-- Officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of Barclay Avenue at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday for a reported domestic incident. When officers arrived an upset woman requested to go retrieve her phone which she did and was given a ride to a friend's residence.
-- Officers on patrol in the area of Centennial Park at 4:06 p.m. Wednesday observed juveniles walking on top of the picnic tables. Officers advised them to stop and they understood.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of Barclay Avenue at 4:01 p.m. Wednesday for a reported domestic dispute. Officers spoke with both of the people involved determining it to be a verbal dispute between the two people involved. The woman that was involved willingly left the residence.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 3:13 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a street sign down. Officers located the sign in question in the 300 block of Rose Avenue, and contacted the fire department to transport the sign in question to the police department.
-- Officers responded to a business in the 500 block of East State Street at 2:58 p.m. Wednesday to speak with the store owner who advised that she had been having problems with a man frequenting the back of the store overnight. The owner advised that sometimes the man takes property or just goes through it, and that she would like him banned from the store. A trespass notice was signed for the man.
-- Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 1:09 p.m. Wednesday to report a phone scam. The man advised that his adult daughter was involved with a scam where she had received a call from a person claiming to be from a government agency requesting money be sent to them using gift cards. Officers advised the man of his options for dealing with the situation.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force for an alleged sex offense. Officers seized $150 from a man as part of the investigation.
-- The school resource officer was advised of a possible issue at the high school at 10:59 a.m. Wednesday. The resource officer along with an administrator investigated the issue finding it to only be a rumor.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 1900 block of Maple Street at 10:29 a.m. Wednesday to assist the fire department. The fire department was on scene for a separate incident when the CO2 monitor started beeping. The fire department checked nearby residential homes and found a man unresponsive inside a home. The man was transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Rose Avenue at 10:39 a.m. Wednesday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that their downstairs neighbor kept yelling profanity out her window to the caller. Officers spoke with the woman and advised her to stop yelling out the window at the caller.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of West Seventh Street at 9:36 a.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. Officers were unable to contact the person in question.
-- Officers spoke to a man by phone at 2:12 a.m. Wednesday requesting officers respond to a residence in the 2300 block of Tanglewood Drive to contact his sister, as his 92-year-old mother who has a mental issue was parked in the driveway of the residence in question. The caller wanted officers to contact his sister to have her help his mother get home safely. Officers made contact with the mother and the sister. The family took care of the issue.
-- Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday to assist another agency with taking a man into custody. When officers arrived, the agency had already taken the man into custody.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 2:51 a.m. Friday for a suspicious activity report. The caller advised that she thought someone had attempted to open her window. Officers checked the area but located nobody.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 11:57 p.m. Thursday for a report of three people with a baseball bat. Officers made contact with the people, who did not have a bat.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of West Fourth Street at 10:44 p.m. Thursday for a report of a possible domestic dispute. Both parties advised there had been an argument but nothing physical had occurred. Both parties were separated for the evening.
-- Officers responded with the fire department to the 400 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 8:36 p.m. Thursday for a medical call. Officers stood by until no longer needed.
-- Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 7:05 p.m. Thursday for a possible sex offense. Officers gathered the person's information as well as that of the other involved parties and advised that it would be forwarded to the detectives.
-- Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 4:07 p.m. Thursday for a medical call. Officers found the woman in question was involved in an incident that occurred in Perry Township the night prior and had attempted to harm herself. After speaking with the woman, she agreed to be voluntarily transported to Alliance hospital for an evaluation.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of Steubenville Pike Road at 3:27 p.m. Thursday to assist the U.S. Marshals in locating a person with several outstanding warrants. The person was taken into custody without issue.
-- Officers responded to the railroad tracks near South Ellsworth Avenue at 1:30 p.m. Thursday for reports of a woman walking on the tracks. Officers located the woman, who advised she had been walking home from work. Officers advised the woman of the dangers of walking on the rail road tracks.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East Third Street at 12:44 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check. Officers made contact with the woman in question who appeared to be under the influence and advised that she had taken an overdose of her medication and wanted to go to the hospital. The fire department and KLG responded and the woman was transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 7:54 a.m. Thursday who advised of some issues she is having with her current living conditions and roommate. She was advised of options to deal with the matter and told to call the police if needed.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Franklin Street at 7:23 a.m. Thursday for a person with a knife complaint. Officers were advised that a dispute had taken place between neighbors over loud music, during which a woman had a knife on her when police were called. Officers were unable to determine if a knife was actually involved and advised all parties to stay away from each other and call for any future incidents. Both parties were informed of their option to submit a statement to be reviewed for possible charges but declined.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of East Fifth Street at 2:12 a.m. Thursday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers found the incident to be verbal only between the caller's parents over relationship issues. While on scene it was found the female party, Sue Leclerc, 41, had an active warrant out of Columbiana County. The warrant was confirmed and Leclerc was taken into custody and later released to the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 10:48 p.m. Wednesday to assist Perry Township officers with a domestic incident. The man involved, whose name was not listed fled from officers but was later located and taken into custody.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 9:18 p.m. Wednesday for a report of an out-of-control juvenile. The juvenile's mother wanted the juvenile to go to the hospital. The juvenile was transported to Akron Children's Hospital Boardman by EMT.
