SALEM REPORTS
- An officer responded to the 1600 block of Southeast Boulevard at 12:30 p.m. Friday where a resident reported a suspicious person came to her house to report an electrical issue, then left the area when she said she was calling the police. Officers checked the area, but were unable to find the person in question.
- An officer responded to the 500 block of East Fourth Street at 11:32 a.m. Friday to perform a welfare check on the resident after a case worker reported being unable to make contact with the resident. The officer spoke with the resident who advised he wanted transported to the Salem hospital for medical attention. The resident was transported by ambulance to the Salem hospital.
- An officer responded to the 700 block of East Third Street at 10:50 a.m. Friday in reference to a theft. The matter is under investigation.
-Lance J. Steffel, 68, homeless, was arrested on an active warrant for failure to appear after officers responded to the 200 block of East State Street at 10:41 a.m. Friday where he was requested removed from a business.
- Damien Phillips, 21, Ohio Avenue, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County after patrolling officers saw him in the area of South Lundy Avenue and East Perry Street at 10:11 a.m. Friday and knew him to have the warrant.
- Officers responded with emergency medical personnel to the 2600 block of East State Street at 9:04 a.m. Friday in reference to a woman that fell in the parking lot and struck her head. The woman was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
- Officers responded to the 700 block of East Third Street at 8:57 a.m. Friday to assist the Columbiana County Drug Task Force. An open door was found and two people were inside. One of the people inside claimed residency and officers cleared when no longer needed.
NEW WATERFORD REPORTS
- Officers responded to the 3900 block of West Main Street at 7:42 p.m. Nov. 14 in reference to an argument in which someone needed removed from the home. All the people involved were told to stay away from each other and go through the courts for property issues.
- Officers responded to the 46000 block of Allendale Avenue at 11:45 p.m. Nov. 11 in reference to juveniles ringing a resident's doorbell then running away. Officers spoke with the juveniles and advised them to stay off the resident's property.
- Officers responded to the 3900 block of West Main Street at 9:47 p.m. Nov. 11 to remove an unwanted person from a home. Offices found that the homeowner had advised the person in question they were not welcome and the person left before officers arrived.
- Officers spoke with a woman in the 3200 block of Creek Road at 9:35 a.m. Nov. 11 who reported a man was recording her children at the trailer park. Officers spoke with the man in question and determined he was not recording the children, but using his flashlight on his phone.
