-- Officers responded to the 900 block of Vine Avenue at 1:58 a.m. Monday for a report of a suspicious person. The caller advised that a man wearing a dark hoodie and shorts walked up to a vacant residence and took mail. Officers located a man matching the description in the area of East State Street and Rose Avenue, but he had no mail on his person. Officers were unable to locate the person in question.
-- Officers responded to the 1900 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 12:07 a.m. Monday to assist Perry Township Officers with a building search. Officers searched the interior with no further incident.
-- Officers responded to the 2700 block of East State Street at 12:03 a.m. Monday for a wellness check on a man who was reported to have entered a gas station acting strangely. The caller advised the man was bumping into the product towers and was moving very slowly. The caller advised the person then got into a vehicle and left. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of Newgarden Avenue at 11:26 p.m. Saturday for a report of a suspicious person. The caller advised that she was lying in bed when a person known to her had come up to her bedroom window and was acting suspiciously. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate them.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of East Pershing Street at 7:47 p.m. Saturday for a report of dogs at large. The caller advised the dogs were within their fenced yard, and the humane agent was contacted to come and retrieve the dogs.
-- Officers were advised a woman from a prior incident had just left the residence while intoxicated. While on scene officers observed the woman to be intoxicated and admitted to being intoxicated. Officers observed the woman, Denise Glancy, 57, East Liverpool, driving southbound on South Lincoln Avenue at 6:54 p.m. Sunday and conducted a traffic stop. A field sobriety test was administered and Glancy was taken into custody for OVI and transported to the police department for breath testing and processing. Once completed Glancy was released to a sober driver.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 6:09 p.m. Sunday for a report of a person to be removed. Officers removed the person, whose name was not listed, and recovered contraband in plain view. A consent search of the residence was done, and the contraband was removed. The caller did not ultimately want the person to be removed.
-- Officers on patrol took a theft report in the 200 block of Continental Drive at 3:03 p.m. Sunday. A resident of a facility reported a small amount of cash missing from her lock box.
-- Officers checked the area of a business in the 100 block of Vine Avenue at 2:22 p.m. Sunday for a report of suspicious activity. Nothing abnormal was observed.
-- Officers spoke to a person at the police department with an active warrant, whose name was not listed, wanting to turn themselves in at 1:51 p.m. Sunday. The warrant was out of the Portage County Sheriff's Office. who advised they would not come pick the person up. Officers advised the person to turn themselves in to Portage County directly.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of East Third Street at 1:41 p.m. Sunday for a reported dispute. Officers located the person from an earlier theft call being stopped by the original caller. Officers spoke to the man, Jarrod Westover, 23, who admitted to stealing the bicycle from the prior incident and took him into custody for theft. Incident to Westover's arrest, officers located suspected narcotics in his possession, and Westover was subsequently charged with drug paraphernalia. Westover was transported to the police department for processing before transport to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 11:54 p.m. Sunday for a report of theft. The man advised a person had taken his son's bicycle without his knowledge or permission. The caller was able to provide officers with video footage of the person in question. Officers will attempt to locate the person.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Continental Drive at 11:40 a.m. Sunday for a report of individuals banging on apartment doors and windows and running away. Two tenants advised this occurs at all hours of the day and night and has been going on for the last several weeks. An extra patrol request was added.
-- Officers responded to the 1000 block of West State Street at 3:19 a.m. Sunday to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a traffic investigation. The juvenile driver was taken into custody and transported to the police department for a breath test.
-- Officers on patrol on South Union Avenue at 2:39 a.m. Sunday observed Ohio State Highway Patrol attempting to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle had been eastbound on East Pershing Street before making a rapid turn onto South Union with the patrol unit in pursuit. When the vehicle pulled over near Oak Street officers responded to assist and stood by while the trooper administered field sobriety tests to the driver, whose name was not listed, and issued a citation for the initial traffic violation.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of Maple Street at 12:01 a.m. Sunday for a possible domestic heard in the background of a 911 call. Officers found the matter to be a verbal argument and both parties were separated for the evening.
-- Officers responded to the area of West Sixth Street at 10:13 p.m. Saturday for a fireworks complaint. While searching the area the person stopped setting off the fireworks.
-- Officers responded to Centennial Park at 9:03 p.m. Saturday for a reported dispute. Officers were advised that a man approached a couple after the other man was said to have allegedly grabbed the woman. Officers searched the area for some time after being given the possible direction of travel but were unable to locate them.
-- Officers responded to Waterworth Memorial Park at 8:16 p.m. Saturday for a report of animal abuse. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the person in question.
PERRY TOWNSHIP
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Old Coach Lane at 3:41 p.m. Sunday for a report of a dog that had been outside barking all day. The caller advised they want officers to check on the homeowner to ensure everything was okay. Officers were unable to contact the homeowner but did speak to a neighbor who said they were out of town and he was watching the dogs for them.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Conser Drive at 5:37 a.m. Sunday for a medical call. The fire department and EMT arrived on scene and transported the man to the hospital.
-- Officers assisted Ohio State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop at 3:24 a.m. Sunday which resulted in one man, whose name was not listed, taken into custody.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 9:08 p.m. Saturday for a noise complaint. The caller advised she could hear yelling and doors being slammed at the apartment next to hers. Officers spoke with the man and woman about yelling and both advised it was just an argument and nothing physical had occurred. Officers advised them to keep it down for the night.

