Salem

— Officers responded to the 10000 block of U.S. Route 62 at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday to assist EMT with a psych patient who had just been transported out of the city. EMT staff members reported the patient had attempted to get in the front seat and jump out onto the roadway while in transit. Officers found the patient back on the cot, but in a combative state. She had to be retrained to the cot and was transported to the Salem hospital instead of Mercy Health in Youngstown.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Aetna Street at 1:57 a.m. Wednesday in reference to a woman who made comments of harming herself. Officers found the woman at her home and she said she was on medication and highly intoxicated. She agreed to go to the hospital for an evaluation.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 11:14 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a man lying on the ground next to a box truck with its door wide open. Officers found the man very unsteady, sweating profusely and unable to stand up straight. The man said he was suffering narcotics withdrawal, but a glass/metal pipe with burnt residue was observed in his hand. The pipe was seized as evidence and the man was transported by ambulance to the Salem hospital for treatment. Charges are pending.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East State Street at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday to check on the well-being of an individual. Officers spoke with the person in question who was ultimately transported by ambulance to the hospital for further evaluation.

— A patrolling officer at 7:58 p.m. Tuesday conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of North Lincoln Avenue, finding the driver, who was not identified in the report, to have a suspended license. The driver was cited for driving under suspension and the vehicles owner, who also was not identified in the report, was cited for wrongful entrustment.

— A Salem Jr. Sr. High School student reported at 2:54 p.m. Tuesday having an ongoing issue on a social media app with an unknown person.

— Officers responded to Sebo Stadium at 9:34 a.m. Tuesday in reference to criminal mischief and observed inappropriate chalk drawings on the high school track.

— While officers were conducting an investigation in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 1:37 a.m. Tuesday, a South Lincoln Avenue resident reported her cell phone had been stolen while she was at the establishment.

— Dyllan M. Jordan, 24, New Middletown, was cited for driving under suspension after officers responded to the 200 block of East State Street at 12:14 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a possible burglary where a resident reported four people had followed her home from a bar and were banging on the door attempting to gain entry because she had been in a verbal altercation with one of them. Two had left on foot and two in a vehicle before officers arrived. Officers were able to locate the vehicle in the 200 block of South Ellsworth Avenue. The two people inside, including Jordan, who was the driver, said they were at the resident’s home attempting to retrieve a phone they believed was stolen. They were advised how to pursue the matter legally. The matter is under investigation.

Lisbon

– An officer responded to the 100 block of Sherman Street at 7:06 a.m. May 18 in reference to a resident who claimed to be in pain and unable to get up. The resident was loaded into an ambulance before refusing to be transported and walked out of the ambulance into his home. The officer was advised that the resident has done this previously.

– An officer assisted the sheriff’s office with a traffic stop on Saltwell Road at 6:50 p.m. May 17 during a probable cause search. No narcotics were found and a warning was issued.

– Officers responded to the 600 block of North Market Street at 4:57 p.m. May 17 for a reported medical and stood by until medical personnel completed an evaluation for the person in question.

– Avery Lee, no age or address listed, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County following a traffic stop on state Route 45 at 4:36 p.m. May 17 in which he was a passenger. The driver, Jessica Linder, no age or address listed, was cited for driving under suspension.

– Police responded to a 200 block East Lincoln Way business at 3:16 p.m. May 17 where a woman reported someone yells profanities her every time she goes to the business.

– Officers responded to the 300 block of Sherman Street at 8:50 a.m. May 15 in reference to a man standing in traffic and yelling. The man admitted to yelling and being in the roadway. The man was ultimately transported to the East Liverpool hospital for evaluation.

Leetonia

– An officer responded to the 300 block of Columbia Street at 7:56 p.m. May 18 in reference to a group of juveniles throwing rocks at his business. The officer found the juveniles and had them apologize to the business owner.

– An officer responded to the 100 block of Walnut Street at 10 p.m. May 17 in reference to a suspicious person who appeared to be intoxicated, walking south and throwing his hat at vehicles. The officer was unable to find the person in question.

Columbiana

– Sarah Wise, 29, Canton, was cited for driving under suspension and loud exhaust following a traffic stop in the 100 block of state Route 14 at 10:44 p.m. May 18.

– A man and woman reported on station at 9:03 a.m. May 17 a dispute with a roommate. Both were advised of their options.

– Tommy Grant, 30, Youngstown, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 7 and Metz Road at 5:40 a.m. May 15.

– Police took a report of theft in the 200 block of Union Street at 2:42 p.m. May 14.

– Heath Hites,35, East Liverpool, was arrested on a warrant out of Jefferson County and charged with having weapons while under disability following a traffic stop on West Park Avenue at 4:40 p.m. May 13.

– Gregory A. Daugherty, 55, Canfield, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 46 at state Route 14 at 5:34 a.m. May 13.
