LISBON — A preliminary hearing was set April 17 in Columbiana County Municipal Court for Andrea Gibson, 45, Rochester Road, East Rochester, for a fifth-degree felony possession of drugs charge.
Gibson allegedly possessed suspected methamphetamine during an incident April 5 on U.S. Route 30, Minerva, where a deputy was called for a suspicious female. A deputy responded, made contact with the woman, later identified as Gibson, and observed signs of intoxication. She turned around to adjust her bra and a small bag of suspected methamphetamine fell out, the report said.
Also in county Municipal Court, Brenda Kay Frye, 57, Riley Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $350 and sentenced to 60 days in jail, with 59 days suspended and one day left to serve, for theft. She was also ordered to complete 20 hours community service and stay out of the Calcutta Giant Eagle, where she failed to pay for $59 worth of items on Jan. 23.
Andrew Cowan, 61, Garrettsville, was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course. Cowan solicited sexual activity in exchange for $240 from an undercover agent posing as two females and arrived in East Palestine on Nov. 18, 2022 for the meeting.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set April 20 for Jeffrey Reynolds, 56, Eric Drive, Lisbon, charged with third-degree felonies of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and misdemeanors of driving under suspension and no motorcycle endorsement.
A pretrial was set June 29 for Beau Graham, 26, Signal Road, Columbiana, charged with OVI second offense, DWI and speeding.
William Sheville Jr., 35, Ware Road, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from assured clear distance.
Chauntczy Robinson, 33, Youngstown, was fined $25 for a safety lights violation, amended from traffic control device.
