Salem
– Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 11:38 a.m. Saturday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force take a man into custody for soliciting prostitution. Officers confiscated $60 as evidence.
– A woman reported on station at 11:16 a.m. Saturday having mental and medical issues. Medical personnel responded and the woman was ultimately transported by ambulance to the Salem hospital.
– Officers responded to the 1200 block of Cleveland Street at 12:05 a.m. Saturday in reference to a tree in the roadway. The fire department also responded and pulled the tree off the roadway.
– Officers responded to the area of North Ellsworth Avenue and East Eighth Street at 11:53 p.m. Friday in reference to a large limb across the roadway and found a tree had pulled a power line down. The fire department responded and stood by until Ohio Edison arrived.
– An officer responded to the 1500 block of Southeast Boulevard at 10:32 p.m. Friday in reference to a woman having mental health issues. The officer spoke with the woman for an extended period of time to make sure she did not need any further assistance.
– Officers responded to the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 9:09 p.m. Friday in reference to a suspicious person possibly carrying a gun. Officers checked the area along with several surrounding blocks, but did not find the person in question or anyone carrying a gun.
– An East 10th Street resident reported at 8:04 p.m. Friday that a woman came to his home and threatened him regarding money, ultimately leaving the area but saying she would return. Officers said there would be an extra patrol in his area and to contact the department is she returns.
– A Prospect Street resident reported at 7:12 p.m. Friday her landlord walked into her residence unannounced. An officer spoke with the landlord, who denied the allegation, and advised him to make sure the renter knows he is coming when he conducts his business.
– An officer responded to the 2300 block of East State Street at 6:59 p.m. Friday to check the well-being of a juvenile employee who reportedly made threats of self-harm. Officers spoke with the juvenile and her mother and determined she was having feelings of self-harm. The juvenile was transported by ambulance to Akron Children’s Hospital-Boardman.
– An officer responded to the 2400 block of East State Street at 4:46 p.m. Friday in reference to a man observed on security video taking multiple items from the business. The matter is under investigation.
– Jill A. Moore, no age or address listed, was cited for an unspecified traffic violation following a two-vehicle crash at East Pershing Street and South Madison Avenue at 2:31 p.m. Friday in which she was driving south and failed to yield from the stop sign, striking an eastbound vehicle. No injuries were reported.
– Officers responded with medical personnel to the 500 block of East Fourth Street at 1:31 p.m. Friday in reference to an unresponsive woman. The woman was found to be deceased from natural causes.
– The school resource officer at 1:20 p.m. Friday was advised of an issue that happened between students during school. The officer spoke with school administrators and the complainant about the issue. Two students were disciplined and the matter is under investigation.
– Alicia M. Craig, 33, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County after officers responded to a fight in the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 4:33 p.m. Friday.
– Officers responded to the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 12:25 p.m. Friday in reference to a fight in progress and were advised there had been a verbal dispute between two people, but nothing physical had occurred. Officers stood by until a family member arrived to assist in gathering one of the individual’s belongings.
– Matthew Pliska, 39, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County after officers responded to the 100 block of Benton Road at 11:24 a.m. Friday to follow up on a theft report.
– A Mountz Road resident reported at 10:42 a.m. Friday taking a vehicle to a local vehicle cleaning business and left a firearm in the glovebox, but the firearm was missing when picking up the vehicle. The complainant said the business owner advised no one took the firearm. An officer spoke with the business owner and two employees and all denied seeing or taking a firearm. The matter is under investigation.
– An officer responded to the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 10:02 a.m. Friday where a resident reported someone had hacked her phone and social media accounts. She was advised to speak with her phone service provider.
– Officers responded to the 1400 block of East State Street at 6:55 a.m. Friday where a resident reported a juvenile in the home was acting out violently against other family members and wanted the juvenile advised of the consequences of such actions.

— Douglas Miller Junior was cited for speeding after his northbound vehicle on South Pricetown Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 9:53 a.m. Thursday.
— Zachary Daniels was cited for speeding after his northbound vehicle on Lisbon Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 8:24 a.m. Thursday.
— Madison Griffiths was cited for speeding after his eastbound vehicle on West Western Reserve Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 7:56 a.m. Thursday.
— Dylan Monroe was cited for speeding after his eastbound vehicle on West Calla Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 7:02 a.m. Thursday.
— Justin Smith, Canfield, was cited for speeding after his eastbound vehicle on Lisbon Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 5:47 p.m. Wednesday.
— Attila Biro, North Jackson, was cited for speeding after his eastbound vehicle on state Route 46 was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 5:27 p.m. Wednesday.
— Gloria Dothard, Lowellville, was cited for speeding after her westbound vehicle on West Western Reserve Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday.
