-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East Third Street at 5:57 a.m. Friday for report of suspicious activity. The caller advised she believed someone had dumped something on her front and back porch that smelled like manure. Officers checked the area but did not locate anything.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of Rose Avenue at 12:24 p.m. Friday for a report of a person revving their engine. Officers observed a vehicle actively peeling its tires while sitting stationary causing excessive noise and smoke. Officers spoke with the driver Evan Black, Canton, issuing a citation for peeling tires and a warning for reckless operations.
-- Christian Barnes, 22, was cited for failure to yield after his vehicle failed to yield when entering East State Street from a parking lot, causing it to be struck by a vehicle driven west by Kay Hefner at 7:55 p.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported.
-- Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 5:55 p.m. Thursday for a reported child custody dispute. The caller advised that his children were not home where they were supposed to be and were instead with their mother, who had shared parenting rights with the man. The man claimed that the mother or one of her family members removed them from the home while she was not present. Officers spoke with the mother, who also came to the police department to make a report, and advised that she never removed the children from the man's home and that they had left the home and walked to her residence a few blocks away of their own free will, and that the children were currently under the care of her mother in Alliance. Officers spoke with both juveniles by phone, who confirmed they were safe, and no harm had been done. Officers advised both parties that a report would be on file.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 5:35 p.m. Thursday for a neighbor's complaint. The caller advised that his neighbor was throwing her property near his front door. Officers spoke with the neighbor who came and cleaned up the property.
-- Officers responded to the 1500 block of Cleveland Street at 5:18 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check. The caller advised that her ex-husband has joint custody of their children and was supposed to contact her that evening and had not done so. The caller also advised that her son could possibly have a concussion and wanted a check on her children. Officers were unable to contact them at the residence but spoke with the caller who advised she had been able to contact her ex-husband and that they weren't home at that time.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Bank Street at 4:11 p.m. Thursday for a reported juvenile problem. Officers were advised that a juvenile did not get off the bus due to nobody being present to pick her up, and that the juvenile was at the city bus garage. Officers spoke with the juvenile's mother who advised that it was fine if officers went to get her and bring her home. Officers picked up and transported the juvenile.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of East Third Street at 2:20 p.m. Thursday for a report of a small child unattended in the area. Officers located the boy playing on his own front porch and officers spoke with both the child and a parent, advising them of the complaint and to be sure that the child is supervised when outside, and the parent advised he understood.

-- Donovan Brackin, 20, Salem, was cited for speeding after his northbound vehicle on South Pricetown Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 3:16 p.m. Wednesday.
-- Anne Yeager, 40, Girard, was cited for speeding after her northbound vehicle on Youngstown Salem Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 5:47 p.m. Tuesday.
-- Samatha Lamantia, 26, East Liverpool, was cited for speeding after her northbound vehicle on state Route 46 was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday.
-- Edward McCain, 80, Columbiana, was cited for expired registration after his eastbound vehicle on Salem Unity Road was observed to have a broken taillight and a registration check showed the vehicle to be expired at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of East Main Street at 12:20 a.m. Monday to assist the Mahoning County Sherriff's Office with a reported woman in distress. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
-- Megan Ball, 24, Waterford, was cited for speeding after her eastbound vehicle on Salem Unity Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 7:28 p.m. Nov. 10.
-- Jermaine Clay, 42, Leetonia, was cited for speeding after his eastbound vehicle on Salem Unity Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 7:12 p.m. Nov. 10.
-- Donald Sanor, 72, Homeworth, was cited for speeding after his northbound vehicle on South Pricetown Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 8:32 a.m. Nov. 9.
