LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Todd Gang, 56, Canton, was bound over to the county grand jury for charges of fourth-degree felony attempted illegal sexual conduct with a minor and fifth-degree felonies of importuning, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and possessing criminal tools.
Gang allegedly made contact with an undercover social media account of a 15-year-old female maintained by an agent with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force for investigations. An affidavit said Gang allegedly advised he worked for a carnival company and asked the female for sexual conduct with him, also asking for naked images of the teen. After she would not send them, he said he would just take some when they met. He also allegedly transmitted one image of his private parts and two videos of sexual activity, the affidavit said.
Gang arrived for the meeting in Salem on April 7 with his cell phone used to make the arrangements.
A case against David Orlic, 44, Dubois, Pa., charged with third-degree felony compelling prostitution, fourth-degree felony attempted illegal assembly and fifth-degree felonies of importuning and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad of a 15-year-old female on a known prostitution website and arranging to have sexual conduct with the teen in exchange for $140. He drove to Salem for the meeting Nov. 18, 2022.
A pretrial was set July 10 for George Ray, 60, Meadville, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly arranging to have sexual activity with an undercover agent posing as a female in exchange for 140 and driving to East Palestine on April 12 for the meeting.
Todd Weekly, 51, Malvern, was fined $650 and received a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course. Weekly drove to Salem on Jan. 27 to meet an undercover agent for sexual conduct in exchange for $200.
A pretrial was set April 27 for Daniel Ingram, 26, Prospect Street, Salem, charged with assault and domestic violence for allegedly punching a woman in the face, then pushing her to the ground on April 12 in Butler Township and grabbing her by the throat and choking her on Feb. 6 .
A pretrial was set June 29 for Zaine Husk, 24, Maine Boulevard, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly forcing his way into an East Liverpool apartment after assaulting a woman earlier on Oct. 28, 2022.
A pretrial was set July 10 for Tonia Culbertson, 54, Cusick Road, Lisbon, charged with theft for allegedly failing to pay for 20 12-packs of pop at Family Dollar in Lisbon on March 3.
A pretrial was set July 10 for Addison Sebastian, 24, Pennsylvania Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 81 items between Jan. 31 and March 21 while working as an employee of the Calcutta Walmart.
Jarrod Westover, 22, Continental Drive, Salem, was fined $250 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 85 days suspended and credit for one day serving, leaving four days imposed, for receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia for stealing a bicycle from East Palestine and possessing drug paraphernalia on April 12 in Columbiana.
Megan Detchon, 33, Waddell Street, Leetonia, was fined $350 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for identification fraud and obstructing official business for requesting the name, social security number, date of birth and checking account number of person she believed to be someone's aunt and was going to use the information to open up a credit card in the aunt's name for the person to take money in advance. The person was an undercover officer. She also wouldn't come outside after telling an officer she would for an arrest warrant on Nov. 17, 2022 in Leetonia. She was also ordered to perform 40 hours community service.
A pretrial was set July 11 for Samantha Scyoc, 26, Prospect Street, Salem, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly lying to police who asked if anyone else was in the residence on April 11. She denied anyone was there, then police found a male who was trespassed from the property.
A pretrial was set June 26 for Daniel Reed, 35, Charlton Street, Lisbon, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly being in a Salem residence on April 11 in violation of a trespass order.
A pretrial was set July 3 for Marcus Reed, 20, Summitville, charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police office, possession of marijuana, driving under suspension, reckless operation, improper/expired registration, speeding, stop sign, marked lanes and turn signal violation for allegedly fleeing from police attempting a traffic stop on April 6 in St. Clair Township. The pursuit ended and a search of the vehicle yielded an alleged vape pen.
Sentencing was set April 27 for Caleb Vancampen, 22, North Sumner, East Palestine, who pleaded no contest to theft for stealing a sweatshirt out of a vehicle in East Palestine as the owner was watching, putting it on, then walking home. When police arrived, he answered the door wearing the stolen sweatshirt on April 11.
Eric Wiley, 42, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, was fined $250 for use of unauthorized plate and reckless operation, with a charge of disorderly conduct dismissed for a January incident in East Liverpool.
Tiffany Stiles, 38, Aetna Street, Salem, was ordered to serve 45 days in jail, with credit for 11 days served, for violating her probation on a domestic violence charge from 2021.
Larry Bowen, 63, Elberon Avenue, Salem, was fined $1,550 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 117 days suspended and 63 days left to serve, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving under suspension and left of center. His driver's license was suspended for three years.
Miranda Plumm, 37, Sprucevale Road, East Liverpool, was fined $925 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in driver intervention, for OVI and left of center. Her driver's license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted. She was also ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
A motion hearing was set May 30 for Jay Dinch, 64, Parkview Drive, Wellsville, charged with OVI first offense and OVI breath first offense.
A pretrial was set July 20 for Steven Chamberlain, 55, state Route 164, Lisbon, charged with court ordered suspension.
A driving under suspension charge was dismissed against Travis Michael Bragg, 24, East Fifth Street, Salem.
Katelyn Bailey, 22, Salineville Road, Salineville, was fined $25 for an equipment violation, amended from a stop sign violation.
Nicholas Landsberger, 22, Pancake Clarkson Road, Rogers, was fined $50 for a turn signal violation, with a speeding charge dismissed.
Mary Goehring, 50, Green Lane, East Liverpool, was fined $200 for failure to yield and no valid license.
