LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Sept. 25 for Amber Padula, 40, West State Street, Salem, charged with fourth-degree felony assault of an officer and misdemeanor resisting arrest for allegedly fighting police while they were attempting to arrest her, striking an officer while being told to calm down during an incident Sept. 17 in Salem.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Sept. 25 for Jerrid Kotsch, 37, Elkton Road, Lisbon, charged with third-degree felony having weapons under disability and misdemeanors of falsification, possession of drug abuse instrument and drug paraphernalia. Kotsch was being detained as a fugitive from justice and had a loaded firearm in a bag of clothing in the back of the truck in which he was a passenger on Sept. 17. He also possessed drug paraphernalia, multiple hypodermic needles and used someone else’s driver’s license when asked for ID.
A preliminary hearing was set Sept. 25 for Jason Scott Ryhal, 39, Jimtown Road, East Palestine, charged with fourth-degree felony domestic violence for allegedly slamming a woman to the ground, slamming her head off of the ground, and strangling her on Sept. 15 in East Liverpool.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Sept. 25 for Kristy Weber, 44, East Washington Street, Lisbon, charged with fourth-degree felonies of burglary an and theft and misdemeanor criminal endangerment for allegedly stealing an elderly man’s lawnmower and damaging it in Lisbon on Sept. 15 after breaking into his property.
Guy Sutton, 50, Hobart, Ind., was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly answering an ad on a known prostitution website of a female and arranging for sexual activity with the female in exchange for $180. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course.
A pretrial was set Oct. 2 for Andrew Culp, 34, West Washington Street, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence, obstructing official business and marijuana paraphernalia for allegedly shoving a woman through the front doorway of the Lisbon residence, then barricading himself inside and failing to follow police commands on Sept. 17. He also possessed a marijuana smoking device.
A pretrial was set Dec. 11 for David R. Jones, 57, Jones Drive, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly grabbing a woman’s arm in an altercation over car keys on Sept. 9 in Salem.
A pretrial was set Oct. 30 for Lewis Miller, 35, state Route 45, Lisbon, charged with having weapons while intoxicated and aggravated menacing for allegedly shooting a rifle towards a neighbor’s property into the pond where they were fishing while allegedly intoxicated June 10, on state Route 45, Lisbon.
A pretrial was set Sept. 25 for Cody Lee Jones, 33, Mill Street, Salineville, charged with no valid license, operating an all-purpose vehicle on a roadway and disorderly conduct. The disorderly charge stemmed from Sept. 17 in Salineville when he was yelling at juveniles when they were walking home and was intoxicated, yelling near the woods at neighbors. The other charge was from riding an ATV on the road in Salineville in August.
Kirby Freed, 36, Hadley Road, East Palestine, was fined $300 and sentenced to one day in jail, with credit for one day served, for drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. The charges stemmed from a March 24, 2022 incident at the Hadley Road residence when Freed possessed metal straws used for ingesting drugs and continued to be aggressive and yelling after being warned by police to calm down.
Hannah Noelle Altman, 24, Signal Road, Columbiana, was fined $300 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and possessing marijuana. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Altman was found sleeping in a vehicle at Franklin Square Cemetery, Salem Township, and became uncooperative and resisted arrest on April 7.
James Dyke, 31, Globe Street, East Liverpool, was fined $200 for disorderly conduct for allegedly breaking items and screaming at females while intoxicated on Sept. 15 in East Liverpool.
Ryan Pritt, 41, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, was fined $750 for possessing marijuana, failure to confine dog, no license, use of unauthorized plate and driving under suspension. The dog charge stemmed from April 25 in East Liverpool. In a case of receiving stolen property, Pritt’s defense attorney was granted withdrawal from the case due to a conflict, with the case still pending.
Reva McCullough, 32, Midland, Pa., was fined $300 sentenced to 20 days in jail, with credit for 20 days served, for theft and criminal trespass for failing to scan and pay for one item valued at $168 at the Calcutta Walmart on May 26 after previously being trespassed from the store.
A charge of unclean habitation was dismissed against Wilbert Faulk Jr., 38, Church Street, Salineville, at the request of the prosecutor. Faulk was accused of leaving couches and miscellaneous trash in front of a Salineville residence on Oct.13, 2021 and trash and tires on April 18, 2022 in Salineville.
Chris Shutack, 48, Columbiana Waterford Road, Columbiana, was fined $1,075 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving under suspension and a turn signal violation. His driver’s license was suspended to one year with driving privileges granted. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
Carl Zents, 37, Signal Road, Columbiana, was fined $825 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended, leaving three days to serve for OVI, reasonable control, possessing marijuana and driving under suspension. His driver’s license was suspended to two years, with driving privileges granted. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
James Hamilton, 58, Leetonia Road, Leetonia, was fined $200 for reckless operation and marked lanes.
Allison Felger, 50, Poland, was fined $75 for equipment violation, amended from speeding.
Matthew Fisher, 40, Canton, was fined $25 for unsafe vehicle, amended from speeding, with a charge of driving under suspension dismissed.
A pretrial was set Jan. 4 for Dustin Wells, 31, Riffle Road, Lisbon, charged with court-ordered suspension.
A pretrial was set Dec. 7 for Tori Lynn Earich, 30, Woodland Avenue, Salem, charged with speeding.
A pretrial was set Dec. 5 for Randy Reynolds, 43, Louise Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with reckless operation.
A pretrial was set Dec. 5 for Noah Beal, 28, Rauch Road, East Palestine, charged with speeding.
