-- Officers on patrol in the 2800 block of East State Street observed a vehicle parked near the rear of the closed plaza at 9:58 p.m. Thursday. Officers spoke with the occupant who advised he had permission to stay in his vehicle from the property owner and was not doing anything suspicious.
-- Officers responded to the 2100 block of Oak Street at 8:15 p.m. Thursday for a barking dog complaint. The dog was reportedly barking non-stop causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. The dog could be heard barking before even pulling up to the residence. The owner was not home so officers responded to a family member's residence to advise them of the complaint. Officers advised them that due to the ongoing nature of the problem the owner would need to attempt to fix the problem or citations would begin being issued.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 5:50 p.m. Thursday for a report of a man showing up on his property and beginning an argument. The caller advised that he didn't know the individual, but an altercation ensued with the caller punching the individual. Officers attempted to locate and identify the man unsuccessfully.
-- Officers responded to the 800 block of Franklin Avenue at 5:36 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the parties involved and everything was okay.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 5:25 p.m. Thursday for a report of a dog bite. The caller advised that a woman was walking a dog which lunged at him and nipped his leg. Officers made contact with the owner of the dog and advised him of the complaint. Officers advised the owner to quarantine the dog for 10 days. The incident will be forwarded to the health department.
-- Officers responded to the 800 block of South Lundy Avenue at 4:29 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check. Officers made contact with the woman who advised she was fine.
-- Officers spoke with a man at the police department at 3:42 p.m. Thursday for a report of a stolen license plate. The man advised that sometime between March and that day the license plate was stolen off his work truck, possibly while at Home Depot. The plate was entered as stolen.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East Second Street at 3:12 p.m. Thursday for a report of a vehicle sitting in a parking lot for several months. A red warning tag was placed on the vehicle.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of Newgarden Avenue at 2:243 p.m. Thursday for a report of a dispute. A man known to the caller entered the residence uninvited and engaged in a verbal dispute with his separated wife, with whom the individual is still legally married, reportedly with a metal tool in his hand, and accused the wife of going to their residence outside the city and stealing cash, before departing prior to officer's arrival. The caller wanted the incident documented but did not wish to pursue charges at that time. Officers were able to contact the man by phone who said that he did not have a tool in his hand but admitted he had gone to the residence to confront his separated wife about taking a substantial amount of money. Officers advised the man he could be charged with felony burglary for what had occurred at the residence and not to return. Officers furthers advised the man that since they are still legally married matters between them should be handled through their attorneys until a judge designates who owns what property. The wife called back shortly after officers ended the call with the man and advised that the individual had called her and threatened to kill her dog. She did not want to pursue charges at that time but wanted the threat documented.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East Fourth Street with the housing department and zoning officer to check on a complaint from the humane officers that a horse was possibly being kept in a shed. Officers were able to observe there was no horse in any of the sheds, nor evidence that there had been a horse there in the past.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of West Seventh Street at 11:57 p.m. Thursday to assist first responders and EMT with an argumentative patient. Officers were no longer needed when they arrived because the patient had agreed to be transported for treatment.
East Palestine
-- Officers responded at 3:19 p.m. to a report of fraud and identity theft by a woman at West North Avenue on Wednesday. The woman reported her Paypal account was hacked and someone made a purchase at Lowe's in Griffin, Ga.
-- Officers responded at 11:57 a.m. to a welfare check on South Washington Street on Wednesday. Officers spoke to the subject.
-- An officer checked the area of Howell Road at 4:21 a.m. for a series of hang-up 911 calls and found no problems on Tuesday.
-- Officers responded at 6:49 p.m. Covington Nursing Home on Covington Lane in regards to family members wanting information on rights over care over a dementia patient on Tuesday.
-- Officers responded at 7:38 p.m. to East North Avenue for an open 911 call on Monday. Officers located a group of juveniles and one reported they had called 911 on accident.
-- Officers took a report at 12:39 p.m. on Monday from subjects stating that a BB gun was sold to their 15-year-old son by a business in town.
-- Officers responded at 6:18 p.m. to the area of Wood and Liberty streets for reports of a suspicious vehicle. Officers determined the vehicle was part of air-quality monitoring.
-- An officer took a report at 11:28 a.m. of a vehicle window being damaged by a neighbor's lawn mower on Monday at East Highland Avenue.
-- A zoning complaint was received at 10:07 a.m. from a resident on Monday. The report was forwarded to the zoning office.
-- Officers responded at 11:16 a.m. on Monday to North Market Street for a report of a male with his pants down defecating in the municipal building parking lot on Monday. Fransico Rosalas was charged with public indecency and disorderly conduct and Roberto Martinez-Dirnidan was charged with disorderly conduct. Both were transported to the county jail.
-- Officers responded at 3:50 p.m. to the Wheathill Mobile Home Community on Sunday to a report of a domestic disturbance that occurred South Market Street on Sunday.
-- Officers responded at 6:29 p.m. on Sunday to a theft complaint on Park Avenue on Sunday. The matter remains under investigation.
-- Officers spoke to a woman on West Main Street at 9:01 p.m. in regards to a child custody visitation issue on Sunday. Officers advised the female it was a civil matter.
-- Officers responded at 9:51 p.m. on Sunday to a report of suspicious individuals near the park. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.
New Waterford
-- Officers responded at 2:32 p.m. to Church Street regarding a dog complaint on May 6. Officers determined that the dogs did not attack the caller and advised them to take a different route.
-- Officers responded at 11:37 a.m., May 10, to Creek Road for a disturbance involving a female and male yelling. Officers determined that nothing physical had occurred between the two subjects. The female subject left the residence.
Perry Township
-- Officers responded to the area of U.S. Route 62 at 6:31 a.m. Friday for a report of a reckless driver. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a vehicle matching the given description.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of East Pigeon Road at 12:35 a.m. Friday for a report of a wire down in the roadway. Officers requested the fire department responded and it was determined to be a cable line and removed from the roadway.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Country Side Drive at 7:22 p.m. Thursday for a report of a reckless driver. The caller advised she and her husband were leaving a business when another driver cut them off multiple times, followed them home and yelled at them from his car before driving off. Officers advised that if the vehicle was seen again to contact the department.
-- Officers responded to the area of state Route 45 and Depot Road at 6:10 p.m. Thursday for a report of a reckless driver. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 3:35 p.m. Thursday for a report of fraud. The caller advised that she had received a text message claiming her debit card was charged in relation to her blink cameras and when she called the number, she was instructed to purchase several Google play pre-paid cards and give them the codes from the back of the card to settle the debt. Officers informed her that her best course of action would be to dispute the charges with her bank and let them handle it, and that companies do not text when attempting to collect a debt.
-- Officers responded to the 1300 block of West State Street at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a vehicle failing to stop for a school bus and leaving the area. Officers obtained a written statement and description from the driver; however, they were unable to provide a correct license plate. Officers advised an extra watch would be posted in the area and checked the area for the vehicle unsuccessfully.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of Overlook Drive at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a large fire near a residential home. Officers located a man burning trash and a couch, and the fire department arrived to put the fire out. The man was advised of the laws and safety concerns.
-- Officers responded to the 1900 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 8:07 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a board in the road with what appeared to be nails sticking out of it. Officers removed the board from the road.
