- A couple reported at 4:49 p.m. on Friday that they were receiving harassing phone calls and voice messages from someone known to them. All parties involved were warned to cease and desist contact with each other.
- Officers responded at 2:43 p.m. on Friday to the report of a suspicious male on East Taggart Street. The area was searched but the male was unable to be located.
- Officers assisted East Palestine EMS on a medical call on West Main Street at 1:34 p.m. on Friday.
- Theft of items taken from a residence on Alice Street was reported at 9:50 a.m. on Friday.
- The East Palestine school resource officer responded at 9:29 a.m. to a verbal dispute between parents of two students at the elementary school on West Grant Street on Friday.
- Officers assisted Negley EMS at 9:06 a.m. on a medical call at East Taggart Street on Thursday.
- Officers responded at 4:36 p.m. to Alice Street to reports of a dispute between two parents involving a vape pen that was allegedly given to a child on Thursday.
- Officers responded at 10:01 p.m. to an alarm at Huntington Bank on North Market Street on Wednesday. Officers determined a cleaning crew had accidentally tripped the alarm.
- Officers responded at 6:53 p.m. to West Rebecca Street for a theft report involving a stolen bicycle on Wednesday.
- Officers responded at 4:03 p.m. to a report of multiple cats living in an abandoned residence on North Walnut Street on Wednesday. Officers observed through the window that all the animals looked healthy. The residence appeared to be undergoing remodeling and the officers made an attempt to contact the homeowner.
- Officer responded at 12:14 p.m. to Calybrook Drive on Wednesday after a wellness check was requested. Officers were unable to make contact with anyone at the residence but spoke to the female a short time later who advised she was fine.
- Officers responded at 7:14 p.m. to a residential alarm at North Pleasant Drive on April 11. Officers spoke to the keyholder at the scene who advised a fan may have set off the alarm.
- Officers responded at 4:33 p.m. to the area of McCure Avenue and North Market Street after a noise complaint. ATVs and loud music was reported on April 11. Officers found neither at the scene.
- Officers responded at 3:05 p.m. to a report of vehicles in a car being tampered with on North Sumner Street on April 11 and arrested Caleb VanCampen, 26, East Palestine for theft. The caller reported he witnessed VanCampen remove items from a car and put on a black hoodie before walking away. The caller followed the male back to a residence on North Sumner Street. Officers made contact with VanCampen who was still wearing the stolen sweatshirt and admitted the theft. Vancampen was transported to Columbiana County Jail.
- Officers responded at 11:59 p.m. to reports of a suspicious male on North Market Street on April 10. Officers made contact with the subject who was walking home to his residence.
- Officers responded at 11:53 p.m. to a call advising that a door was open at the pool bath house on Park Drive April 10. Officers found the scene to be safe and secured the door.
- Officers responded at 5:19 p.m. to Columbia Street on April 9 to a noise complaint involving dirt bikes being on the roadway. Officer made contact with the owner of the bikes and he was advised to keep the vehicles off the roadway.
- Officers responded at 4:08 p.m. on April 9 to East North Avenue to a neighbor dispute over tree branches and other items being placed in the alley behind a residence to reportedly prohibit travel. The complainant had already removed the items before officers arrived and advised he knew who did it. Officers forwarded a copy of the report to the village zoning officer.
- Officers assisted at 10:15 p.m. village police and EMS with a drug overdose call on North Market Street on April 8. The victim was transported to the hospital and the incident is under investigation.
- Andrew Meyers, no age or address given, was cited at 8:57 p.m. on April 8 for speed and open container and warned for illegal window tint after a traffic stop on West Street.
- Officers responded at 5:16 p.m. to reports of small children running across the road several times on Sumner Street on April 8. Officers made contact with the children's mother who confirmed the children were safe.
- Officers responded at 1:54 p.m. to an incident involving juveniles in a backyard at Malibu Drive on April 8.
- A shop owner on North Market Street reported a theft at 12:20 p.m. on April 8.
- Scott Rogers, no age or address given, was cited for driving under suspension and headlights required after a traffic stop on Bacon Avenue at 12:34 a.m. on April 8.
- Officers responded at 6:43 p.m. to East Clark Street on April 7 after a report of an argument inside a home. Officers determined it was a neighbor dispute and all involved were advised to take up the issue with their landlord.
- Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence on East Main Street for days on April 7. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
Salem
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of West Perry Street at 1:02 a.m. Wednesday for a domestic in progress. Both parties had already separated when officers arrived. The caller wanted to leave but was unable to locate her keys and both subjects advised they would separate for the evening, so no further incidents occurred.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 2700 block of East State Street at 12:39 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a suspicious clear bag with what appeared to be a substance inside. Prior to officers' arrival someone removed and discarded the item. Officers advised the caller that if the incident happens again not to remove the item.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday for a report of threats. The caller advised that she had an argument with a woman the day prior and has been receiving threatening messages since. Officers advised that they would attempt to contact with the woman and advise her of the complaint.
-- While checking the area of North Lincoln Avenue at 2:21 p.m. Tuesday for a reckless operator officers located an unrelated reckless operator, observing a traffic violation and conducting a traffic stop. The driver, Owen Gorby, 18, Salem was advised of the violation and a registration violation was also observed. Gorby couldn't provide the correct documentation for the vehicle and a search of the vehicle recovered a small amount of contraband. The contraband was destroyed and Gorby was cited for fictitious plates.
-- Glen Windram, Leetonia, was cited for failure to yield after his vehicle attempted to make a left turn out of a parking lot striking a vehicle driven westbound on East State Street by Patricia Julian, Salem, at 1:33 p.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported.
-- Officers spoke with a person by phone at 11:39 a.m. Tuesday for a report of an unknown person attempting to scam them. The caller advised that an unknown person had called stating they would be delivering an expensive package to their residence and that they had become upset and started using profanity when they were told nothing had been ordered and they were not to deliver anything. Officers advised the caller of their options for dealing with the situation.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of East Third Street at 11:25 p.m. Monday for a report of an intoxicated man driving. Officers found the vehicle to be unoccupied and spoke with a woman in the home who advised she had been driving and not her boyfriend. The woman said that due to the vehicle being a standard she was not the best at driving it.
