Sheriff’s Office

— A woman on Lippincott Road, West Township reported at 4:43 p.m. Tuesday that all the electronic devices inside her residence were hacked.

— A woman from Medina County reported at 2:58 p.m. Monday that a relative who lives on Adams Road in Center Township was sending her inappropriate messages. She was told to contact her local law enforcement agency in Medina County.

— A deputy was dispatched at 1:58 p.m. Monday to Discount Drug Mart, state Route 45, Lisbon, Center Township, for a theft report. Cheyenne Garvis, 23, Rose Drive, Lisbon, was charged with theft and two counts of drug paraphernalia for allegedly concealing five items inside her purse and leaving the store without paying for the items totaling $17. She also allegedly possessed a glass pipe with burn marks and residue inside when arrested. During booking at the jail, she possessed a small clear baggie with crystal like substance residue. She’s facing a pretrial on Feb. 27 in Columbiana County Municipal Court.

— A domestic dispute report was taken at 12:42 p.m. Monday on Gavers Road, Hanover Township.

— A deputy was dispatched at 12:40 a.m. Monday to state Route 170, Middleton Township for a trespassing report. The deputy spoke to a person who was having some type of medical issue who was then transported to East Liverpool City Hospital by Negley EMS.

— A deputy was dispatched at 11:33 a.m. Monday to Discount Drug Mart, state Route 45, Lisbon, Center Township for a theft report. Tammy Virden, 62, Sunset Drive, Lisbon, was charged with theft for allegedly concealing 10 items inside her purse and failing to pay for the items totaling $41. She’s facing a pretrial on Feb. 10 in Columbiana County Municipal Court.

Salem

– Officers responded to the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 1:13 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a welfare check. The person in question was voluntarily transported to a local hospital’s emergency room for evaluation.

– Officers responded to the 900 block of East Sixth Street at 12:12 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a domestic in which the complainant reported she had been in a verbal argument with another person who picked up a knife and cut himself. First responders arrived and the injured person was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

– A 16-year-old Salem resident was taken into custody and transported to the Tobin center after officers responded to the 500 block of Aetna Street at 8:59 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a juvenile who was not in school and on whom school administrators requested a wellness check, finding the missing juvenile to have visible marks on his face caused by the charged juvenile.

– Officers responded with first responders to the 800 block of New Garden Avenue at 1:29 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a highly intoxicated man who had taken a large amount of his prescription pills. Officers learned of a domestic dispute that had occurred between the man in question and his pregnant girlfriend prior to his ingesting the pills. The girlfriend had visible injuries to her wrist and neck caused by the man after she hit him in the face, according to the girlfriend. She refused medical treatment and the man was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The matter was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.

– Brent Trey Miller, 39, Lisbon, was charged with drug paraphernalia and cited for driving under suspension and no turn signal following a traffic stop on Chestnut Grove at 9:06 p.m. Monday.

– Officers responded to the area of Western Reserve and Painter Road at 4:48 p.m. Monday in reference to the well-being of man walking in the area. Officers found the man in question in the 2000 block of Pearce Circle and identified him. Salem first responders and an ambulance were requested and the man was voluntarily transported by ambulance to the Salem hospital emergency room.

– A complainant reported on station at 4:06 p.m. Monday that while he was walking his dogs in Burchfield Alley, two dogs ran up behind him and startled him. The complainant said he yelled at the dogs and they ran away. An officer reviewed camera footage of the incident and spoke with the owner of the dogs, issuing a verbal warning for dogs at large.

Perry Township

– Melanie Sturgell, 47, Salem, was cited for improper backing after officers responded to the area of Elberon Avenue and Jones Drive at 9:34 p.m. Nov. 22 in reference to a vehicle that was backed off the roadway and was struck.

– Officers responded to the 1900 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:54 p.m. Nov. 22 for a medical and assisted first responders until no longer needed.

– Officers responded to the 1400 block of New Garden Avenue at 4:01 p.m. Nov. 20 in reference to a civil matter regarding a damage fence. The complainant reported wires on the fence shared with a neighbor had come loose and injured one of her horses. Officers advised the complainant to contact the neighbor prior to attempting to fix the fence.
