LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set April 13 for Katie Riley, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with second-degree felony burglary.
Riley allegedly broke a door to enter a woman’s home on June 25, 2022 in East Liverpool, telling the woman she was looking for her boyfriend and broke a picture frame while there. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety and she was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
A preliminary hearing was set April 13 for Tina George, 54, Pennsylvania Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with fourth-degree felony domestic violence for allegedly assaulting an adult male, attempting to throw him down the steps and throwing/damaging household items including a dresser and television on April 5 in East Liverpool. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety and she was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set April 13 for Thomas Akers, 33, St. George Street, East Liverpool, charged with third-degree felony tampering with evidence and misdemeanors of driving under suspension, violating a temporary protection order and possession of drug abuse instrument. The misdemeanor charges stem from a traffic stop April 5 in Columbiana when Akers had an active protection order with the passenger of the vehicle. Once at the police station in Columbiana, he was allegedly caught with a syringe in his possession.
Mariah Beaver, 32, Dewey Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 45 days in jail, with credit for 10 days served, for obstructing official business and falsification for allegedly providing a false name and someone else’s social security number on March 27 in East Liverpool, then being taken to jail on that other person’s warrant.
A pretrial was set June 22 for Kira Price, 34, Vale Street, East Liverpool, charged with escape, theft, driving under suspension and turn signal violation. Price was taken into custody after allegedly admitting to taking a cell phone at a Bloomfield Road residence in St. Clair Township on April 4, then escaped from the cruiser and fled on foot, being found by police near McGuffey and Dresden avenues. The traffic charges stemmed from a Jan. 13 traffic stop in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set June 22 for Malcolm Salyers, Spillway Road, Lisbon, charged with two counts telecommunications harassment. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the victims. Salyers allegedly has been contacting a male victim attempting to make him come to his place and was trying to get him fired by directly contacting his employer. The victim allegedly told him multiple times to stop contacting him and spoke to St. Clair Township officers in March about the harassment. Also in March, a woman reported to the sheriff’s office that she was receiving harassing text messages from Salyers, who was told not to contact her.
Beau Manley, 39, Wood Street, East Liverpool, was fined $500 and sentenced to 20 days in jail, with credit for two days served, for receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor, for possessing a stolen Ohio registration sticker on the license plate of the vehicle he was driving during a traffic stop at July 14, 2022.
Ryan Armstrong, 38, Depot Road, Salem, was sentenced to 10 days in jail during a review hearing for a 2021 aggravated menacing charge.
David J. Wood, 28, East Fourth Street, Salem, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 162 days suspended and credit for 18 days served, for domestic violence. He was also ordered to complete 40 hours community service. Wood punched a woman in the nose on March 19 in Salem.
A pretrial was set June 27 for David L. Cassidy, 37, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for $63 worth of items at the Calcutta Walmart on March 22.
A pretrial was set Rodney Allen Carter, 41, Youngstown, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly using someone else’s name when East Liverpool police conducted a warrant check at a house on West Seventh Street on March 25. Carter had a warrant for his arrest in Columbiana County.
A pretrial/probation violation hearing was set April 13 for Andrea Lee Gibson, 45, East Rochester Road, East Rochester, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and accused of violating probation on a domestic violence case. The domestic violence case stemmed from an incident Feb. 10. The drug charge stemmed from Gibson allegedly possessing a small bag of suspected narcotic which she identified as methamphetamine after an incident April 5 on U.S. 30 where deputies responded for a suspicious female.
Edward Torres, 41, Green Lane, East Liverpool, was fined $500 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for eight days served, for violating a protection order and obstructing official business. Torres was caught with a woman who has a protection order against him on March 25 in East Liverpool and attempted to flee from police. Officers tripped him and tackled him to the ground.
A pretrial was set June 20 for Jerrold Moore Jr., no date of birth listed, Haywood Street, East Liverpool, charged with four counts failure to pay city income tax and two counts failure to file city income tax return for allegedly failing to pay East Liverpool city income tax in 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2022 and allegedly failing to file an income tax return in 2019 and 2021.
Sentencing was set May 9 for Susan K. Erwin, no date of birth listed, Chester Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with six counts failure to pay city income tax for allegedly failing to pay East Liverpool city income tax from 2017 through 2022
A pretrial was set April 13 for Jordyn Price, 25, McKee Road, Wellsville, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a baggie believed to contain suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale with residue, a rolled-up dollar bill with residue inside and a pink container with unknown pills and rolled dollar bills during a traffic stop on April 6 on state Route 39, Yellow Creek Township.
Alexander Morlan, 25, New Middletown, was fined $150 for driving under suspension, with a charge of criminal damaging dismissed. Morlan had been accused of breaking a window on a car after a verbal altercation in the Sparkle Market parking lot in East Palestine on Jan. 10.
Tony Park, 38, Maple Heights, was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 26 days suspended and credit for four days served, for possession of drug paraphernalia and marked lanes. He was ordered to compete 20 hours community service. Park was accused of possessing a crack pipe during a traffic stop on March 30 in Columbiana.
A pretrial was set June 20 for Nicholas Lyden, 37, Bay Village, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs second offense and OVI breath second offense.
A pretrial was set June 29 for Traci Murphy, 40, Clark Avenue, Wellsville, charged with OVI second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, no valid license, and failure to control.
A pretrial was set June 26 for Nicholas Scott, 32, Youngstown, charged with driving under suspension and speeding.
April Desellem, 48, Hull Road, Salineville, was fined $125 for speeding and an equipment violation, amended from speeding, with a charge of expired plate dismissed.
Eric Jordan, 44, East Pidgeon Road, Salem, was fined $200 for driving under suspension
Richard S. Miller II, 39, Etruria Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 for possessing marijuana and an equipment violation, amended from speeding.
Kathy Jo Tuder, 42, Sunnyside Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for speeding.
Courtney Cook, 29, Commerce Street, Wellsville, was fined $200 for driving under suspension and invalid sticker.
Jeramy Debord, 45, Radcliffe Pass, Columbiana, was fined $50 for speeding in a school zone.
Ricky Clay, 29, Cleveland Street, Salem, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set June 22 for George Eaton, 72, Brookdae Avenue, East Palestine, charged with left of center.
