- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 7:07 p.m. Saturday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and $80 was seized as evidence.
- Officers responded to the 100 block of North Howard Avenue at 3:43 p.m. Saturday for a welfare check on woman who was seen falling. Officer learned the woman had suffered a seizure and medical personnel responded to transport her to the Salem hospital.
- Officers responded with the fire department at 3:07 p.m. Saturday to the 1200 block of Mound Street in reference to power lines across the roadway. Officers found the downed line which was creating a traffic hazard and they provided traffic control until Ohio Edison was able to respond and disconnect the wire.
- Officers responded to the 2300 block of East State Street at 2:23 p.m. Saturday in reference to an irate person. Officers spoke with the person in question, who said he was upset with the business regarding a civil matter. Employees said they just wanted the person to leave for the day, but that he could return at a later time.
- Officers responded to the 300 block of West Fifth Street at 8:17 a.m. Saturday in reference to a possible water line break. Officers located the break and notified the water department.
- Officers responded to the 1300 block of Robin Avenue at 3:25 a.m. Saturday in reference to a disorderly person. The homeowner wanted the person in question to get a ride home and said he was no longer welcome at the home.
- Brandon J. Mango, 46, Hanoverton, was charged with OVI and speed following a traffic stop at South Lincoln Avenue and East State Street at 11:32 p.m. Friday.
- Priscilla McCullough, no age or address listed, was cited for fictitious plates following a traffic stop in the 100 block of West State Street at 10:42 p.m. Friday.
- Officers responded to the 700 block of East Third Street at 12:17 p.m. Friday in reference to a disorderly person and found the person in the 800 block of East Fourth Street, issuing her a disorderly conduct warning.
- Jaden Thomas McFarland, 21, Alliance, was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash in the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 11:09 a.m. Friday in which he was eastbound and traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported.
- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 10:55 a.m. Friday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and $80 was seized as evidence.
- Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 9:02 a.m. Friday where a man reported he was visiting his girlfriend when a man ran out the front door. The man in question was found to be a friend of the girlfriend.
- Officers responded to the area of Rose Avenue and East Third Street at 8:37 a.m. Friday in reference to a possible coyote. Officers checked the area but were unable to find the animal.
- Officers responded to the intersection of Newgarden Avenue and Mullins Street at 5:40 a.m. Friday where a southbound vehicle driven by John Dennis Patrick, 54, Salem, had struck a pedestrian, Robert K. Pittman, 34, Salem, while attempting a left turn. Officers found no cross walk at the intersection and Pittman to be wearing all black. Pittman was transported by Salem first responders to St. Elizabeth Hospital with possible injuries.
- Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 5:31 a.m. Friday in reference to someone being in a residence. Officers checked the home and found everything to appear fine.
- Officers were on West 10the Street at 4:52 a.m. Friday checking for a suspicious person in a back yard carrying items when an alarm was reported at a 900 block North Ellsworth Avenue business. Officers responded to the business and found the lock on the back door broken off. Officers checked the business, but found no one inside. The business owner arrived and reported nothing appeared to be missing.
- Officers responded to the 800 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 4:19 a.m. Friday in reference to a possible breaking and entering, but found the business secure and no one in the area.
- Officers responded to the 800 block of Granite Avenue at 1:50 a.m. Friday in reference to a domestic dispute, but found that nothing physical had occurred. Both people involved were told to stay away from each other for the rest of the night.
- Jonathan Lagone, 21, Ohio Avenue, Salem, was charged with domestic violence after officers responded to his home at 11:03 p.m. Thursday in reference to an assault in which the alleged victim claimed he had assaulted her then fled the home. Officers found Lagone in a wooded area nearby and he was arrested following an investigation.
- Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue and the bypass at 9:40 p.m. Thursday to assist Perry Township officers search for an individual who had walked away from a one-vehicle crash. The individual later returned to the scene.
