Sheriff’s Office

— A resident on U.S. Route 30, Center Township, at 6:28 p.m. Wednesday requested deputies remove a woman from his residence and property. She does not live there and he said his son has told her multiple times to leave. Upon deputies arriving, she was leaving in her vehicle.

— The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported at 4:21 p.m. Wednesday that a suspicious male was in the 12900 block of state Route 45, Madison Township, alongside the road asking for gas. A deputy checked the area, but didn’t find anyone.

Salem

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Penn Avenue at 4:11 a.m. Thursday for a report of an apartment flooding. The caller was able to get the water turned off and was advised to contact his landlord in the morning.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Euclid Street at 12:08 a.m. Thursday for a report of harassment. The caller advised that her juvenile daughter has received two texts through social media from two other juveniles threatening to stab her. One of the messages was received sometime in the middle of March and the other earlier that night and snapshots of the threats were provided by the caller. Both were in the middle of a back-and-forth conversation between the juveniles and her daughter, and it was determined that it was a continuation of a prior incident in the 400 block of North Ellsworth Avenue during which all parties were told to stop all contact, and it had apparently begun again. The caller was advised that a report would be filed with the juvenile officer and was asked to email the snapshots, and it was explained to her daughter that she needed to block all contact and not respond to any further texts, keeping the contact one-sided. Contact will be made with the other juveniles.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of East Second Street at 11 p.m. Wednesday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers checked the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of West Fifth Street at 9:28 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a vehicle parked at a closed business and a man in dark clothing walking away from the vehicle. Officers located the owner of the vehicle who advised that he was visiting someone in the area and didn’t know where to park so he parked there. Everything checked okay and the man was sent on his way.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 4:43 p.m. Wednesday for a reported reckless operator. Officers checked the area and located the vehicle in question in the 200 block of East Second Street. Officers spoke with the driver, advising him of the complaint.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Pershing Street at 4:41 p.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious person. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised they were okay and did not want any help.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Mound Street at the school resource officer’s request at 4:19 p.m. Wednesday to attempt to contact a resident about one of their children. Officers were unable to contact them at the residence but did contact them by phone and advised them of the problem.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Euclid Street at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for a criminal trespass report. The caller advised that a person had been in her yard, and she wanted him trespassed and completed the trespass form.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Howard Avenue at 12:24 p.m. Wednesday for a criminal trespass report. The person in question had previously been trespassed from the property and was also violating a post-conviction no contact order. Officers will issue a warrant as soon as possible for the violation and advised the court of the probation violation.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Vine Avenue at 10:44 a.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. Officers spoke to the parents who advised that the juvenile was in school.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Newgarden Avenue at 10:12 a.m. Wednesday for a report of criminal damage. The caller advised that sometime in the last week a person threw a rock through her front porch window, and that they were unsure who may have caused the damage.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Arch Street at 9:28 a.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised they were okay.

Columbiana

— Officers took a private property crash report at 8:04 a.m. March 21 in the Camelot Apartments parking lot.

— A lost wallet was found in the intersection of West Park Avenue and Pearl and turned into police at 7:12 a.m. March 20. After the owner was identified, it was reunited with the subject.

— Police responded at 6:20 a.m. to the intersection of Creek and Metz roads in New Waterford at the request of the Ohio State Highway Patrol for a possibly intoxicated subject. After the patrol arrived the subject for OVI, he was transported to Columbiana Police Department for further testing. No other information was available.

— A female subject at Manor Apartments spoke to an officer at 10:52 a.m. March 19 about her missing granddaughter. She was supposed to stay at a friend’s house and then go to school together the following day, but she hasn’t seen her since.

— A city resident came on station at 9:29 p.m. March 18 to report she was being harassed online by a male via social media and false reviews to her business.

— Dillon Lockhart, of Wellsville, was cited at 2:19 p.m. March 18 in the area of Park Avenue and Lakeview Drive for driving under suspension following a traffic stop.

— Debra Farkas, of Hanoverton, was arrested at 9:40 a.m. March 18 on charges of obstructing official business, resisting arrest and a marked lanes’ violation, after she allegedly attempted to drive away from a traffic stop in the 1100 block of State Route 14.

— A Hawkins Lane resident reported at 7:38 p.m. March 17 that someone was banging on his door in the early hours.

— Police responded at 7:53 p.m. March 16 to the 44000 block of Heck Road after an Amazon driver called to report being threatened by a resident holding a shotgun.

— A Birdfish patron reported shortly after noon March 16 that his vehicle had been hit while at the business establishment. A witness put a note on his vehicle.

— An employee of Duke and Duchess reported that a shirtless, tattooed white male stole a tall boy of Bud Ice shortly before 1:29 a.m. March 16.
