--Officers located a juvenile out past curfew in the area of Maple Street and Jefferson Avenue at 12:25 a.m. Tuesday. Officers returned the juvenile to their residence and advised the mother of the situation and outcomes if this becomes a persistent issue.
--Officers on patrol in the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 7:56 p.m. Monday located two loose dogs. Officers were able to locate the owner who obtained the dogs.
--Officers spoke to a woman by phone at 5:36 p.m. Monday for a report that a white truck had followed her from the Walmart parking lot onto state Route 14 towards Washingtonville, and driving recklessly, nearly causing her to crash.
--Officers responded to the 2000 block of Pearce Circle at 5:22 p.m. Monday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that 3 unknown men in a gray vehicle had driven past his home and thrown a firework out of the vehicle while he was outside, and that he wanted the incident documented. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.
--Jose Diaz, Salem, was cited for a red-light violation after his westbound vehicle on East State Street at 3:31 p.m. Monday failed to stop at a red light and struck a vehicle driven southbound on Roosevelt Avenue by Forrest Browning, Salem. Browning was transported to Saint Elizabeth's Hospital by EMT, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
--Officers spoke to a juvenile at the police department at 2:04 p.m. Monday who advised his mother has been acting erratically and that she had tried to hit him with a paddle. Officers didn't observe any visible injuries to the juvenile. The mother responded to the police department and took the juvenile with her.
--Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 11:17 a.m. Monday for a report of a juvenile that had been reported as a runaway the night prior. Officers transported the juvenile to the police department and the mother took custody of the daughter. Officers later responded to the 700 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 12:27 p.m. Monday for a report of the juvenile getting into an argument with the mother and throwing rocks at her and her infant child before fleeing the residence northbound on North Ellsworth Avenue. Officers were advised that the juvenile was at a residence in the 1200 block, and spoke with the juvenile, whose name was not listed, and subsequently took them into custody and transported them to the Tobin center. Officers took a written statement along with photos, and the incident will be forwarded to the juvenile court and children's services.
--Officers responded to the 500 block of East Second Street at 11:06 a.m. Monday for a report of a woman who wanted to go to the hospital to speak with a doctor for suicidal thoughts. Officers stood by until the woman was escorted to the ambulance.
--Officers responded to the 500 block of East Perry Street at 10:41 a.m. Monday for a reported verbal dispute. Officers spoke with a woman who advised it was just a verbal argument between her and her boyfriend over their vehicle which broke down. The woman was leaving to take her kids to the park for a while.