- Officers responded with medical personnel to the 400 block of Ohio Avenue at 8:51 p.m. Thursday in reference to a juvenile female experiencing a medical-related issue. EMS assessed the juvenile and she was transported to Akron Children's Hospital for further evaluation.
- Timothy J. Wilson, 46, Salem, was arrested on a warrant for aggravated possession of drugs after officers responded to the 700 block of East Third Street at 7:47 p.m. Thursday to speak with a woman and found him on scene.
East Palestine
-- Officers conducted a welfare check at 11:04 a.m. on Garfield Avenue on Jan. 17. The subject was transported to the hospital by New Waterford EMS.
-- Officers cited Melinda Woods for disorderly conduct after she was observed exiting her vehicle and yelling profanities at another vehicle at 3:05 p.m. in front of the Norfolk Southern Family Assistance Center on Rebecca Street on Jan. 16.
-- Officers took a report at 4:03 p.m. on Jan. 16 from a woman who claimed unleashed dogs had attacked her goat and injured it on North Market Street.
-- Officers responded at 9:42 a.m. to a report of a missing woman on East Martin Street on Jan. 15. The woman was found safe at another residence.
-- Officers assisted in helping a man remove a disabled vehicle from the intersection of West Martin Street and Brookdale Avenue at 12:24 p.m. on Jan. 15.
-- A woman came to the station at 1:08 p.m. to file a report of telecommunications harassment on Jan. 15.
-- Officers responded at 8:21 p.m. to Circle K on North Market Street to a report of an unruly customer on Jan. 15. Officers made contact with the subject who compiled when asked to leave.
-- Officers responded at 7:37 p.m. to an alarm at EP Liquor Stop on East Taggart Street on Jan. 14. The front door was found to be insecure. Officers cleared the businesses and a keyholder arrived to secure the door and reset the alarm.

-- Officers responded at 3:51 p.m. to Moore Lane on Jan. 14 to a report of telecommunications harassment.
-- Officers conducted a welfare check at 5:54 p.m. at the Meadowview Apartments on Washington Street on Jan. 14. The resident was found to be safe.
-- Officers responded at 9:25 a.m. on Jan. 13 to North Market Street to a report of a neighbor dispute.
-- Officers responded at 3:51 p.m. to West Martin Street on Jan. 13 to a report of a suspicious person. Officers spoke to a female who reported that a male wearing a brown bulldog mascot suit and a werewolf mask chased her. The female requested an ambulance transport to the hospital.
-- Officers arrested William Cunning, no age or address given, following a traffic stop on Sumner Street at 7:50 p.m. on Jan. 13. Cunning was charged with being a fugitive of justice out of Chippewa Township in Pennsylvania. He was transported to the county jail.
-- Officers responded to an audible alarm at 8:42 p.m. on Jan. 13 on Washington Street and determined a cat had set off the alarm.
-- Officers observed at 11:42 p.m. on Jan. 13 four juveniles out after curfew at an area business on North Market Street. The juveniles were transported home.
-- Officers responded at 1:37 .am. to a report of a suspicious person on West Martin Street on Jan. 13. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
-- Officers responded at 7:51 a.m. to a report of low-hanging wires on Sunset Boulevard. AT&T was notified.
-- Officers responded at 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 13 to Garfield Avenue for a man to retrieve his belongings.
-- Officers arrested Duston Andrews, no address or age given, on an outstanding warrant at 11:14 a.m. on Jan. 12 after receiving a tip he was staying at East Main Street residence.
-- Officers responded at 8:52 p.m. to jump start a vehicle in the high school parking lot on Jan. 12.
-- Officers responded at 9:55 p.m. to a report of disturbance and threats made on West Martin Street on Jan. 12. Officers made contact with all involved parties and were advised no threats had been made.
Columbiana
-- Officers responded to Sparkle Market at 1108 Village Plaza for a theft report at 10:47 a.m. Jan. 24. A theft report was taken, but no charges will be filed at this time due to lack of information on the suspect's identity.