Goshen Police District
-- Shane Burkhart, 34, Washingtonville, was cited for speeding after his nrothwestbound vehicle on state Route 14 was observed travelling in excess of the speed limit at 10:50 p.m. March 23.
-- Alexis Cusick, 32, New Waterford, was cited for speeding after his westbound vehicle on Western Reserve Road was observed travelling in excess of the speed limit at 9:09 a.m. March 22.
-- Amber Koerner, 35, North Benton, was cited for speeding after her eastbound vehicle on Cleveland East Liverpool Road was observed travelling in excess of the speed limit at 1:21 p.m. March 21.
-- Andrea Nurse, 26, Lake Milton, was cited for speeding after her eastbound vehicle on Cleveland East Liverpool Road was observed travelling in excess of the speed limit at 11:50 a.m. March 21.
-- Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Western Reserve Road at 5:52 a.m. March 18, finding the driver Austin Young, 28, East Liverpool, to be operating under a suspension out of Tennessee and Ohio. Young was cited for speeding and driving under suspension. During the course of the investigation officers discovered one of the passengers, Damien Wright, 22, East Liverpool had an active warrant out of the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office. Officers confirmed the sheriff's office wanted to extradite Wright back to Pennsylvania and took him into custody. Wright was transported to the Mahoning County Justice Center in Youngstown to await extradition. The vehicle was turned over to a valid driver.
-- Officers on patrol observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Cleveland East Liverpool Road in excess of the speed limit at 6:54 a.m. Thursday. Officers initiated a traffic stop, finding the driver, Ronald Wiley, 28, Rootstown, had a suspended license and an active warrant for his arrest out of the Portage County Sheriff's Office. After confirming the warrant and the suspension officers took Wiley into custody. Officers issued a citation for driving under suspension, and turned Wiley over to a Portage County Sheriff's Deputy.
-- Officers responded to Knopp Road at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday for a reported overdose.
-- Officers took a report of threatening text messages by phone at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday.
-- Seth Lockner, 26, North Benton, was cited for speeding after his eastbound vehicle on West Western Reserve Road was observed travelling in excess of the speed limit at 11:43 a.m. Monday.
-- Marie Bandy, 34, Canfield, was cited for speeding after her westbound vehicle on West South Range Road was observed travelling in excess of the speed limit at 11:37 a.m. Monday.
-- Nicole Kleese, 43, Vienna, was cited for speeding after his northbound vehicle on South Pricetown Road near Danbury Drive was observed travelling in excess of the speed limit at 11:29 a.m. Monday.
-- Scott Bashor, 41, Hubbard, was cited for OVI after his southbound vehicle on South Pricetown Road went off the west side of the roadway, through a field, over a driveway, through another field, and back onto the roadway before coming to a stop in the area of Alliance Salem Road and South Pricetown Road at 7:08 p.m. March 25. Bashor was transported to Alliance hospital by the Damascus Fire Department for possible injuries.
-- Timothy Gorski, 37, Odenton, Maryland, was cited for speeding after his southeastbound vehicle on state Route 14 was observed travelling in excess of the speed limit at 1:53 a.m. March 25.
-- A man wanted by Goshen Township police for allegedly stalking a woman has been taken into custody.
Jonathan Burkholder, 40, Salem, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshall's Service's Youngstown Division Thursday without incident.
Burkholder had been charged March 28 by Goshen Township police with felony menacing by stalking and misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing and telecommunications harassment for allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend following an investigation by the Goshen Police District.
Burkholder was transported to the Mahoning County Jail for holdin g pending his court hearing.
Perry Township
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of Benton Road at 5:39 p.m. Thursday for a report of a stolen motorcycle. The caller advised that they had a motorcycle delivered to a mechanic in the area and that after a few months when he tried to make arrangements to pick up the motorcycle it was advised that it was no longer there. Officers are working to obtain all necessary information from the caller and the matter is under investigation.
-- Amber Younkin, 42, North Benton, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after his vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Joann Hawthorne, 72, Lisbon, at the intersection of U.S. Route 62 and North Lincoln Avenue at 4:34 p.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday for a reported domestic. Officers found the male party, Kolton Smith, 25, Salem, had assaulted two women and a child in the home and fled on foot. The Salem Police Department was contacted to assist in locating Smith. Smith was located and taken into custody charged with two counts of domestic violence, assault and obstructing official business. Smith was transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Benton Road at 10:22 a.m. Wednesday to assist the Columbiana County Health Department. Officers found nobody present at the residence and completed their investigation without issue.
-- Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a naked man in a black vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the man or vehicle in the area.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of East Third Street at 11:47 p.m. Tuesday to assist Salem Police Department with removing multiple parties from the dwelling.
-- Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue near Old Farm Road at 2:43 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a child in a diaper running in a yard without supervision. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the child.
-- John King, 22, Bristolville, was cited for right of way after his northbound vehicle on U.S. Route 62 attempted to turn west on state Route 14, being struck by a vehicle driven southbound by Aaron Kensinger, 47, Salem, on U.S. Route 62 at 4:14 p.m. Monday. The fire department and EMT responded to the scene due to observed injuries, and both vehicles were removed from the scene by Sinsley Towing.
