— Officers responded to the 400 block of Reilly Avenue at 10:40 a.m. Monday for a reported suspicious person. The caller advised of a person possibly smoking marijuana and skateboarding in the school stadium. Officers checked the area but did not locate the person in question.

— Officers responded to the 1600 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 8:34 a.m. Monday for a reported medical call. Officers were initially unable to locate the person in need of medical attention but ultimately located then on Cedar Street. The person was transported to the Salem Regional Medical center for medical attention.

— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 6:29 a.m. Monday for a reported assault. The caller advised one of the residents had been involved in a physical altercation with another resident and a staff member. Officers advised the caller of their options for dealing with the situation.

— Mark Knight was cited for driving under suspension and traffic control device after her westbound vehicle on South Lincoln Avenue ran a red light at 2:50 a.m. Monday. Knight was also found to have an active warrant and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded to the area of East Fourth Street and Ellsworth Avenue at 7:27 p.m. Sunday for a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Officers located the vehicle on East Fourth Street stopped in the roadway with its four-way lights activated. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop but the vehicle began to drive westbound and continued ignoring the emergency lights and sirens before striking the rear of a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. The driver Julio Box, was taken into custody for OVI following completion of field sobriety testing and transported to the police department charged with OVI, driving under suspension, assured clear distance ahead, and failure to comply, where it was found that he had an active warrant out of Mahoning County, and he was transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of East State Street at 3:17 p.m. Sunday for a reported runaway juvenile. Officers checked the area and were notified that the juvenile had been located in Lisbon by the Lisbon Police Department. Officers met with the Lisbon officers, picked up the juvenile, and returned her back to her residence.

— Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 1:01 p.m. Sunday for a reported reckless operator. Officers were advised that two vehicles were doing donuts in the parking lot and left prior to officers’ arrival Officers stood by in the area but were unable to locate them.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Euclid Street at 12:45 a.m. Sunday for a reported juvenile complaint. The caller advised that another juvenile had posted a photo on Snapchat which they were claiming to be a picture of their daughter, and a threat was also made by the juvenile. Officers attempted to contact them but were unable.

— Officers observed several people in Sebo Stadium after hours at 11:35 p.m. Saturday. Officers spoke with them, advising them of the hours and they departed.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Reilly Avenue at 11:30 p.m. Saturday for a person who had fallen in the roadway. She advised she was okay.

— Officers spoke to a person by phone at 2:19 p.m. Saturday regarding an incident that happened three years ago. Officers attempted to speak with the involved parties but were unable to reach them. The matter is under investigation.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Seventh Street at 9:17 a.m. Saturday for a reported burglary. Someone had forced entry into a residence overnight and stolen items from inside. Officers gathered information and photographed damage to a door. Officers also followed up with neighbors for possible surveillance video.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 9:09 a.m. Saturday for a report of suspicious activity. Several people pulled into the driveway of a residence and went into the garage. Officers spoke with the homeowners who were aware of the individuals and advised they are allowed to be on the property.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Ohio Avenue at 5:37 a.m. Saturday for a report of possible criminal trespass. The caller advised they’d been instructed to contact officers if they noticed anyone at the residence next to theirs and they observed that windows were open, and lights were on in the residence. The Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office had evicted everyone from the residence the day prior and nobody was allowed back in due to it being condemned. Officers got permission from the homeowner to search the residence and located a man, Thomas Klink, 33, Salem, taking him into custody for criminal trespass and transporting him to the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Woodland Avenue at 11:36 p.m. Friday for a report of a barking dog. Officers attempted to contact the owner, but nobody was home. Officers put an ordinance violation warning tag on their front door.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 6:23 p.m. Friday for a report of juveniles in the roadway. The caller advised that kids walked into the roadway in front of a car and almost got hit. Officers spoke with the juveniles, and they advised it was just an accident, and they were on their way to the Fun Factory, and officers advised them to watch where they are going and stay on the crosswalk when crossing the roadway.
