Salem

– Officers responded to the 2200 block of East State Street at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a customer who got angry about an order, causing a scene. The customer will be served a trespass notice.

– Taira L. Scullion, 24, Salem, was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments after officers responded to the 300 block of Sugartree Alley at 5:57 a.m. Wednesday in reference to two people digging in a dumpster. The two people left on bicycles, but left three backpacks near the dumpster, one of which revealed a syringe, which Scullion said was hers.

– Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a shoplifting report in which the suspect “skip scanned” 27 items worth $107.26. A charge of theft is pending.

– A complainant reported on station at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday that he had been working on a rental property in the 600 block of East Ninth Street and an unknown person had taken some of the tools there without permission.

– Officers responded to the 1000 block of East State Street at 3:04 p.m. Tuesday in reference to the well-being of a man sitting in the parking lot. Officers spoke with the man and he was voluntarily transported to the hospital.

— Brian Royea, no address noted, was cited for expired registration at 10:40 a.m. Monday in the area of state Route 344 and Beeson Mill Road as well as given a verbal warning about drug paraphernalia discovered in his vehicle during a routine traffic stop. Suspected marijuana was confiscated and disposed.
