LISBON -- An East Palestine man accused of trafficking and possessing methamphetamine in 2021 was served this week with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury.
Lee Givens, 36, East Taggart Street, was charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs, both second-degree felonies, and a misdemeanor charge of illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
The drug charges stemmed from Oct. 21, 2021 when Givens allegedly possessed and prepared for sale an amount of methamphetamine equal or greater than five times the bulk amount, but less than 50 times the bulk amount and possessed drug paraphernalia.
Also served recently with secret indictments were:
-- Brittany Flowers, 33, Carmel Achor Road, Rogers, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Dec. 28, 2022.
-- Julie Lewis, 45, West South Range Road, North Lima, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Oct. 29, 2022.
-- Rick Willis, 33, West Washington Street, Lisbon, possession of fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing fentanyl-related compound on Jan. 21.
-- Terry Sonntag, 48, Etruria Street, East Liverpool, permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly permitting property to be used for trafficking in drugs on April 18, 2022.
