-- Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 5:01 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a dog at large. The caller advised they had located the dog on the other side of the parking lot, and officers contacted the humane agent who advised that they would respond shortly.
-- Officers responded to a business in the 2800 block of East State Street at 7:08 p.m. Monday for a report of theft. The caller advised they observed a man walk out a fire exit with a large white box before fleeing behind the store. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the man. Officers spoke with store employees who were able to locate the man on store surveillance, and the investigation is pending.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of East Third street at 6:34 p.m. Monday for a report of theft. Officers were advised that a red Schwinn motorized bicycle had been stolen sometime in the last couple of days. Officers advised them that a report would be on file.
-- Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 4:07 p.m. Monday regarding a letter he had received in the mail. The man advised he thought the letter might be a scam and officers provided him with the options for dealing with the situation.
-- Officers responded to the 1600 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 3:43 p.m. Monday for a report of a possible hit and skip. Officers found the accident had occurred outside the city in Perry Township, and officers requested Perry Township officers respond. Officers also located the other vehicle and stood by while Perry Township officers completed their investigation.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of East third Street at 10:41 a.m. Monday for a reported civil matter. The caller advised that they had been at court to evict their tenants and wanted to make entry to see if he had voluntarily left. Officers advised that the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office would handle the removal of the tenant if the eviction process was completed.
LISBON
-- A South Green Street resident called at 1:41 p.m. Sunday to report a spouse having mental issues and causing self-harm after a change in medication. An ambulance responded and they requested to go to Mercy Health in Boardman.
-- A possible accident was reported near Columbiana County Department of Job and Family Services off of Dickey Drive at 1:04 p.m. Sunday, but nothing was found.
-- Officers at 10:57 p.m. Saturday assisted the county sheriff's office in trying to locate an intoxicated female walking in the road on North Market Street, but could not find her.
-- Police at 11:52 p.m. Saturday located an intoxicated male lying along the road on East Washington Street, assisted him and gave him a courtesy transport to his residence.
-- A resident on North Jefferson Street reported at 2:17 p.m. Saturday that her vehicle parked on the side of the road was hit the night before, with the other vehicle leaving. She awoke to a loud crashing sound between 2 to 3 a.m. but didn't think it was her vehicle. She found the damage Saturday when she came out to go to the store. An officer noted the vehicle appeared to be struck by a car coming off of South Jefferson onto Spruce Street, with the vehicle pushed about a foot closer to the property it was next to. Debris was located and collected in an attempt to identify the other car.
-- A Diamondback refuse truck backing down Thomas Road hill struck a utility pole at the top of the hill at 4:09 p.m. Thursday, causing significant damage. The road was closed and Ohio Edison responded to replace the pole and make repairs.
-- Richard Vecchio, 61, state Route 164, Lisbon, was charged with criminal trespassing, obstructing and resisting arrest after an incident in the 400 block of East Lincoln Way at 7:58 p.m. Friday when he refused to leave an apartment and was attempting to take an open container of liquor with him. He was told to leave the bottle, grabbed an empty one and made a motion like he was going to throw it at police officers. He was warned force would be used if he threw the bottle, continued to not comply and had to be forcibly removed, then resisted when being placed under arrest. Just prior to police arriving, a call had come from a business owner who reported Vecchio allegedly punched the window while walking by.
-- Police were called at 12:17 p.m. Friday to a domestic dispute on Thomas Road and learned a man was reported to be super paranoid and talked about things off the wall. He was saying some irrational things and had cuts on his legs that appeared to be infected. He agreed to let a woman he knows take him to Mercy Hospital in Boardman.
-- Police were called at 10:28 a.m. Friday to Smith Oil on East Lincoln Way where a man stole a Monster drink. He had been in the store just prior to that and paid for two packs of cigarettes.
-- A loud motorcycle was reported traveling up and down Maple Street at 11:08 p.m. Thursday, but was not found.
-- A reckless driver was reported at 9:14 p.m. Oct. 25 on Lincoln Way, but was not found.
-- Loud music was reported on East Lincoln Way at 3:06 a.m. Oct. 25, with the homeowner advised to turn it down.
-- A third party caller at 9:16 p.m. Oct. 24 reported a fight in the 700 block of Sunset Drive. The involved parties told police the incident was verbal only. Nothing physical occurred.
-- An open gate was found by police on routine patrol at the CARTS garage on Jackson Street. Nothing was found disturbed.
EAST PALESTINE
-- Officers responded at 12:38 a.m. on Sunday to West Martin Street to a report of two teenagers attempting to break into a garage. Officers searched the scene but could not locate the subjects.
-- Officer responded at 10:52 p.m. on Sunday to East Main Street after a resident reported unwanted people in her residence The resident also reported she believed people may be on her roof. Officers checked the scene but did not locate any individual.
-- Officers responded at 5:58 p.m. on Sunday to East Main Street to a report of a disturbance. Krista Preline, no age or address given, was charged with assault.
-- Officers responded at 1:04 a.m. on Sunday to East Main Street to a report of a possible theft. Officers later concluded no property was stolen.
-- Officers responded at 11:54 p.m. on Saturday to East Main Street to a report that people were tossing beer cans out a car. Officers searched for the vehicle but did not locate it.
-- Officers responded at 9:29 p.m. on Saturday West North Avenue to a traffic complaint.
-- Officers responded at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday to East Clark Street to an animal complaint.
-- Officers responded at 2:47 a.m. to Garfield Avenue to a report of a disturbance. Wayne Hetric, no age or address given, was charged with disorderly conduct.
-- Officers responded at 1:23 p.m. on Saturday to Park Avenue to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer checked the scene and determined nothing was amiss.
-- Officers responded at 8:40 p.m. on Friday to West Clark Street to a report of corning. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles reportedly responsible.
-- Officers arrested Alexander Morlan, no address or age given, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday on East Main Street. Morlan was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to update his residency as a sex offender.
-- Officers received a complaint at 5:58 p.m. on Friday regarding an Apple ID being hacked.
-- Officers responded to a juvenile who was attempting to run away from a residence on East Main Street at 5:39 p.m. on Friday. The juvenile was taken to Children's Hospital in Akron at his parents' request.
-- Officers responded at 8:42 p.m. on Thursday to Howell Road to a suspicious 911 call. The resident advised he did not make the call and the phone number that made the call was not his.
-- Officers responded at 7:47 p.m. on Thursday to the East Palestine Library after a man with dementia walked away from the library. Officers located the man and reunited him with his wife.
-- Officers responded at 7:21 p.m. on Wednesday to Bacon Avenue for a welfare check of a juvenile. The juvenile's mother explained the situation to police who determined the child was not in danger.
-- Officers responded at 6:58 p.m. on Tuesday to East North Avenue to an ongoing issue at the residence.
-- Officers responded at 6:34 p.m. on Tuesday to Park Avenue to a noise complaint involving barking dogs. Officer did not find or hear any dog at the scene.
-- Officers responded at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday to East North Avenue for a parking complaint involving a vehicle that had reportedly been parked on the street for several days. Officers located the vehicle that had a note on it stating the car was broken down. Officers attempted to call the number on the note but it was no longer working.
