.
-- Officers were flagged down in the 1800 block of East State Street by a man who reported his tools and clothing had been stolen by a woman he'd stayed with several times on Lexington Avenue. While investigating officers found the matter to be civil in nature, however, officers did contact the woman who advised that they had already come to an agreement to return his property as soon as she got her child to bed. The man acknowledged that the conversation with the woman and nothing further was needed.
-- Officers spoke with a woman at the police department at 8:41 p.m. Tuesday to report possible menacing by stalking by her ex-boyfriend. The woman advised that the previous day while she was in a vehicle with her son on East Pershing Street and the ex-had tailgated them, flashing their lights, and that she believed on that day the ex had also contacted her medical marijuana dispensary in Boardman and told them that she was selling her medical marijuana which she said she is not doing. She was advised to keep documentation of any future harassment from the ex and report it, and was also advised on how to file a protection order if she felt she needed one. Officers contacted the ex by phone and advised him of the complaint and to cease contact with the woman. The ex acknowledged the incident on East Pershing Street but said he was only doing so because the woman owes him money and he was trying to get it back. He also reported that the woman's son had threatened him with a gun the day prior but he had not reported it. Officers informed him of the procedure for filing a protection order if he felt he needed one. Officers provided both parties with report numbers.
-- Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of East State Street and South Broadway Avenue at 6:36 p.m. Tuesday. Officers found the driver, David Butcher, 50, Salem, to have a suspended license, and found the vehicle to have an expired registration. During the stop K-9 Simon was deployed and indicated the presence of narcotic odor. A search of the vehicle revealed no contraband. Butcher was cited for driving under suspension and expired plates.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 6:24 p.m. Tuesday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force for an alleged sex offense. Officers seized $100 from the man as part of the investigation.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 1400 block of East State Street at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a domestic in progress. Officers spoke with both people involved, who advised the incident was a verbal dispute over family issues with no physical violence.
-- Officers responded a residence in the 700 block of East Third Street at 4:24 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a civil matter. The caller said that his roommates moved out and he wanted all their property out. The caller was advised to contact his landlord since he was not on the lease to see what his options were.
-- Officers on patrol in the area of Merle Road and Southeast Boulevard stopped a vehicle for a moving violation, and a registration violation. K-9 Simon was deployed and indicated the presence of narcotic odor, and contraband was recovered and destroyed. Officers issued the driver a written warning for the traffic violation.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 1900 block of Fairview Court at 11:09 a.m. Tuesday for a report of identity theft. The caller advised that she had received a letter in the mail in regard to unemployment she did not file for, and that when she spoke to the unemployment officer, she was advised the person had known her personal information, including her banking information. The caller was advised a police report would be made.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of West Wilson Street at 9:37 a.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. Officers were advised that the caller had been unable to contact her brother by phone or at his home the prior day. Officers knocked on several doors with no response, so the fire department was contacted to open a door, however one was found unlocked. Officers shouted into the home and heard a faint voice coming from upstairs. Officers were then able to make contact with the man who advised he fell and was not able to get up, and had been like that for about a day. EMT responded to the scene and transported the man to the local hospital.

-- An officer patrolling the area of Jerome near North Market Street at 12:24 a.m. Sunday located an unoccupied running vehicle at a nearby business. The business was found secure. The officer was unable to locate the driver.
-- A village pickup used by the water department sustained a broken driver side mirror after a driver struck the unoccupied Chevy Silverado on East Chestnut Street near McKinley Elementary School at 1:18 p.m. March 17. The driver drove to village hall to report the damage.
-- An officer responded to the area of West Lincoln Way and Logtown to assist the Lisbon Fire Department with shutting down the road after a rollover crash near state Route 172 the morning of March 17.
-- An officer responded to Applegrove apartments, Saltwell Road, after receiving a call at 6:37 a.m. March 16 for a woman who fell walking to her living room. She said she hurt her elbow and leg. After North Star EMS arrived and got her back in her chair, she said she was ok and did not need to go to the hospital.
-- A person to be removed was reported at 9:41 p.m. March 13 at Lisbon Circle K on North Market Street. The person was identified and told to leave, which he did.
-- An officer was called at 9:04 p.m. March 12 to the Lisbon laundromat on East Lincoln Way to retrieve a located credit card.
-- An officer was flagged down at the Lisbon laundromat on East Lincoln Way at 9:56 p.m. March 11 and told about a suspicious man inside who appeared to be talking to himself. The officer checked on the man and was told everything was fine.
