— A welfare check was requested at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday at a Cameron Road, Madison Township property after a caller from Maine said he had not spoken to a relative at the address for a few days. A deputy made contact with the relative, who said he was fine, but his phone was taken so he had to get a new one and did not have anyone’s phone numbers to call them. The caller’s phone number was provided to the relative so he could call him.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Pershing Street at 4:11 a.m. Tuesday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers spoke with the person who advised his juvenile child was playing on his phone and accidentally dialed 911.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of Franklin Avenue at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday for a reported juvenile problem. The juvenile’s mother advised that her daughter had run off down Washington Avenue. Officers located the juvenile at Centennial Park and while speaking with her the juvenile made suicidal comments and the fire department and EMT were contacted to respond. Due to the comments, the juvenile was transported to Akron Children’s Hospital and the mother met with EMT on scene and was advised of where her daughter was going.

— Officers responded to the 1600 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 8:58 p.m. Tuesday for a reported noise complaint. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised that she was home alone and had not been playing music. Officers advised her that she is just being asked to turn it down, but it is not enforceable due to her living in a commercial area.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Ohio Avenue at 8:18 p.m. Tuesday for a reported juvenile problem. The caller advised that officers were no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 6:59 p.m. Tuesday for a reported protection order violation. Information was obtained about the incident, and the matter will be sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Florida Avenue at 6:52 p.m. Tuesday to assist Perry Township Officers with serving a warrant. Officers were able to contact the individual in question, whose name was not listed and who was taken into custody without incident.

— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday to assist with a combative patient. When officers arrived, the person departed with EMT without incident.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Pidgeon Road at 5:04 p.m. Tuesday to assist Perry Township officers in serving a warrant. Officers were unable to make contact.

— Officers spoke to a person by phone at 5:02 p.m. Tuesday regarding a hit and skip. The caller advised that an unknown person struck the rear of their vehicle in the Giant Eagle parking lot, and that when they pulled into the parking lot to report the accident, the driver of the other vehicle got out of their vehicle began yelling profanity and then got back into their vehicle and drove away. The matter is under investigation.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a local business’ employee that was rude to them and had two aggressive dogs barking at them the entire time. The caller advised that after he asked the employee to put the dogs away the employee told them to leave. Officers spoke with the employee who advised that the caller was rude to him, so he told him to leave.

— Officers responded to the area of Dodge Drive and West State Street at 8:19 a.m. Tuesday for a reported traffic signal malfunction. Officers observed the traffic signal to be cycling normally.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Buckeye Avenue at 8:07 a.m. Tuesday for a reported parking complaint. The caller advised a vehicle was parked in front of a stop sign. Officers located the vehicle, advising the driver of the complaint and to move the vehicle which she did without incident.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:48 a.m. Tuesday for a reported possible burglary. When officers arrived, they did not observe anyone in the area, and did not locate anyone when checking the area.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 1:17 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a possible burglary. The caller advised that someone was trying to open her window, and officers checked the area but did not observe any footprints in the snow near the window.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Reilly Avenue at 12:31 a.m. Tuesday for a reported suspicious person. Officers located the person who was waiting for clothes outside a residence where someone he knows lives, in which a no contact order had been placed. He also advised he never went to the property but was communicating with someone else who lives there, and she was getting his clothes packed up for him to take. Officers advised him to stay away from the residence once he got his clothes and due to the cold weather and the person being homeless, officers transported him to the police department to sit in the lobby and stay warm until he could contact his brother.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday for a reported possible burglary. The caller advised that someone was trying to open her window, and officers checked the area but did not observe any footprints in the snow near the window.

— Officers responded to the 1600 block of Fairview Avenue at 11:03 p.m. Monday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that a person with outstanding warrants was coming to her house and taking her dog, and that she was worried that they may be in the house at that time. Officers checked the interior of the residence, which was clear, and she was told to call back if needed.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 10:41 p.m. Monday for an unknown issue. The caller advised her brother that lives in the same complex was outside her apartment and that he was told by the manager not to come around her building. The caller was advised of her options.

— Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 6:46 p.m. Monday for a report of a vehicle with no taillights. The caller advised the vehicle in front of them had no lights on the back and that he almost hit them. Officers checked the area but did not locate the vehicle.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Third Street at 6:11 p.m. Monday for a wellness check. Officers attempted contact with the man, but he would not come to the door and a neighbor advised that the person was currently home.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 4:46 p.m. Monday for a report of a woman intoxicated in the parking lot. Officers located a woman standing behind her vehicle in the parking lot that was highly intoxicated, and she advised that she contacted her daughter for a ride and was waiting for her because she was too intoxicated to drive home. While speaking with the woman she changed her story and stated she had to call her daughter for a ride. Due to the cold weather officers gave the woman a ride home.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Rose Avenue at 4:41 p.m. Monday for a report of trespassing. The caller advised that an unknown man was observed walking around his residence and sitting on his porch. The person also left a bag of clothing in his mudroom and was seen walking around his neighbor’s home. An extra watch was placed on both residences and the bag of clothing was brought back to the police department.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of East Pershing Street at 4:09 p.m. Monday for a report of a man climbing through a window. Officers spoke with the man at the residence, where he lives, and he advised that he forgot his keys, so he just went into the residence through a window.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Franklin Avenue at 3:22 p.m. Monday for a reported domestic dispute. The caller advised their juvenile son had been threatening to harm everyone in the residence, and they wanted him to be transported to Akron Children’s Boardman for an evaluation. Officers contacted EMT who transported the juvenile.
