-- Officers responded to the 800 block of Washington Avenue at 1:25 a.m. Monday for a reported domestic dispute. The caller advised that her sister and her boyfriend had been fighting and it was starting to get physical. Officers spoke with the woman, observing visible bruising, blood and torn clothing. Officers separated both parties observing some signs of assault on the male party. Officers determined both were juveniles and the female's mother was present and did not want to pursue charges. She agreed to drive the male party home to Minerva and was advised to notify the guardians of the male to contact the police department.
-- Officers responded to the area of West Third Street at 10:11 p.m. Sunday for a report of a vehicle with loud exhaust. Contact was made with occupants of the vehicle who were trying to push the vehicle up West Third Street to get it off the roadway after it became disabled. The vehicle was coasted down the hill and into the parking lot of Lincoln Machine for the evening. The owner was advised to get the vehicle out first thing in the morning and to contact the business if he couldn't to let them know. Officers provided the occupants with a ride to their home.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of East Third Street at 8:06 p.m. Sunday for a runaway juvenile complaint. The caller advised that her son had left the house without her permission and would not advise her where he went. Officers had the mother fill out a missing person form and the juvenile was entered into LEADS. Officers were able to locate the juvenile a short while later at a friend's house and brought the juvenile back home, and the juvenile was removed from LEADS.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of Woodland Avenue at 5:35 p.m. Sunday for a reported domestic dispute. Officers spoke with a man with a language barrier, who advised that he and his wife had a verbal altercation prior to the officers' arrival. It was determined with the assistance of an interpreter that the couple had been arguing but nothing physical had occurred.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 4:10 p.m. Sunday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers spoke with the involved parties placing a 15-year-old juvenile male from Salem in custody for domestic violence. The juvenile was transported to the police department for processing and then transported to the Tobin Center.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 3:30 p.m. Sunday for a report of a runaway juvenile. Officers checked the area locating the juvenile in the 400 block of East Sixth Street, and the caller was notified to pick the juvenile up.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 3:20 p.m. Sunday for a report of internet harassment. The woman advised her juvenile daughter was being threatened by another juvenile who lives in Pennsylvania via text messages. The caller was advised of her options and the protection order process.
-- Officers spoke with a woman at the police department at 2:29 p.m. Sunday about issues she was having with her juvenile son. Officers spoke with the caller, and she was provided with some options for dealing with the situation.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of East State Street at 12:11 p.m. Sunday for a report of internet harassment. The caller advised they had been receiving unwanted contact from a person known to him. The caller was provided with options for dealing with the situation.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Woodland Avenue at 10:58 a.m. Sunday for a reported domestic dispute. Officers spoke with both parties who advised the incident was verbal in nature only over relationship issues. The female half left the resident to go to work and the male half was unsure whether he was going to stay at the residence or get a hotel room for the night,
-- Officers on patrol in the 100 block of South Broadway Avenue at 2:38 a.m. Sunday observed a man screaming and hitting property in the area. Officers spoke with the man, issuing him a warning for disorderly conduct and advising him to go home without further incident or he would be arrested.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of East Pershing Street at 12:14 a.m. Sunday for a report of criminal damage. Officers found someone had egged a car as it was driving on the roadway. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anyone in the area.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of Morris Avenue at 8:36 p.m. Saturday for a report of an unwanted person. When officers arrived, the female party had already left the residence. The owners of the property requested the woman be trespassed and officers located the woman at her residence in the 100 block of Highland Avenue. The woman was issued a criminal trespass notice.
