LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Joy Conn, 27, Canton, was bound over to the county grand jury for fourth-degree felony receiving stolen property for allegedly possessing a stolen 2007 Mazda 3 at Dollar General on April 30 in Hanoverton. A pretrial was also set Aug. 17 for a charge of possessing marijuana.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set May 18 for Marcie McMannis, 47, Albright Avenue, Columbiana, charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for her possession of drugs and paraphernalia found in her residence during the execution of a search warrant on Jan. 12.
A preliminary hearing was set May 22 for Todd Hawthorne, 40, Garner Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine in the form of a crystal-like substance on a folded playing card during a shakedown inside a pod at the Columbiana County jail on Feb. 15. Hawthorne was an inmate at the jail at the time.
Mark Hudik, 38, Painesville, was fined $450 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit for 10 days served, for engaging in prostitution, possession of criminal tools and drug paraphernalia. He was ordered to forfeit $100 to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. Hudik came to Salem on July 7, 2022 after arranging to have sexual acts with an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent posing as a female in exchange for $100. He also had a cell phone and a small glass pipe in the vehicle.
A domestic violence case filed against Sandra Steiner, 54, Greeley, Pa., in 2011 was dismissed with prejudice due to the age of the case and the state's inability to locate the alleged victim.
William Faulkner, 35, Gromley Road, Salem, was fined $500 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit for one day served, for obstructing justice, criminal trespass, drug abuse instrument and two counts of driving under suspension. Faulkner was accused of attempting to conceal a glass pipe with residue during a traffic stop on Dec. 22, 2022 in Lisbon and trespassing on a McClure Road, Unity Township property in a barn on Jan. 22
A pretrial was set June 27 for Brandon Moore, 19, McKee Road, Wellsville, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly failing to follow commands given by law enforcement officers during a search warrant in Wellsville on May 9.

A pretrial was set May 22 for Bocephus McElroy, 21, Ambrose Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct for allegedly failing to follow commands given by law enforcement officers during a search warrant in Wellsville on May 9. The disorderly charge stemmed from an alleged fighting incident on April 15 in East Liverpool.
Jason Conkle, 44, Hollywood Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 24 days in jail, with credit for 24 days served, for resisting arrest after he failed to comply with police trying to take him into custody on a felony warrant on April 18 in Liverpool Township, resulting in him being tased.
A pretrial was set Aug. 7 for Christian Bell, 27, Youngstown, charged with criminal damaging for allegedly throwing a brick at a vehicle on March 27 in East Liverpool and also using a collapsible wand to strike a window on the vehicle. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
John Castelluci, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $400 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 175 days suspended and credit for one day served, leaving four days to serve, for theft and obstructing official business. He was also ordered to pay restitution of $5.50 to Family Dollar in Salem and complete 20 hours community service. Castelluci was accused of stealing a container of ice cream from Family Dollar in Salem on Feb. 26 and giving a wrong name to police.
A pretrial was set May 22 for Meghan McElroy, 29, Maple Hill Road, Salineville, charged with possession of drug abuse instrument, obstructing official business, use of unauthorized plate and no valid license for allegedly possessing multiple used and clean needles and giving a false name during a traffic stop on May 10 in St. Clair Township.
Joni Lynn McDole, 30, Maplewood Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $200 for marked lanes and drug paraphernalia for possessing a metal pipe during a traffic stop June 16, 2022 in St. Clair Township.
Richard Williams, 36, 15th Street, Wellsville, was fined $250 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 23 days suspended, with credit for seven days served through electronically monitored house arrest, for disorderly conduct, amended from theft. Williams failed to scan and pay for 13 items totaling $77 at the Calcutta Walmart on July 2.
Alexander Baker, 28, Poland, was fined $1,025 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served for a driving intervention program, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense and failure to control. His driver's license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted, and he was ordered to perform 40 hours community service.
Cory Thurston, 19, Woodland Avenue, Columbiana, was fined $1,025 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driving intervention program, for OVI first offense and underage consumption. His driver's license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted, and he was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
William McCoy, 68, Juniper Drive, Columbiana, was fined $700 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for physical control and public indecency. His driver's license was suspended for 180 days, with driving privileges granted, and an order to complete 20 hours community service. McCoy was accused of urinating in a parking lot in Columbiana on May 7.
Aaron Flatinger, 49, Center Road, Homeworth, was fined $875 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI. Charges of speeding and no seat belt were dismissed. His license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted.
A pretrial was set July 25 for Nathan Kaufman, 29, Brooklyn Avenue, Salem, charged with OVI first offense, driving under suspension, no seat belt and no brake light.

Her driver's license was suspended for one year and she was ordered to perform 40 hours community service.