-- Michelle Hall, no age listed, Lisbon, was issued a citation for driving under suspension and improper display at 7:57 p.m. Jan. 23.
-- A report was taken over the phone at the police station at 4:52 p.m. Jan. 23 about an argument between a husband and wife that happened on the previous day. No charges will be brought as a result of the initial investigation.
-- Officers responded to the intersection of South Main Street and Pittsburgh Street at 12:13 p.m. Jan. 22 for a minor two-vehicle crash. Neither party wanted a traffic crash to be completed, only an incident report.
-- A city resident reported at 12:37 p.m. Jan. 21 that their credit card information was used in Middleburg Heights. The local police department made contact and was able to identify the suspect.
-- Chandler Hurst, 23, East Palestine, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 14 at 7:29 p.m. Jan. 19.
-- An individual filed a report at the police station about an attempted fraud/theft transaction on her PayPal account at 3:33 p.m. Jan. 19.
-- Officers responded to a person dead on arrival in the 400 block of Union Street 5:38 p.m. Jan. 18. Following an investigation, no foul play was discovered.
-- Jeffrey Sigurani, 23, Austintown, was charged with criminal mischief and littering following an investigation on Metz Road at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17.
-- Christopher Mele, 63, Columbiana, was arrested at his Lucretia Lane home on an active warrant for aggravated vehicular assault and other offenses in Columbiana County at 11:32 a.m. Jan. 17. Mele was transported to the Columbiana County Jail without further incident.
-- Police assisted Columbiana EMS with a medical call where an elderly man died on Heck Road at 10:28 a.m. Jan. 17, nothing criminal apparent.
-- Toby Lantz, no age listed, of Lisbon, was cited for driving while texting and failure to yield during a left turn at 5:51 a.m. Jan. 17.
-- A report was taken at the Columbiana Police Department from two people concerning telecommunications harassment at 6:40 p.m. Jan. 16.
-- Andrick Cetor, 64, Struthers, was cited for disorderly conduct following an EMS call at Tic-Toc on state Route 14 at 4:57 p.m. Jan. 16.
-- Police took a fraud report for a city resident on Manor Drive at 12:04 p.m Jan. 15. There did not appear to be any monetary loss, but someone did gain access to that person's accounts.
-- Shanae Adams, 32, Youngstown, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 46 near state Route 7 at 10:41 p.m. Jan. 13. Adams was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office and was taken into custody and turned over to a Mahoning County deputy.
-- Officers responded to a domestic violence incident in the 100 block of South Middle Street at 9:05 p.m. Jan. 13. Upon arrival, the parties involved were found to be separated and an investigation determined that no physical violence had occurred. Officers stood by while one party gathered belongings and left the residence.
-- Joseph Van Kirk, 22, Brookfield, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the parking lot of Burger King at 2:36 p.m. Jan. 13.
-- An officer responded to a private property crash in the McDonald's drive-thru on East state Route 14 and took a report at 7:55 a.m. Jan. 11.
-- Miles Ketchum, 58, Lisbon, was cited for driving under suspension and two headlights required following a traffic stop on North Main Street at 7:39 p.m. Jan. 10.
-- An officer spoke to someone at the station regarding a custody issue at 6:11 p.m. Jan. 10.
-- Reichard Industries, at 338 South Main Street reported a former employee who was refusing to turn in their work clothes at 3:46 p.m. Jan. 9.
-- Demario Treadwell, no age listed, of Georgia, was cited for speed and driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 14 at 6:43 p.m. Jan. 8.
-- A hit skip was reported in the area of East Park Avenue and Highland Avenue at 8:08 a.m. Jan. 8. A short time later, an officer on patrol located the vehicle involved. A report was taken and the case was sent to the Columbiana County Prosecutor's office for review to file charges.
-- Police responded to a suspected drug overdose on South Main Street at 7:40 p.m. Jan. 7. The patient was then transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
-- An officer found property in the 100 block of Allen Avenue which belonged to a local business at 12:40 a.m. Jan. 6. The property was returned to the business.