— Officers responded to the area of Lisbon Road and West Pine Lake Road at 9:03 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a bridge with a hole in it. Officers observed the southbound lane berm to be eroding away due to recent heavy rain, and contacted the Mahoning County Engineer’s Office, which advised they had sent a worker out to examine the bridge on Tuesday that found it to be safe and would send another worker out to re-check the bridge.
— Jake Clouds was cited for expired plates and issued a verbal warning for speed after his westbound vehicle on state Route 165 was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 6:34 a.m. Wednesday.
— Gavin Ofca, Lisbon, was cited for speeding after his northbound vehicle on Lisbon Road was observed travelng in excess of the speed limit at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday.
— Jamie Mash, Salem, was cited for speeding after her northbound vehicle on Lisbon Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 3:17 p.m. Tuesday.
— Sandra Messenger was cited for speeding after her northbound vehicle on Lisbon Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 7:06 a.m. Tuesday.
— Manuel Figueroa was cited for speeding after his southbound vehicle on Lisbon Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 12:30 p.m. Monday.
— Tere Wilkes was cited for driving under suspension and issued a verbal warning for display of plates and air fresheners after his vehicle on Alliance Salem Road was observed with a license plate “so rusted out” that officers could not read it, and multiple air fresheners hanging on the mirror inside the vehicle at 4:15 p.m. Sunday.
— Kevin Clark, 28, Beloit, was cited for driving under suspension, and Rebekah Henthorne, 46, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after Henthorne’s westbound vehicle on Alliance Salem Road struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Clark at 6:58 p.m. April 6. Henthorne and her passenger Brock Henthorne, 14, Salem, were transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for suspected minor injuries by the Damascus fire department.
— Noah Mcintosh was cited for driving under suspension after a random license plate check on his vehicle on state Route 165 showed its owner to be suspended at 5:15 p.m. April 6.
— Vinh Dang was cited for expired registration after his northbound vehicle on South Pricetown Road was observed with an incorrect registration sticker at 5:49 p.m. April 5.
— Carter Baumberger was cited for speeding after his northwest bound vehicle on Cleveland East Liverpool Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 4:44 p.m. April 5.
— Brian Regan, 50, Akron, was cited for failure to control after his northwest bound vehicle on Cleveland East Liverpool Road swerved to miss a deer and went off the right side of the roadway into a ditch at 3:20 p.m. April 5. No injuries were reported.
— Chelsea Yarwood was cited for driving under suspension after a registration check on her vehicle on Salem Alliance Road showed the owner to be suspended at 11:55 a.m. April 5.
— Hannah Miller, Lisbon, was cited for speeding after her southeast bound vehicle on West Pinelake Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 11:03 p.m. April 5.
— While assisting another officer with a traffic stop at the intersection of West Western Reserve Road and Columbiana Canfield Road officers observed a vehicle traveling eastbound accelerating rapidly and going through a red light at 5:37 p.m. April 4. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at the intersection of West Western Reserve Road and Detweiler Road, and while writing a citation for the driver of the vehicle, another vehicle traveling east at a high rate of speed passed the traffic stop “coming within inches of sideswiping” the officer’s cruiser, causing it to shake as he drove past and honked its horn while passing, with no oncoming traffic for the vehicle and a clear view of the stop. Officers issued the driver of the current traffic stop a verbal warning and initiated a traffic stop on the third vehicle at the intersection of West Western Reserve and New Buffalo Road. The officer identified the driver as Joseph Yemma, who advised he knew the driver of the previous vehicle, so he honked, and the officer advised him that he passed the traffic stop dangerously closely, which he denied, and when the officer advised that his passing was so close it shook his cruiser Yenma claimed it was the wind. Yenma was cited for approaching a public safety vehicle displaying lights and a seatbelt violation, and Yenma advised “he knows his rights and would be taking this to the supreme court.”
— Cody Saunders was cited for driving under suspension after his northbound vehicle on Washingtonville Road was observed with a cracked, and loud exhaust at 5:20 p.m. April 4.
— Officers responded to the office of Dr. Corallo in Beloit at 7:31 a.m. April 4 for a report of a screen being removed from a window. The caller advised that the window screen from the northwest window had been removed with fresh fingerprints on the window frame. Officers found the screen lying on the ground with a hole where the screen release tab was placed, which appeared to have been purposely removed and the window appeared to have been touched. No damage was done to the window, and officers determined no video was available of the area, and officers advised the caller a report would be on file and an extra patrol would be in place.
— Daymion Depril was cited for speeding after his westbound vehicle on Alliance Salem Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 6:13 p.m. April 3.
— Dakota Labine was cited for speeding after his northbound vehicle on South Pricetown road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 5:38 p.m. April 3.
