LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Bryan Adams, 27, Kingwood, W.Va., was bound over to the county grand jury on charges of third-degree felony compelling prostitution, fourth-degree felony attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and fifth-degree felonies of possessing criminal tools and importuning for allegedly requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent posing as a 15-year-old female in exchange for $140 and traveling to Salem on July 6 for the meeting.
A case against Richard Nicholson, 43, Connellsville, Pa., was bound over to the county grand jury for a charge of improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, for allegedly having a loaded weapon in his vehicle during a traffic stop on July 7 in Columbiana.
A case against Stacen Young, 34, Ravine Street, East Liverpool, was bound over to the county grand jury for a charge of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. Young allegedly assaulted a woman on July 5 in East Liverpool, grabbing her by the throat and pushing her into the wall, then pushed her back into some boxes.
A preliminary hearing was set July 20 for Jesse Schisler, 38, Franklin Avenue, Salem, charged with burglary, a second-degree felony, for allegedly entering a woman's residence on East Pershing Street on July 11. The victim told police a man she didn't know entered her home. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the East Pershing Street property.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set July 20 for Charles McQuillan, 64, South Main Street, Columbiana, charged with fourth-degree felony assault and misdemeanors of aggravated menacing and resisting arrest for an incident July 4 in Columbiana when he allegedly threatened to shoot the store clerks at the Marathon gas station, refused commands by police to stop and resisted in being handcuffed, and attempted to hit a police officer while being placed in an ambulance. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the Marathon gas station in Columbiana.
A preliminary hearing was set July 20 for Kimberly Allen, 25, Canton, charged with grand theft auto, a fourth-degree felony, for allegedly taking another woman's car without permission in Homeworth on May 18.
A preliminary hearing was set July 20 for Maiko Valoy, 40, Deltona, Fla., charged with third-degree felony compelling prostitution, fourth-degree felony attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and fifth-degree felony possessing criminal tools for allegedly answering an undercover ad posted on a known prostitution website for a 15-year-old female, arranging for sexual conduct with the teen in exchange for money and arriving in East Palestine on July 11 for the meeting.
Neil Barber, 47, West 16th Street, Salem, was fined $400 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for 13 days served, for domestic violence and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Barber threatened a woman with bodily injury by raising a fist at her and then grabbing her and wrestling her to the ground on June 30 in Salem. He also possessed a crystal-like substance in a plastic bag in his jacket pocket.
Daniel Duke, 31, Monaca Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 175 days suspended, leaving five days to serve for child endangering. He was ordered to complete 50 hours community service and a parenting course. Duke was charged after his 5-year-old child was found a half mile from home with two dogs and had to cross main streets by himself on Jan. 4 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Oct. 3 for Kristina Avis, 39, Jefferson Street, Salineville, charged with domestic violence, theft and assault for allegedly striking a person in the head with a metal pot on April 5 in Salineville. She also allegedly failed to scan and pay for 19 items totaling $96 at the Calcutta Walmart on April 6. The assault charge stemmed from Avis punching another woman in the face on Jan. 4 in Salineville.
Mark Foden, 53, Erie Street, East Liverpool, was fined $700 and sentenced to 60 days in jail, with credit for 17 days served, for two counts of theft and a driving under suspension count. Foden failed to scan and pay for six items totaling $136 from the Calcutta Walmart on June 23 and for 66 items totaling $851 also from Calcutta Walmart on May 26.
Tonia Culbertson, 54, Cusick Road, Lisbon, was fined $250 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for theft for stealing 20 12-packs of pop at Family Dollar in Lisbon on March 3. She was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and pay $85 to Family Dollar.
Addison Sebastian, 24, Shelbyville, Ind., was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail for theft for failing to scan and pay for 81 items between Jan 31 and March 21 this year when she was working at the Calcutta Walmart.
A pretrial was set Oct. 10 for Britney Carrillo, 33, Alliance Salem Road, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly striking a man in the face during an argument June 24 in Salem.
A pretrial was set for Oct. 12 for Jeffrey D. Smith, 47, Hermitage, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and drug paraphernalia for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for money and cocaine. He arrived in East Palestine on July 10 for the meeting.
A pretrial was set Sept. 21 for Allen Smith, 66, Amarillo, Negley, charged with menacing for allegedly making threatening statements to a woman on Feb. 12 in East Palestine.
A pretrial was set Oct. 10 for John Detchon, 70, Waddell Street, Leetonia, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly telling police several times that Megan Detchon was not home on June 27 in Leetonia when officers found her hiding behind the furnace in the basement. She was wanted on a warrant by Boardman police.

A pretrial was set July 24 for Jonathon Lagone, 21, Ohio Avenue, Salem, charged with violating a protection order for allegedly being involved in a domestic dispute with a woman who had a protection order against him on July 12 in Salem.
A pretrial was set Sept. 21 for Joseph Best, 41, Lincoln Avenue, East Palestine, charged with theft and obstructing official business for allegedly taking a package that belonged to a neighbor on July 12 and then withholding information from police involving another person's involvement in the theft.
A pretrial was set Oct. 5 for Casey W. Cline, 47, South Mahoning Avenue, Alliance, charged with two counts of theft for allegedly stealing a chipper shredder from Tractor Supply in Salem on July 4 and allegedly stealing a generator from True Value in Salem on June 23.
Sentencing was set Aug. 1 for Richard E. Richards, 49, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, who pleaded guilty to theft for stealing a can of beer and sticking it down his pants at Smith Oil gas station in Lisbon on July 11.
Leonard Coursin, 71, Henry Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $100 and sentenced to one day in jail, with credit for one day served, for criminal trespass for off loading an appliance after hours on Henry Avenue at a condemned residence.
Corey Welsh, 28, Chamberlain Street, Negley, was fined $950 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, no seat belt and improper/expired registration. His driver's license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted. Welsh was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. He was also fined $300 for possessing marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
Alex O'Rourke, 23, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, was fined $300 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for reckless operation, amended from OVI, and left of center. His driver's license was suspended for 180 days and he was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
A pretrial was set Oct. 17 for Nicholas Ponamar, 21, Beaver Creek Road, Salem, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and failure to yield.
A pretrial was set Sept. 26 for Hanna Dickey-Meeks, 30, Dome Street, East Liverpool, charged with maximum permissible height of weeds for allegedly having grass and weeds more than 2 feet in height on parcels on Orchard Grove Avenue, East Liverpool on June 14 in violation of city housing code.
A pretrial was set Oct. 5 for Abby Willis, 29, Vine Street, East Liverpool, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension for allegedly possessing a rolled up dollar bill with residue used to snort drugs on July 12 in Columbiana during a traffic stop.
A pretrial was set Oct. 5 for Merle Schreffler, 47, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.
John Weaver, 48, Chester, W.Va., was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Dewayne Toothman, 40, Sixth Street, Wellsville, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
