Salem

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 7:40 p.m. Thursday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with the arrest of a man soliciting prostitution.

— A North Ellsworth Avenue resident reported at 7 p.m. Thursday the father of her children made a threatening comment toward her while on a video call. She said she did not want to press charges, but wanted the matter on file.

— Dixie Mullen, 49, Salem, was cited for dog at large violation after an officer responded to the 200 block of East Third Street at 5:54 p.m. Thursday in reference to a juvenile being bit by a chained dog while on the side walk. The juvenile sustained a small cut and received medical care. The report will be forwarded to the Columbiana County Health Department.

— An officer responded to the area of South Union Avenue and Maple Street at 3:52 p.m. Thursday where woman reported her juvenile son has behavioral issues and threatened the bus driver while getting dropped off. She said she had already notified the school.

— Tomas Santos, 20, Salem, was cited for no driver’s license after an officer observed him pull his vehicle off the road, stopping the vehicle and almost causing an accident in the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 3:39 p.m. Thursday.

— An East State Street resident reported at 3:36 p.m. Thursday finding her juvenile brother in possession of alcohol and prescription medication not prescribed to him and that it is an ongoing issue. Charges are pending.

— A Youngstown resident reported at 1:08 p.m. Thursday he was approached at work by a man he knows who has been harassing him and they had gotten in a verbal altercation.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 12:15 p.m. Thursday where a resident reported a juvenile had thrown a broom at her when told to clean the kitchen. Everyone involved was told to stay away from each other for the remainder of the day and the juvenile ultimately went to stay at a relative’s house for a few days.

— An officer responded to the 200 block of East Seventh Street at 9:55 a.m. Thursday in reference to electrical wire hung between garage that had been cut.
