Lisbon
— Officers responded to a security alarm in the 200 block of Jefferson Street at 3:37 p.m. March 7. The exterior of the property was checked. All the doors were locked and there were no signs of forced entry.
— A minor two-vehicle crash occurred when one vehicle struck another from behind while it was sitting at a stop sign at Pritchard Avenue and East Lincoln Way at 8:43 a.m. March 7. Both vehicles had minor damage.
— Officers took a report of threats by cell phone at 12:34 a.m. March 7. The victim was told to send the messages to the detective as the threats are an ongoing issue. The victim was also told an extra watch would be placed on their residence.
— An officer responded to a verbal altercation between a man and a woman in the 400 block of East Lincoln Way at 8:28 a.m. March 6. The man said he just wanted to gather some things and leave for the day and see the baby before he left. The woman said she didn’t have a problem with that.
— Officers were dispatched to the area of the Grant Street Bridge at 8:00 p.m. March 5 to assist Columbiana County Sheriff’s deputies in locating people who were reported to be on foot and involved in an altercation. The involved parties were located at the Lisbon Taco Bell and said a verbal argument had occurred earlier.
— A parked vehicle rolled towards another parked vehicle and struck it while a bicycle was being loaded onto it at the P.L. & W. railroad station parking lot of the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail on South Market Street at 1:56 p.m. March 5. The vehicle that rolled was listed as at fault.
— K-9 Otis was deployed to assist Ohio State Highway Patrol by conducting an open-air sniff on a vehicle during a traffic stop on state Route 11 near state Route 164 at 4:07 a.m. March 5. Otis alerted to the presence of narcotics.
— An officer on patrol found a suspected telephone line across the road on West Washington Street near Beaver Street at 3:32 a.m. March 5. The officer closed the road until fire department personnel cleared the road.
— An officer responded to the 100 block of Vine Street for a possible burglary in progress at 8:05 p.m. March 4. The officer spoke to the complainant, who said everything was fine.
— A two-vehicle crash occurred in the parking lot of BP when a vehicle was leaving a gas pump and pulled out in front of another vehicle that was coming around the back of the building and traveling towards state Route 154 at 2:27 p.m. March 4. The vehicle leaving the gas pump struck the other vehicle and was listed as at fault.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of Maple Street for a report of screaming and the sound of things being thrown at 12:07 a.m. March 3. The three occupants of the residence said everything was verbal only and refusal forms were obtained from everyone.
— Officers were dispatched to the 40,000 block of state Route 154 for the report of a verbal domestic dispute at 7:30 p.m. March 3. Two male juveniles said they were having a disagreement about an online video game. The officers spoke to the juveniles’ parents, who said nothing physical occurred.
— An officer was dispatched to the area of Race and Pritchard Roads for the report of a disabled vehicle in the road at 9:02 p.m. March 1. The officer checked the area and was unable to locate the reported vehicle.
Salem
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Mound Street at 1:47 a.m. Thursday for a report of a person to be removed. The caller advised his brother-in-law has been staying with him for a week and that he was extremely intoxicated and made a derogatory statement toward one of his children and he wanted him to leave. Officers located the man passed out intoxicated in a shed outside with visible injuries to his face from allegedly falling off the back steps. The fire department and EMT responded to check on the man and transport him to the Salem Regional Medical Center.
— Officers responded to the Salem Public Library parking lot for a report of people skating. The people were advised by staff they could not skate there but continued doing so. Officers advised them not to skate there and they left.
— Officers responded to the area of South Lincoln and Chestnut Grove at 5:59 p.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. Dispatch was advised to contact Perry Township because the incident was in their jurisdiction.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Fourth Street at 5:56 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a dirtbike in the roadway. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle but were unsuccessful.
— Drug paraphernalia was located in the 800 block of West Wilson Street at 3:56 p.m. Wednesday. The paraphernalia was properly destroyed.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 3:38 p.m. Tuesday to assist the Columbiana County Childrens Services. Officers stood by while CCCS completed their investigation. While on scene officers found a resident of the house, Caleb Kaiser,28, Salem, to have an active warrant out of Columbiana County. Kaiser was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 2:02 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check on a resident. Officers spoke with fire department personnel who were already on scene. The fire department advised they had checked the residence prior to the officers’ arrival.
— The school resource officer was advised of an issue with a student at Reilly Elementary, administration advised that the student was disciplined for their actions, and they just wanted the officer to be aware.
— Officers were provided information regarding an ongoing issue with a juvenile being harassed by a female adult. The matter is under investigation.
— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday for a juvenile issue. The caller advised her son was acting out and having some issues, and the caller was advised of the process to file unruly charges.
— Britany Mitchel, Salem, was cited for speeding after her northbound vehicle in the 1500 block of Jennings Avenue went off the right side of the roadway and into a ditch at 8:11 a.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of Ohio Avenue at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a person down on the sidewalk. Officers spoke with the woman in question, who was a juvenile that was laying there arguing with their significant other. Officers contacted the juvenile’s guardian who picked them up.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Eighth Street at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday for a report of suspicious activity. Officers were advised that a juvenile man was attempting to get into locked vehicles prior to leaving the area on a skateboard. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate them.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of East State Street at 7:32 p.m. Tuesday for report of trespassing. The caller advised an unknown person was riding their dirtbike on the property without permission. Officers checked the area, but the person had left prior to their arrival.