-- Officers responded to the Flying Pig at 7:28 p.m. Saturday for a report of a dispute between a man and woman inside the establishment. Officers spoke with both parties and the male half was immediately detained after placing his hands out and advising officers to take him to jail. During the investigation the man and woman were found to be husband and wife and no physical violence had occurred between them. Personnel requested the man be issued a trespass warning no to return the property. The male half, Nicholad Sloan, 42, Cleveland, was found to have multiple felony warrants for contempt of court out of Lorain County. Lorain County confirmed the warrants and advised they would extradite. Sloan was placed into custody and transported to the police department for processing. At the police department Sloan signed the trespass warning and a rule-four extradition form and then transported them to the Columbiana County Jail to await extradition back to Lorain County.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:10 p.m. Saturday for a report of criminal trespassing and criminal damaging. The caller advised that he believed someone known to him had entered his residence without his permission and taken his cat and had damaged a window on his residence as well as his work vehicle. Officers will attempt to review video systems from the area to see if the person can be identified.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 11:01 a.m. Saturday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers found the female party outside the house with the male half standing in the doorway to the house. The female party advised a physical altercation had occurred; officers did not observe any marks on the woman that would indicate a physical altercation at the time of the report. Officers photographed the areas that the woman advised were hurt. Officers obtained a written statement from both parties and advised the matter would be sent for review.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Columbia Street at 6:18 a.m. Saturday for a report of burglary. Officers found the person in question, Pedro Ambrocio, 19, Salem, on the front porch of the residence. The caller advised that they did not know Ambrocio, and that he had been banging on the window to the front door and broken it. Officers obtained a written statement from the caller and Ambrocio was taken into custody charged with criminal trespass, criminal damaging and underage consumption.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of West Third Street at 8:35 p.m. Friday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that flashlights were observed inside and outside of the residence, and she was unable to see if any vehicle were in the driveway. Officers were able to make contact with the homeowner who advised that his kids were playing with flashlights.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of West Fifth Street at 7:11 p.m. Friday for a report of an argument over a civil matter. All parties involved advised the situation was resolved.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Franklin Avenue at 4:40 p.m. Friday for a road rage incident. Officers located the driver in question, advising her of the complaint. She advised she understood and was just frustrated with the construction being in front of her house.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of Washington Avenue at 3:40 p.m. Friday for a wellness check. Officers were unable to make contact with the person in question.
COLUMBIANA
-- Officers were contacted by a complainant at 6:26 p.m. Friday on East Duquesne Street, reporting they believed they were scammed.
-- A woman barricaded in her bathroom called 911 at 7:55 p.m. Friday after allegedly being assaulted and held against her will by an ex-boyfriend at a residence on Colonial Drive. Johnathan Vinkler, no age provided, Petersburg, was arrested and charged with assault and unlawful restraint.
-- David L. Conrad, 75, of Leetonia was arrested and charged with OVI following a traffic crash on state Route 14 at 7:49 p.m. on Thursday.
-- Katherine Nagel, 35, of Leetonia was arrested on an active warrant at 3:08 p.m. Thursday on Springfield Road.
-- Officers responded to the parking lot of Sparkle for a private property crash report at 5:17 p.m. Tuesday.
-- Officers responded to deceased person at 9:59 a.m. Oct. 15 on South Main Street. Indications led officers to believe that the person died of medical complications and nothing criminal had occurred.
-- Officers took part in a consultation regarding a previous domestic violence situation with a juvenile offender at 12:44 p.m. Oct. 14. on Cross Street.
-- Jamelle Jones, 35, Youngstown, was arrested and charged with OVI following a traffic stop on state Route 7 near Athletix at 11:44 p.m. Oct. 13.
LISBON
-- Loud music was reported at 2:47 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of North Market Street where the homeowners advised they would turn it down.
-- Police responded at 10:07 a.m. Thursday for wires down in the 100 block of West Pine Street and learned they were phone cables.
-- Lisbon police were contacted at 2:45 a.m. Thursday regarding a report that Salem Regional Medical Center was on lockdown from a man who left notes threatening the hospital and a doctor. His last known address was North Market Street, Lisbon, and a request was made to check for him at the address. A resident who just moved in said the man doesn't live there anymore.
-- A stolen or missing vehicle was reported at 6:57 p.m. Oct. 17 from a West Washington Street property where the registered owner had gone inside and then returned outside later to find his vehicle gone. He still had his car keys and he had called police to see if a repossession was reported, but there was no report. He admitted to being behind a few payments. An investigation was pending.
-- Officers responded at 9:26 a.m. Oct. 17 to the Morning Journal for a report of counterfeit money. Officers found the $10 bill to be counterfeit and disposed of it properly.
-- A suspicious male was reported at 8:18 a.m. Oct. 17 looking in a vehicle in the 300 block of East Lincoln Way. Officers spoke to him and everything checked okay.
-- Multiple 911 hangup calls were reported at 11:36 p.m. Oct. 15 in the 300 block of West Pine Street. A woman said she had called earlier in the day over concern for her boyfriend, but he was no longer there.
-- An alarm was reported at 4:29 a.m. Oct. 16 at the Lisbon Post Office off of Dickey Drive, but all doors and windows appeared secure. A key holder was en route to the location for the alarm.
-- An officer pulled into the Circle K parking lot on North Market Street at 4:47 a.m. Oct. 15 when a man came over and advised his dogs locked him out of the car. The officer and car owner were unable to gain access, so Baker's Towing was called and made entry.
