LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a pretrial was set May 11 for John B. Roberts, 39, Goodlettsville, Tenn, charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly making threats via video on social media that he was coming to shoot up the little town of East Liverpool and people at a residence on Thompson Park Road. Bond was set at $7,500 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with anyone at the property on Thompson Park Road, East Liverpool. The case stemmed from 2021.
Keith Dennis, 42, Main Street, Wellsville, was fined $250 and sentenced to 30 days in jail for violation of a protection order, with the jail term to be served at the same time as another case. Dennis violated the terms of a protection order on April 15 by calling a woman from the county jail.
A pretrial was set Aug. 3 for David Vincent, 53, Ambrose Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with assault for allegedly punching another man during an argument May 1 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set July 24 for Leland Wolfe, North Jackson, charged with engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and obstructing official business for allegedly responding to an undercover ad of two females on a known prostitution website, arranging for sexual activity with the two females in exchange for $240 and traveling on May 3 to East Palestine for the meeting. When he was approached by police, he refused to roll down his window completely or exit the vehicle and had to be physically removed.
A preliminary hearing was set May 11 for Joy Conn, 27, Canton, charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, for allegedly being in possession of a stolen vehicle on April 30 in Hanoverton.
A pretrial was set Aug. 3 for Christopher Sanders, 39, Ravenna, charged with engaging in prostitution and engaging in criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad of an adult mother and daughter on a known prostitution website, arranging for sexual activity with the two females in exchange for $100 and traveling on April 30 to East Palestine for the meeting.
Brandon Phillips, 21, South Egypt Road, Salem, was fined $300 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for six days served, for obstructing official business and criminal trespass for entering a vacant residence with a dog on East Fourth Street, Salem on April 28 and failing to obey commands from police after barricading himself in an upstairs bedroom, with police using O.C. spray on him.
A pretrial was set May 11 for Cody Allen Oiler, 26, Grove Alley, East Liverpool, charged with assault for allegedly being the primary aggressor in a fight in East Liverpool on May 4. Bond was set at $7,500 and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
Nathan Elkins, 34, Milbourne, East Liverpool, was fined $300 and sentenced to 20 days in jail for falsification and drug paraphernalia, with the jail time also for violating his probation on a charge of obstructing official business. Elkins possessed a glass vile and plastic bags with residue and gave a different name than his own to police during a traffic stop April 19 in St. Clair Township. Another charge of obstructing official business was dismissed.
Julene Day, 42, South Cross Street, Columbiana, was fined $300 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for attempted drug possession, amended from felony drug abuse. She was ordered to serve 20 hours community service. The charge stemmed from a traffic stop Nov. 5, 2022 in Columbiana.
An extradition hearing was set May 15 for Megan Stepansky, 41, West Pershing Street, Salem, charged with being a fugitive from justice for a felony probation violation in Virginia.
Bryant Allen, 32, Anderson Boulevard, East Liverpool, was fined $700 and sentenced to one day in jail, with credit for one day served, for possession of drug abuse instrument, possession of marijuana, driving under suspension and use of unauthorized plate. Allen possessed a syringe and marijuana during a traffic stop on May 31, 2020 in St. Clair Township.
Jason Joy, 48, state Route 45, Wellsville, was fined $875 and sentenced to 180 days in jail for physical control, amended from operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. His driver's license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted.
Darren Ketchum, 48, state Route 154, Lisbon, was fined $150 for failure to display, amended from driving under suspension.
Nevin Householder, 27, Toronto, was fined $190 for speeding and no license.
Anthony Blancato II, 26, High Street, Leetonia, was fined $150 for speeding.
Robert Bowyer, 54, Moore Road, East Liverpool, was fined $400 for driving under suspension and drug paraphernalia for having a cut plastic straw during a traffic stop on April 23 in St. Clair Township.
Brandon Pullen, 39, Charlotte, N.C., was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle, amended from assured clear distance.
Steven Mango, 34, South Union Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 for reckless operation, amended from fleeing, with a charge of unsafe vehicle dismissed.
Charges of marked lanes, drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana were dismissed against Kathleen Barnes, 35, Dewey Avenue, East Liverpool.
Randy Newberry, 64, Morris Road, Lisbon, was fined $250 for no license and expired registration.
Erica Rohm, 30, Lakemore, was fined $75 for marijuana paraphernalia.
A pretrial was set July 27 for Melinda Sue Schroeder, state Route 170, East Palestine, charged with hit skip/leaving the scene, improper backing, improper/expired registration and two counts driving under suspension.
