LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set Oct. 23 for Trenton Gill, 20, New Cumberland, W.Va., charged with fifth-degree felony failure to stop after accident with serious physical harm for allegedly striking another vehicle head on causing serious physical harm then fleeing the scene May 6 in Madison Township on state Route 45. He was also fined $450 for loud exhaust, two counts speeding and two counts driving under suspension.
A preliminary hearing was set Oct. 23 for Rico Terrell, 49, Cincinnati, charged with fourth-degree felony promote prostitution-supervise/manage prostitution for allegedly being involved in a sex-for-hire meeting in East Palestine on Oct. 14.
A pretrial was set Oct. 26 for Kaitlin Hagedorn, 22, Cincinnati, charged with possessing criminal tools and soliciting for allegedly offering sex for hire, arranging to meet with an undercover officer for sexual activity in exchange for $500 and arriving in East Palestine for the meeting Oct. 14.
Jason Brick, 41, Struthers, was fined $500 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for possessing criminal tools and disorderly conduct, amended from engaging in prostitution. He was ordered to forfeit $200 seized by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and a 12-hour online prostitution prevention course. Brick was accused of requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $200 and arrived in Salem on June 18 for the meeting.
A court trial was set Jan. 4, with a status hearing Dec. 28, for Troy Oyer, 30, Rochester Road, Minerva, charged with domestic violence for allegedly grabbing a woman and dragging her down steps on Aug. 4 in West Township.
A pretrial was set Oct. 30 for Johnathan Rodriguez, 34, Bronx, N.Y., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $140, arriving in East Palestine on Oct. 13 for the meeting.
A charge of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles was dismissed against Gregory Kiger, 25, Prospect Street, East Liverpool, at the request of the prosecution due to insufficient evidence. Kiger had been accused of allegedly displaying a banner with obscene material on the front of his residence on May 3 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Oct. 30 for Elizabeth Greathouse, 28, Steubenville, charged with violate temporary protection order for allegedly violating a temporary protection order by making contact with a woman as she was walking her children in Wellsville on July 23.
Joshua Knight, 22, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for assault, amended from domestic violence, for striking a man in the side of the head during a domestic in East Liverpool on May 18, 2022. He was also ordered to pay $60 to the victim. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
Cortini Rankin, 33, Washington Street, Leetonia, was fined $400 and sentenced to 21 days in jail, with four days suspended, for drug paraphernalia and two counts obstructing official business for refusing to turn over a cell phone being seized through a search warrant and repeatedly pulling away from officers on Dec. 3, 2022 in East Palestine.
William Long, 48, Globe Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended and credit for one day served, for disorderly conduct, amended from assault. He was also ordered to complete 30 hours community service and have no contact with the victim. Long was accused of assaulting a man at the Fireside Lake Campground on April 9 in East Rochester.
Crystal Hoskinson, 32, North Lundy Avenue, Salem, was fined $250 and sentenced to three days in jail, with credit for three days served, for obstructing official business and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia for failing to follow commands of police executing a search warrant at an East Palestine residence on July 6 and possessing a smoking bowl with marijuana residue on Aug. 27 during a traffic stop on state Route 14, Salem.
A pretrial was set Jan. 4 for Devon Lockhart, 21, Etruria Street, East Liverpool, charged with criminal mischief for allegedly pulling a rain gutter off of an East Liverpool property while intoxicated on Oct. 15 and throwing plants on the ground, damaging them. He was also fined $200 for open container and disorderly conduct for being public intoxicated in East Liverpool on Oct. 15.
A pretrial was set Oct. 19 for Jesse Williams, 30, East Third Street, Salem, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs second offense, driving under suspension, assured clear distance and endangering children while operating a vehicle for allegedly being impaired with a 16-year-old juvenile in the vehicle on Oct. 13 in Salem.
A pretrial was set Dec. 21 for Kathryn Defense, 69, Depot Road, Salem, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and tail lights.
Cody Cope, 20, Smith Road, Kensington, was fined $875 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served for a driver intervention program for OVI. A charge of failure to control was dismissed. His driver's license was suspended for year, with driving privileges granted. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
Jarell Washington, 35, Youngstown was fined $200 and sentenced to 18 days in jail, with credit for 18 days served, for drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and expired license.
Randolph Gum, 60, Newell, W.Va., was fined $100 and sentenced to three days in jail for criminal trespass for refusing to leave East Liverpool City Hospital after discharged on Oct. 16, with police having to respond to remove him.
A pretrial was set Jan. 25 for Benjamin Wallace, 36, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, charged with driving under suspension.
Randall Fegert, 26, Liberty Street, Salem, was fined $150 for speeding.
A court trial was set Jan. 8 for Lawrence Nardini, 57, St. George Street, East Liverpool, charged with possessing instruments to ingest for allegedly possession of drug paraphernalia on June 29.
A pretrial was set Jan. 25 for Alexandria Burke, 26, Aliquippa, Pa., charged with marked lanes.
William Visnic, 61, Weirton, W.Va., was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from speeding.
Douglas Flick, 56, Cannons Mill Road, East Liverpool, was fined $195 for speeding and no license, suspended from driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set Jan. 9 for Devon VanPelt, 23, Germantown Road, Columbiana, charged with speeding and no seat belt.
