Salem

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Franklin Avenue at 11:23 p.m. Monday to assist the fire department. Officers assisted until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 10:01 p.m. Monday for a reported dispute. Officers collected information about the matter and both parties willingly separated for the night.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of South Broadway Avenue at 6:19 p.m. Monday for a reported bicycle theft that occurred in the 100 block of East Sixth Street sometime last week. The caller’s bicycle was taken from a shed at the rear of his residence, and the caller advised that a report would be filed, and contact would be made if a bike fitting the description was located.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Rose Avenue at 6:11 p.m. Monday for a report of people inside a garage that were apparently talking about stealing things from there. A group of residents had attempted to speak with them which appeared to have scared them off and the police were contacted. Officers checked the garage, and nothing appeared to be taken. An extra watch was posted for the residence, and the residents were advised to contact officers if they saw anything unusual.

— Officers responded with the fire department at 3:28 p.m. Monday to assist EMT with a person who needed transported by ambulance. Officers stood by until the person in question was transported.

— Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 1:38 p.m. Monday about concerns regarding her adult son.

Columbiana

— Larry Warner, of Salem, was cited at 11:40 p.m. Nov. 1 for driving under suspension and white light to rear violations on state Route 14.

— Logan Wilson, of Columbiana, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. Oct. 31 in the first block of East Friend Street on charges of OVI, failing to identify himself, and driving under a 12-point suspension, after he was observed to be operating his vehicle recklessly.

— A female subject reported at 12:42 p.m. Oct. 30 in the first block of South Vine Street that she had been receiving threatening telecommunications.

— Edward Pittman, of Youngstown, was arrested at 11:28 p.m. Oct. 29 in the area of state Route 14 and old Route 14 on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop. He also received a citation for driving under suspension.

— Kassandria Cole, 32, of Columbiana, was arrested at 1:54 a.m. Oct. 28 for OVI near Stanton Avenue and North Middle Street.

— Harry Powell, of Akron, was cited at 5:37 p.m. Oct. 27 in the area of state Route 7 and Metz Road for driving under suspension.

— A complainant came on station at 10:55 a.m. Nov. 2 to report a road rage incident that began near the intersection of state Routes 7 and 14.

Sheriff’s Office

— Charles Matthew Davis, 34, Forbes Road, Wellsville, was charged with domestic violence and taken to the Columbiana County jail after a domestic disturbance was reported at 1:12 a.m. Saturday at Twin Oaks Mobile Home Park, state Route 45, Lisbon. Deputies spoke with the victim, who had been assaulted by a man she knew who was intoxicated and left. Deputies located the suspect, Davis, in a field on Forbes Road where they placed him under arrest.

— A custody issue was reported at 8:57 p.m. Thursday on Mahoning Avenue in Knox Township. The man was advised to contact an attorney.

Highway Patrol

— Christopher Seman, of Bye Road in East Palestine, was cited at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 30 for failure to control, when his vehicle went off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail, crossed over the center line and struck a ditch.

–Piper Tunno, of state Route 45 in Lisbon, was cited at 4:20 p.m. Nov. 1 in Fairfield Township for failure to maintain an assured clear distance, after she rear-ended a vehicle driven by Carolyn Johnson, of Fairview Avenue in Salem, while the two vehicles were southbound exiting state Route 11 to state Route 344.

–Lara Martinez, of Powell, was cited at 8:40 p.m. Nov. 3 in Hanover Township for failure to maintain an assured clear distance, after she rear-ended a vehicle driven by Michael Lockhart, of Canfield, while two vehicles were stopped northbound at the intersection of state Route 9 and U.S. Route 30.

–Jeanette K. Rininger, of Whinnery Road in Hanoverton, was cited at 9 p.m. Nov. 5 in Butler Township for failure to control, after she was traveling eastbound on Georgetown Road, turned right onto McCann Road and traveled off the left side of the road and struck a ditch.

–Layne Moore, of West Main Street in East Palestine, was cited at 5:37 p.m. Oct. 29 in Perry Township for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign. Moore was stopped at a stop sign on Cunningham Road and pulled out in front of a northbound vehicle on state Route 344 driven by Angela Garlock, of Seacrest Road in Salem, striking her.