The caller advised that his dog kept barking at something outside that sounded like someone trying to get into his garage. Officers searched around the house but were unable to locate anyone. Officers advised the caller to contact them if they heard the noise again.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Jennings Avenue at 3:12 p.m. to assist Goshen officers in notifying a person at the residence their brother had been released from jail.
-- Officers responded to the 1900 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 11:19 p.m. Friday for a report of a reckless driver. Officers conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver who advised everything was okay.
-- Officers responded to the 1000 block of Benton Road at 9:25 p.m. Friday to assist the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office in serving a felony arrest warrant. Anna Greeneisen, 41, Salem, was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- Officers responded to the 1400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 6:06 p.m. Friday to assist Salem officers in locating a vehicle that went off the roadway and took out a mailbox and caused damage to several other lawns and driveways. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at 2:50 p.m. Friday for a complaint against a co-worker who was screaming at her and hitting her car with her fist, causing minor damage to the vehicle. Officers informed her that they would investigate the matter and had her fill out a statement. Officers documented the damage with pictures and will investigate further.
-- Officers responded to Circle K at 10:45 p.m. Thursday for a report of an intoxicated woman in the parking lot. Officers arrived and could not locate the woman in question in the parking lot or store. Officers checked the surrounding area but were unable to locate them.
-- Officers searched the area for a report of a man wearing all black riding a bicycle and possibly being intoxicated. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate them.
-- Officers responded to the 800 block of Stewart Road at 9:34 p.m. Thursday for a reported domestic. Officers found the male half, David Collins, 52, Salem, had assaulted his girlfriend. Officers observed physical marking around the woman's throat and on her hand. Collins was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Benton Road at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday for a report of unemployment fraud. The caller advised that an unemployment claim was filed at a business she never worked at. Officers advised her of the procedure to file the proper documentation and the appropriate agencies to contact, and that a report would be on file.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East Pine Lake Road at 3:13 a.m. Wednesday for a report of telecommunications harassment. All parties were advised to cease all communication.
-- Officers responded to the Brookdale Senior Living Facility at 6:51 p.m. Sept. 5 for a report of an elderly woman who had locked herself in her son's car and would not get out. Officers as well as EMT and Salem officers spoke with the woman until she agreed to leave the vehicle and enter the facility.
-- Officers responded to the area of the U.S. Route 62 four lane at 5:20 p.m. Sept. 5 for a report of a motorcycle operating recklessly. Officers patrolled the area but were unable to locate any vehicles matching the description.
-- Officers responded to U.S. Route 62 at 12:57 a.m. Sept. 5 for a report of a reckless operator. Officers located the vehicle and observed no traffic infractions while following the vehicle.
LISBON
-- At 12:30 a.m. Sept. 6, an officer patrolling on Lions Club Road came upon a white Dodge pickup parked in the parking lot, finding a man sleeping in the truck. When the officer woke him up, the man said everything was okay and he pulled over to sleep because he couldn't stay between the lines anymore. There were no signs of alcohol or narcotics impairment.
-- Officers responded to Days Inn, state Route 154, at 9:34 a.m. Sept. 5 to speak with a female. Staff had issues with her the night before and wanted to make sure she was aware of the noon checkout time. Officers advised her and were called back out to the hotel at 12:01 p.m. because she had not checked out. She wanted to go to a hospital, packed her belongings and was transported by EMS to Salem Regional Medical Center.
-- A dog was reported running loose on Green Tree Place at 4:55 a.m. Sept. 5. Officers found the dog and returned it to its rightful owner, advising the owner of the ordinance pertaining to dogs running loose and that a citation would be issued if police had to return.
-- Officers responded at 3:24 p.m. Sept. 7 to East Pine Street where a woman said the male half won't let her have her belongings or meds. After officers arrived, he advised she could get her belongings.
-- A caller at 3:58 p.m. Sept. 3 reported a person walking in and out of traffic near Smith Oil on Lincoln Way, but no one could be found.
-- A resident of Applegrove apartments reported at 4:53 a.m. Sept. 1 that he heard someone next door to him or someone trying to get into the apartment. He said the apartment next door had been empty. Police found the doors and windows locked and the apartment in question empty.
-- A caller at 6:59 p.m. Aug. 27 reported a male and female fighting in the front lawn on Chestnut Street with a large group of children watching, but no one was found.
-- Police were called at 6:20 a.m. Aug. 21 to Circle K, North Market Street, for a man asleep in his vehicle. He told police he had just worked a 16-hour shift and must have dozed off when he arrived at the store. He denied taking any drugs or drinking alcohol and no signs of impairment were found.

-- Officers responded at 11:50 p.m. to West Martin Street to a report of a suspicious person in the area on Saturday. The subject was not located.
-- Officers responded at 8:42 p.m. to East Grant Street to a report of a male looking into car windows with a flashlight on Saturday. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
-- Officers provided a resident at 6:08 p.m. on Saturday information about text message harassment.
-- Officers responded at 3:44 p.m. to Park Drive to a report of a verbal dispute. The dispute was resolved on scene.
-- Officers made contact with a photographer who was on the tracks near Pizza Joe's on West Clark Street on Saturday. The subject was advised to leave, which they did.
-- Officers responded at 3:09 p.m. to West Clark Street to a report of a man at a residence attempting to gain information from a resident about her electric bill on Friday. The subject could not be located.

-- Officers took a complaint at 7:06 p.m. Sept. 4 from a woman who reported that a relative had started a GoFundMe page for her child's medical condition but did not give her the donations received. The matter is under investigation.
