LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a pretrial was set May 1 for Travis Monigold, 40, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with weapons while intoxicated, aggravated menacing and obstructing official business. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no firearms or ammo. Police were called to Wilbert Avenue on April 19 for multiple calls about Monigold allegedly pointing a gun at people and making them think he would harm them. He allegedly ignored commands of police and continued in his apartment and later admitted to having alcoholic beverages.
Joseph T. Moore, 26, Winona Road, Salem, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 166 days suspended, with credit for 13 days served, for domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and have no contact with the victim. Moore yelled at a woman and threw his hands up at her before breaking her cane when she used it as a defensive tactic on him on April 7 on Winona Road. She told a deputy she was fearful for her life and fled to a relative's residence.
A pretrial was set April 27 for Chelsea Simpson, 29, West North Avenue, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence for allegedly striking a man in the side of the face with her cell phone during a physical altercation April 19 in East Palestine.
A pretrial was set May 1 for Michael Diana, 43, Youngstown, charged with assault for allegedly assaulting a woman on April 18 on state Route 165, East Palestine, grabbing her by the shirt and smacking her. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
A pretrial was set April 27 for Casey Carter, 31, East Liverpool Road, East Liverpool, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly delaying a probation officer at Columbiana County Municipal Court from collecting a proper urine sample from her on April 18 during an ordered drug screen.
Anthony Cornell, 30, Columbia Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence, for shoving a woman and making threats toward a man at State Route 170 Drive-Thru in St. Clair Township on Jan. 24, 2022.
Levi Vollnogle, 28, Wayne Bridge Road, Lisbon, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 179 days suspended and credit for one day served, for assault, amended from domestic violence, for causing harm to a woman on July 28, 2022 at a Leetonia residence. He was permitted to buy out 40 hours community service.
Hannah Rose Pierce, 22, Dogwood Circle, New Waterford, was fined $150 and sentenced to two days in jail, with credit for two days served, for disorderly conduct for yelling, being argumentative and screaming obscenities after police were called to the residence on Jan. 28.
A pretrial was set April 24 for Joseph R. Quinn, 22, Orchard Street, East Liverpool, charged with two counts disorderly conduct for allegedly being publicly intoxicated on April 8 in East Liverpool and then standing in the road yelling at cars on Rubicon Street, East Liverpool on April 18. He was taken to the hospital which he left without being seen, and was later found on West Sixth Street exhibiting the same behavior.
A pretrial was set July 13 for Leonard Coursin, 71, Henry Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly offloading an appliance after hours on Henry Avenue on April 15 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set May 1 for Anthony Baker, 37, Sophia Street, East Liverpool, charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly threatening to beat up a man on April 19 in East Liverpool and pulling away from officers while being taken into custody.
A pretrial was set May 4 for Jason Conkle, 44, Hollywood Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with resisting arrest for allegedly failing to comply with officers' commands while being arrested on a felony warrant on April 18 in Liverpool Township.
A pretrial was set July 18 for Charity Dean, 45, Weirton, W.Va., charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 39 items totaling $170 from the Calcutta Walmart on April 13.
A pretrial was set May 4 for Nathan Elkins, 34, Baden, Pa., charged with falsification and drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a glass vile and plastic bags with residue and giving a different name than his own to police during a traffic stop April 19 in St. Clair Township.
James DC Mackim, homeless, Canton, was fined $150 and sentenced to 60 days in jail, with credit for 24 days served for obstructing official business, amended from obstructing justice. He was also sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit for 10 days served, for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Mackim ran from deputies investigating an alleged burglary in Knox Township and hid in the woods at Knox School Road and Hartley Road on March 27 and possessed a crack pipe.
Kevin Burke, 50, Annesley Road, East Liverpool, was fined $915 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to control. His driver's license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted, and he was permitted to buy out 40 hours community service.
Derrick Braden, 39, Youngstown, was fined $250 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for reckless operation, amended from OVI. His driver's license was suspended for 90 days.
Michelle Chaney, 37, Chester, W.Va., was fined $150 for drug paraphernalia for having two burnt crack pipes in her bra during a traffic stop on Jan. 27 in East Liverpool.
Rachel Brown, 36, Alderlick Road, Wellsville, was fined $200 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for theft for failing to scan and pay for 19 items totaling $178 at the Calcutta Walmart on Nov. 28, 2022.
A pretrial was set July 13 for Corey Welsh, 28, Chamberlain Street, Negley, charged with OVI first offense, no seat belt and improper/expired registration.
Cases against Karlee Jade Walker, 22, Chester, W.Va. for tampering with evidence and obstructing official business was dismissed due to an indictment already issued for the case in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court. Walker had allegedly identified herself using her sister Asa's information when originally charged for the tampering charge after a March 5 incident on First Avenue, East Liverpool. A police affidavit said Walker was allegedly stopped for acting suspicious running and hiding in residents' yards and then stepped on a bag of white substance dropped by another person and threw it towards a house.
David L. Holloway, 62, Lisbon Canfield Road, was fined $200 for speeding, possessing marijuana and possessing marijuana paraphernalia.
A pretrial was set May 4 for Bryant Allen, 32, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, charged with possession of drug abuse instrument and possession of marijuana for allegedly possessing a syringe during a traffic stop May 31, 2020 in St. Clair Township. He's also facing a probation violation hearing on May 4 for OVI, failure to display and driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set July 17 for Sylvester Lane, 49, Austintown, charged with driving under suspension.
Bryan Luckett, 53, Mantua, was fined $200 for open container and possession of drug paraphernalia for an incident April 19 in Salem.
Elwood Williams, 24, East Fourth Street, Salem, was fined $75 for driving under suspension.
Jose Alferez, 54, East Sixth Street, Salem, was fined $650 for leaving the scene and left of center. His driver's license was suspended for 180 days, with driving privileges granted.
Rebecca McComas, 50, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, was fined $100 for two counts of failure to register dogs. A pretrial was set July 11 for a charge of no driver's license.
A driving under suspension charge was dismissed against Robert N. Davis, Cricket Lane, Columbiana.
Jamel Patton, 27, Youngstown, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Paul McEvey III, 65, Youngstown, was fined $50 for one way traffic.
A headlight violation was dismissed against Michael McFarlane, 75, Birch Road, East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set July 11 for Robert Stoddard, 68, Cunningham Road, Salem, charged with speeding.
Hayden Cope, 28, Kirk Road, Columbiana, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Allison Weese, 35, Sunbury, was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle, amended from assured clear distance.
