Sheriff’s Office

— Deputies responded at 3:48 a.m. to a report of a disturbance in Salineville on Friday. Deputies were advised that a woman had fallen on Main Street and was yelling for help. Deputies assisted the woman who said she had been arguing with her husband outside the residence. EMS was refused.

— Deputies responded at 5:25 p.m. on Saturday to a domestic dispute on Carmel Achor Road in Middletown Township.

— Deputies responded at 10:43 p.m. to Church Road in New Waterford for a welfare check.

— Deputies responded to an animal-related call at the dog pound on Wednesday at 12:14 a.m. Deputies assisted in dropping off a dog at the pound and a report was sent to the warden.

East Palestine

— Officers responded at 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday to East North Avenue to a report of children possibly being on the roof of a residence.

— Officers were advised of a zoning violation in the area of East North Avenue and made contact with the resident at 4:44 p.m. on Tuesday.

— Officers discovered at 3:49 p.m.individuals at a vacant residence on West Main Street. They were later determined to be workers that were employees of a company that maintains foreclosed homes.

— Officers responded at 1:33 p.m. on Tuesday to East Highland Street to a report of cut grass and other debris blowing into a neighbor’s yard. The officer spoke to both parties and observed no damage to the neighbor’s property.

— Officers responded to Hillside Drive to a report a woman had abandoned her infant son with her sister at 1:07 p.m. on Tuesday.

— Officers assisted EMS with a call at 11:09 p.m. on Monday on North Market Street.

— Officers responded at 11:08 a.m. to East Clark Street on Monday to a report of juveniles throwing rocks at a house. Police made contact with the mother of the children and the matter was resolved. There was no damage done to the house.

— Officers responded at 9:06 p.m. on Sunday to Hillside Drive to a report of a domestic incident. After an investigation, Matthew Barnes, no age or address given, was arrested and charged with domestic violence.

— Officers responded at 5:37 p.m. to South Washington Street on Saturday to a possible domestic.

— Officers responded at 9:40 a.m. to North Market Street for a report of a suspicious person on Saturday.

— Officers responded at 8:55 a.m. to a 911 hang-up call on East Martin Street on Saturday.

— Officers took a report at 6:34 p.m. at the station on Friday from a woman who said her husband would not leave her alone. Officers spoke to the woman, her husband and two children.

— Officers located a loose dog at 11:29 a.m. on Friday on Alice Street. The dog was returned to its owner.
