— Officers responded to the 200 block of Ohio Avenue at 12:57 p.m. Tuesday for a neighbor dispute. The caller advised that her son went next door due to her neighbor saying it was fine for him to be there, and that it had upset her. Officers advised her to contact officers so the matter can be handled properly instead of causing an issue with the neighbor in the future.

— Officers responded to the area of North Union Avenue and East State Street at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday for a wellness check on a woman allegedly falling over while walking. Officers spoke with the woman who advised she had just been discharged from the hospital and was trying to get home to Lisbon, but did not have a ride nor any way to contact a ride. Officers assisted her in obtaining transportation to Lisbon.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a suspicious person. Officers located the man in question lying down on the ground in the back parking lot. The man advised that he was just taking a break from working out and was fine.

— Officers spoke with a woman at the police department at 11:36 a.m. Tuesday about an incident that occurred at her prior place of residence. She advised that she had just moved, and while in the process, her neighbor took photos of her children doing something outside of the previous residence, and she was concerned and wanted officers to speak with her. Officers advised they would follow up with the neighbor.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Bentley Drive at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that the neighbor behind him is making noise at all hours of the day and night. Officers spoke with the neighbor who advised they would try to keep the noise down.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of East State Street at 6 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a suspicious person walking in the alleys with a box on his shoulder. Officers spoke with the man, who advised he was walking to a nearby residence.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Fourth Street at 4:39 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a person with a knife. Officers determined that there were no threats made toward any parties involved and that an argument had gotten emotional, hence the knife being involved. None of the parties had any intention of harming one another and the person who was primarily in question was advised to leave the property and not return or charges would be filed.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday for a speak with officer report. The caller and his girlfriend advised that a man who is not supposed to be contacting them had just done so by phone. Officers attempted contact but he was not there. They were advised to call back if the man continued contacting them.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of East Fifth Street at 1:01 a.m. Tuesday for a noise complaint. The caller advised that a man and woman were removing the plow from a vehicle and were being loud. Officers spoke with them about the issue, and they advised they were already done.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Barclay Avenue at 12:37 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a person having a potential mental health crisis. Officers spoke with the person in question and the fire department and EMT responded to assess the person. The person was transported to Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown for further evaluation.

— Officers assisted Ohio State Highway Patrol in conducting a breath test at a police department at 10:50 p.m. Monday. Officers stood by until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the area of Franklin and Chestnut at 9:56 p.m. Monday to assist Leetonia Officers with a pursuit of two motorcycles. Leetonia officers were able to stop one of the motorcycles outside of city limits, but the other had fled coming into city limits. Officers located the bike on Franklin and attempted to initiate a stop, but the driver fled. Officers pursued the motorcycle, but due to unsafe speeds and the bike leaving the city limit officers ultimately terminated the pursuit. Officers were unable to obtain a plate for the bike that was pursued.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 9:01 p.m. Monday for a report of an irate person. The caller advised his next door neighbor was screaming at him and he just wanted her to leave him alone. Officers spoke with the neighbor, who officers were aware deals with mental issues. She was advised to leave the caller alone.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Rose Avenue at 8:05 p.m. Monday for a reported neighbor dispute. Officers were advised that the parties involved got into a verbal dispute and that it is an ongoing issue. Officers spoke with all parties involved, advising them to remain separated for the evening.

— Officers responded to the area of Centennial Drive and East Pershing Street at 7:31 p.m. Monday for a report of theft involving two juveniles. It was reported that a female juvenile had stolen $20 in cash from a male juvenile’s pocket. The officer obtained the money and returned it to the male juvenile’s guardian. The guardian wanted nothing further done since the money had been returned.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of Sunset Boulevard at 7:26 p.m. Monday for a report of a dog left inside a vehicle with the window’s rolled up. Officers found the vehicle in question and advised the owner of the complaint, which he resolved.

— Officers responded to the area of Jennings Avenue and West State Street at 6:54 p.m. Monday for a report of a reckless operator. The caller advised that a vehicle was seen driving recklessly, and in the process swerved into the caller’s yard. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate it.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Rose Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Monday for a reported dispute where it was advised the male half had multiple credit cards belonging to the female half and wouldn’t return them. Officers spoke with the man who advised he didn’t have her cards. Officers provided the caller with her options for handling the issue.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Rose Avenue at 6:06 p.m. Monday for a reported domestic dispute. The caller advised that a female household member was throwing his property outside. Officers spoke with both parties involved and found the incident to be verbal in nature only. Officers advised both parties to remain separated for the evening.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of West Fourth Street at 4:43 p.m. Monday for a neighbor dispute. The caller advised her neighbor’s dog is always in their yard. Officers spoke with the owner, advising them of the city’s leash laws. The owner advised the issue wouldn’t happen again.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Fairview Avenue at 4:10 p.m. Monday for a report of a downed power line. Officers determined it to be a cable line and the fire department responded to the scene to move the line.
