Deputies were dispatched at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to Grant Street, Center Township, for a person making suicidal threats. North Star EMS transported the person to East Liverpool City Hospital.

– A man on Hawk Road, West Township, reported at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday that suspicious vehicles were driving past his residence, then stopping down the road.

— A woman on Chamberlain Street, Middleton Township, reported at 4:43 p.m. Tuesday that automatic gun fire was heard in the area Monday and Tuesday.

— A burglary was reported at 1:41 a.m. Oct. 24 on Fairway Road, Madison Township, where a person advised believing an ex-boyfriend entered the residence and threw items around. It did not appear that any items had been taken and the resident signed a refusal to cooperate, advising they would just file for a protection order.

Salem

–Officers responded to the 300 block of Fair Avenue at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday for a reported person to be removed. The caller advised that a woman arrived at his residence, and he wanted them to leave. Officers advised the woman that since she didn’t live at the residence she needed to leave, and the woman gathered some of her belongings and left.

–Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 2:03 p.m. Tuesday for a report of possible identity theft. The person advised that they received a phone call from a company claiming to be a loan agency and after giving them their personal information became concerned about identity theft. Officers advised the caller to freeze all accounts and report any fraudulent charges to their credit card companies.

–Officers responded to the 1200 block of Eastview Drive at 1:57 p.m. Tuesday for a report of identity theft. The caller requested a credit report through a credit card company that stated their personal information was shared on the dark web and the company advised them to make a police report. The caller said they checked all their personal information, and nothing was out of place.

–Officers responded to the area of West State Street at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday for a registration check on a possible stolen plate. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

–The school resource officer was advised by administrators at Southeast Elementary of an incident with a student that had ongoing issues with other students on the playground at recess at 12:59 p.m. Tuesday. All information was gathered, and the matter is under investigation.

–Officers responded to the 300 block of Fair Avenue at 12:53 p.m. Tuesday for a speak with officer complaint. The caller advised that a woman has been staying with him and started to move their belongings into the residence. Officers advised them of the eviction process.

–Shirley Wonner, Beloit, was cited for left of center after her northbound vehicle on North Ellsworth Avenue traveled left of the center line while turning onto Second Street striking a vehicle driven eastbound on Second Street by Elke Sekosky, Salem, at 11:24 a.m. Tuesday. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed by Kaiser Towing.

–Officers responded to the 200 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 9:32 a.m. Tuesday for an ongoing civil matter. The caller advised their neighbor was yelling at him and his workers while they were fixing a roof next door. Officers advised both parties the matter was civil and to stay away from each other until the work is complete.

–A pair of political signs were removed from the entrance to the polling location in the 1200 block of East Sixth Street at 9:13 a.m. Tuesday. The signs were placed flat and out of view in a nearby rock landscape bed.

–Officers responded to the 200 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 8:11 a.m. Tuesday for a civil matter. The caller advised that they were upset due to their neighbors putting a new roof on their home and shingles being blown onto her property, and that the contractors should not be working at the time of the complaint. The caller was advised of the noise ordinance times and that the contractors would pick up the singles with their permission.
